We couldn’t fault the point hotel. The staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful even at busy times like New Years. The rooms are clean, well equipped and very comfortable and the roof top bar and restaurant were lovely. We will absolutely stay again. The only feedback I’d mention is the toiletries provided (soap/ hand wash and shampoo/conditioner combined were pretty average and not what was pictured in the advertisement. Otherwise this was an incredible stay.

Fantastic hotel!!! I come to many hotels and this was by far the most beautiful thing I visited. Everything was very clean and very friendly welcome. From here you can explore the whole city without distant travel. Directly from the hotel you also have a walking bridge to South Banks. In the hotel you also have the sky deck with a great view of the city. Highly recommended

La piscina del apartamento con servicios es buena. Las vistas son bonitas, ya que nos alojamos en la planta alta. La ubicación es perfecta, cerca de la estación de tren.

¡Gran estancia! Las habitaciones son un poco pequeñas pero tienen todo y muy limpias! El desayuno buffet fue increíble. El servicio fue excelente! Sólo el tamaño bajo intentó encontrar el hotel! ¡Escondido en la calle se siente un poco extraño. Estaría de nuevo!

Nice location on the river. Excellent service by the doorman who helped me greatly as I was on crutches due to recent surgery. Lovely room. Overall a good experience.

El bar de la habitación es un lugar para visitar! Tony y sus colegas fueron muy hospitalarios, nos mezclaron la mayoría de los menús, y nuestros favoritos fueron Beet-ness y Espresso 2.0. Nos quedamos en el 19o piso y pensamos que la vista a la noche era buena. Las opciones del menú de desayuno Buffet fueron grandes, sin embargo, hemos elegido del a la carta menu acompañado con algunos cafés fantásticos para comenzar el día.

First time staying at a Shangri La. It wasn't terrible. But it wasn't good. Or at least not as good as I expected. Starting with the positives. The location of the hotel is superb in Cairns. Great. Now the negatives. The finishings in the room were not up to the five star standard I'd expect in terms of just general quality. The cupboard door was also broken and hanging off the hinges. The TV was attached to a wall so that you cannot watch it from the bed or the built in seating/sofa. So if you want to watch you have to stand in the middle of the room. Badly designed and a poor experience. Luckily I was only staying a few nights. There was a fire alarm one of the days. Fine. But the housekeeping came at the exact same time as the fire alarm announcement. Wasn't sure if it was the door or the alarm. And resulted in the housekeeper walking in when I had no clothes on! For the money. It's not worth it. You can get better stays on Cairns. I stayed in a cheaper 4 star place which was much nicer and cheaper. Wouldn't stay again. Questioning on staying in the chain elsewhere.

It was decent, nothing exceptional. There’s a short flight of stairs leading to the entrance, and you’ll need to push the door open to access the lobby. This can be quite inconvenient if you’re carrying multiple large bags. The lobby itself is small and shared with the bar and dining area, and due to the building’s layout, the space feels quite cramped and confined.
