One of the best 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at! Newly established, everything feels fresh, modern, and well-maintained. The overall experience was excellent, with a perfect balance of comfort and style. It’s truly a great place to relax and enjoy a luxurious stay. Highly recommended!

This is a new hotel located very close to Ipoh Parade Mall. Clean beds and lobby! However breakfast buffet spread is not as good as the Hotel nearby. Photo is the pricelist of the famous butter cake in Ipoh!

En primer lugar, quedamos bastante decepcionados porque nos asignaron el Bloque C y la habitación era diferente a las fotos que nos dieron al reservar (sin vistas fantásticas ni bañera como la que se mostraba en la reserva). Además, nuestra habitación daba a la ciudad y había pájaros merodeando por el balcón. Hay tres bloques, y el Bloque C que nos dieron estaba bastante vacío y daba miedo. Al caminar por la zona del hotel por la noche, vimos que solo había unas pocas habitaciones ocupadas. Incluso el ambiente en el Bloque C era inquietante, pero por suerte no había rastro de él, porque si no, nos iríamos inmediatamente. Ni siquiera nos atrevimos a abrir las cortinas, porque era demasiado inquietante, sabiendo que no había muchos huéspedes en el Bloque C. Mi marido me contó que pidió cambiarse al Bloque A unos días antes de nuestra llegada, pero le informaron que no había habitaciones libres en el Bloque A. Al llegar, pedimos cambiarnos al Bloque A, pero nos informaron que teníamos que añadir RM250 por noche porque era el Bloque A. Información contradictoria. Además, deberían llenar la habitación para los visitantes del Bloque A o B, así que no sería tan inquietante. En segundo lugar, los inodoros no están muy limpios, con manchas amarillas. Aunque nos sorprendió la decoración de la cama y el pastel de cumpleaños, el ambiente en el Bloque C es inquietante. Definitivamente no volveré.

Have a wonder stay in this hotel. The location is good and near to one of the famous seafood restaurants. The manager (Steven) is very friendly and helpful, We will for sure stay back this hotel for our next trip in Teluk Intan.

Service was pleasant. Room was clean. Covered parking spaces👍. Loved that there was a food court with a variety of food just below the hotel and a mall across the street. Hotel is so near to all the tourist attractions in Taiping. Will definitely come back again. Tq.

Charming Boutique Stay in the Heart of Ipoh. A lovely boutique hotel beautifully furnished and centrally located in Ipoh. We especially enjoyed the cozy lobby and its charming Art Deco touches. Rooms are limited, so it’s best to book early, particularly during holidays and festive seasons. We stayed in a duplex room, which was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The room was well-equipped with thoughtful amenities, including a hair dryer, slippers, a filtered water dispenser, a Nespresso coffee machine, and disposable toiletries—more than what you’d typically expect from many hotels. Breakfast was very decent, with made-to-order options such as Western dishes or local nasi lemak. There are also plenty of local coffee shops and eateries nearby if you’d like to explore other breakfast choices. The hotel’s location is a major plus. It’s within walking distance of popular Ipoh attractions like Concubine Lane, Memory Lane Market, and Mural Art’s Lane, as well as the famous Lao Wang beansprout chicken. There are also numerous food options around, and it’s just across from Palo 101, a trendy spot popular with youngsters and a regular venue for New Year’s countdown celebrations. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish stay in Ipoh.

Location: The hotel is quite far from the city and food areas. If you plan to dine outside, you will need to drive about 20 km to Sri Manjung, where AEON Mall, restaurants, and a McDonald’s are located. The nearest petrol station is also in that area. Cleanliness: Excellent. Everything is clean and well maintained. Service: Top notch and very attentive. Especially during the breakfast buffet over the long weekend, the turnaround time was efficient and well managed. Facilities: As advertised and meet expectations. The Room very spacious for two person. The Makan Kitchen is currently being expanded. Overall: A very comfortable stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut.

The staff are competent although their behaviour is mostly that if someone who has only lived in small towns. You sleep experience will depend on which room you get. There's a huge water tank; when water is moving it's obviously noisy. I stayed in a room facing the road which is quiet at night.

We stayed at the highest floor of hotel, with view of the whole Taiping lake was really calming and wonderful. The room and toilet were clean. The location of the hotel is very convenient, with the mall downstairs and local eateries within walking distance. Will stay in this hotel if we need to come back to taiping.
