After a crowded Kyoto, I love the peaceful and tranquil environment of this beautiful onsen hotel-ryokan and charming castle town. Everything about the hotel speaks of relaxation and well-being. It's only a 7-8min walk away from Hikone Train Station but there is a hotel shuttle that leaves at 9, 10 and 11 am if you need a drop off. Pick up could probably be arranged too. The hotel offers a pretty outdoor terrace with Castle view, an on-site spa with massage, a library lounge with free drinks till 10pm, a foot reflex corner and a compact onsen with a silk bath (all with Castle view) and hot stone benches. I had the whole onsen to myself in the evening, so it was very relaxing. The staff are kind and lovely too, making an effort to explain all the services and amenities in English. The buffet breakfast was also one of the better ones I've seen in my trips to Japan. If you're visiting the Castle, the entrance road is right outside the hotel. The main castle road is about 5-10 min away but you will pass by a famous Japanese confectionery, Taneya and Club Harie. Their souvenirs are one that even the Japanese cherish. I would wish to come here again with my partner one day. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Good hotel with great location. Very clean and delicious breakfast. Price is not bad. However room is too small.

We didn't know that this is a love hotel and only realised it the day before checking in, as the check in is only from 6pm. The room is very spacious and we didn't mind the ****, condoms and lots of beauty products it came with. :D However, I didn't know that hotel rooms in Japan can allow smoking, so the strong cigarette smell in the room was very off putting. We put up a 'do not disturb' sign because we don't need cleaning daily. The second day I noticed some of the **** from the hotel were gone in our room but the room wasn't made (bed wasn't made, trash not emptied). I asked the staff and they said they removed it because they thought it bothered us. This was a bit weird to me, I'm not sure where they got the idea from and I don't know why they entered the room. It's also important to note that the train only runs once per hour most of the day (during some hours twice).

El hotel goza de una ubicación privilegiada junto a la estación de Moriyama, lo que facilita el transporte. Además, hay varios restaurantes cerca, así que comer no es un problema. El personal de recepción es amable y está dispuesto a resolver cualquier problema de los huéspedes. Aunque las habitaciones son pequeñas, están completamente equipadas.

La ubicación es excelente, justo en el centro de Hamaotsu. Sin embargo, el estacionamiento estaba lleno, así que utilicé el estacionamiento de monedas que estaba justo en frente, pero era difícil aparcar porque pasaba un tranvía por allí. El horario de apertura del buffet de desayuno estaba expuesto en un tablero, lo que facilitaba su comprensión. Menos mal que había bastante hielo disponible.

Being right next to the train station and a supermarket (and 100 yen shop!), this hotel is very convenient! It was great to find a washing machine and dryer within the men's public bath area--this allowed me to start washing some laundry, relax in the bath and then free massage chair, and then take my clean clothes back to my room. Breakfast offered a lot of variety--it was wonderful! A bonus was that the hotel had three bicycles available for free rental (during the time I stayed there--this is perhaps a seasonal amenity). This allowed me to ride to the ferry to Okishima one morning (note: it takes one hour to reach the ferry and then one to get back to the hotel, so plan accordingly).

Nos quedamos dos noches en el hotel con desayuno y cena. La página web de Trip.com mostró que había un ron en el hotel, pero cuando se nos ingresó, nos dijeron que era un ”error”. Es muy desapontado que la Trip.com incluya fotos irrelevantes para el hotel. La cena también fue diferente de la foto web. Cada uno debe pagar 2500 yens para actualizar la cena a shsbu shabu. El desayuno es estilo japonés con una selección limitada. Además de estos, teníamos la vista del lago y el centro comercial está cerca de las ventajas.

This is my first time to stay in this super hotel. The hotel is very close to the station and easy to access. The room is big enough for one person and I really like to the big square table in my room. The service is nice and you can select your own pillow. Free soft drink is available in certain period. The variety of the breakfast is not much as other hotel I stayed before. However, the breakfast is good enough for me since it offers the food style I like most - salad, Japanese style egg, different kinds of cooked vegetables, and miso soup. I plan to stay in the same hotel next time.

El hotel está justo al lado del lago Biwa, lo cual es muy conveniente. No hay muchos restaurantes cerca, pero la playa junto al lago es preciosa. El personal es muy amable y, aunque las instalaciones de las habitaciones son un poco antiguas, están bien mantenidas.

What surprised us most about this hotel was the amazing breakfast! There was so much variety! It's very close to Hikone station. It seems that it even offers bicycles for (free) use. We thought of going for a short bike ride in the morning but didn't have enough time--needed to get to Kyoto (only an hour away) quickly. This hotel makes an overnight trip to see beautiful Hikone castle very feasible.
