UUsuario invitadoThe food amenities need significant improvement. As this is a resort, dining is an essential part of every guest's experience. Offering a buffet for both breakfast and dinner would greatly enhance guest satisfaction, along with providing a wider variety of food options.
I would also like to commend the room service staff. They are incredibly hardworking, professional, and provide excellent service. However, it is disheartening to see how overworked they appear, especially having to deliver meals to every room throughout the day. They deserve greater recognition, respect, and fair compensation for the physically demanding work they do. Their daily wage does not seem to reflect the effort and dedication they put into serving guests.
TThat girl abroadUnfortunately, I wasn’t even able to stay at this place. I couldn’t get hold of anyone from the resort and ended up stuck in town at night without transport. I even tried their facebook page. Leyte is not the easiest place to get around, especially as a foreigner, and communication is really important.
I strongly feel there should be a message from the resort before arrival to check in with guests and help arrange transport if needed. That small step would make a huge difference and prevent stressful situations.
I traveled specifically to Leyte for whale shark watching. While I was on the tour, the guide mentioned that Kuting Reef actually offers whale shark excursions themselves. Knowing that beforehand would have saved me a lot of stress trying to organize separate transport to the activity.
Better communication and clearer information about available excursions would really improve the guest experience.
I am so bumped I missed out on the opportunity to experience this stay.
MMiss SigWe had to ask the front desk staff to transfer us to another room because the aircon unit wasn’t working. There’s a water dispenser at the 3rd floor. Breakfast is buffet; not much selection but it’s okay to get you by. No elevator as well.
Location is great. 24 hours open Andok’s and supermarkets are near. ATM machines are everywhere.
Must visit restaurants: Ocho; Prakaz bbq; Fahrenheit food Center. The hotel restaurant is a good place to dine too. Huge servings and tasty. Very friendly staff also.
Full of cute and antique stuff in this hotel which are definitely collectors items; very interesting.
Tip: if you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room not on the street side as the vehicles tend to be very noisy since the rooms are just until the 4th floor.
Rromeo7980Hotel was conveniently located near ROBINSONs Mall. Stayed over for 1 day after visiting friends in province. Affordable, clean and convenient rooms. Located 10 mins to Airport. Easy to get transportation. Rooms are a bit small and narrow but ok for a stayover. Hotel staffs are polite and helpful. Overall a very good experience. Will come back again. Need to walk outside to lift area to replenish water. They have a hot/cold water dispenser there.
MMark Ryan TorrenteOverall its always a nice stay with Summit Hotel. Been staying with the same hotel every year since 2023. They gave me a late checkout because the room was not yet ready.
Hotel is strategically located and very accessible. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Pool is nice. The downside only is there is no gym. I hope that they are able to make one.
During my stay this time, I was awaken by a drilling and thumping on the wall next room at 3am! It was just a bummer coz I was not able to sleep afterwards. Reported it the next day and told me there is something wrong with the AC next door. And gave out notice to all rooms that they are having some maintenance during day time and may hear some noise.
Other than that, its a great stay always. Ill still consider staying with Summit Hotel.
UUsuario invitadoVery basic breakfast
No restaurant (only a basic set breakfast)
Basthroom is small and full of mould
Single beds are narrow and pillows are slaps of foam
No bottled water (you are supposed to get purified wtaer from a dispenser in the corridor
The corridor is very noisy (doors slamming)
Two lifts but only 1 working (cost savings?)
On the positive side: a very reliable and high speed internet.
Overall, a very basic local hotel not really reflected in the name.
UUsuario invitadoHotel room was great, very clean and exceeded my expectations. There were robes hanging and the sheets were nice and crisp. Bed was firm and the pillows were soft. Breakfast was meh. It was deep fried breaded fish and cold rice, the bread was not refilled and the scrambled eggs were not very appetizing. The location would have been nice as it is close to the airport, but if you are coming from MacArthur park, you will have to drive pretty far to make a legal u-turn, and to make matters worst, there is no parking at the hotel. They had 4 slots, 1 was occupied by their shuttle and the rest by cars that probably was there for quite a while judging by the dust gathering on the windshields.
