Convenient location to universities and train station or town amenities by car or walking. Unfortunately, there is no on-site parking, but you can get advice for where in the city to park.

Disappointing Stay – Would Strongly Advise Against Booking I traveled to Festus for a car show and needed a budget-friendly hotel near local amenities. While this property met that basic requirement, nearly every other aspect of my stay was a disappointment—and at times, unacceptable. To start, the hotel was unbearably hot inside. There was no functioning indoor air conditioning, and the common areas remained well above 80 degrees throughout my stay. Check-in was quick, but the front desk staff seemed unfamiliar with the facility—unable to even direct me to the pool, which I never located due to the complete lack of signage. The complimentary breakfast was, frankly, insulting. The food options were minimal and unappetizing—particularly the English muffins, which were so hard they could double as hockey pucks. The oppressive heat made it nearly impossible to sit and eat in the dining area anyway. My room, while clean, was far from comfortable. The mattress was extremely hard—comparable to sleeping on bare concrete—and the cramped toilet and shower area offered no room to move. Several cockroaches were spotted both in my room and in common areas, raising serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. While I understand the hotel is currently under construction and the staff I interacted with were courteous, that alone cannot excuse the overall experience. The current conditions are simply not acceptable for paying guests. I had high hopes for this location but left deeply disappointed. Unless you have absolutely no other options within your budget, or until after renovations are fully completed (well beyond 2025), I strongly advise against staying here. I will not be returning.

El hotel está situado en la calle desde el nuevo estadio de fútbol de la ciudad de St. Louis, a dos bloques de la zona de la estación de la Unión de la ciudad. La habitación era muy confortable, el baño estaba limpio y bastante bien almacenado. Y el lado de atrás sería el del refrigerador de la habitación. Vengo de lejos lo suficiente y con niños que necesitaba para congelar los paquetes de congeladores para snacks. El desayuno estaba bien cada mañana. Una mañana fue una elección de pavo, patatas de salsa o patatas de salsa de cerdo, mientras que el día siguiente fue una elección de las ligaduras de salsa de cerdo o de pollo. El descenso sería la falta de fabricante de waffles. No sé por qué eso hace una diferencia, porque no como realmente waffles. Pero mi niño ama waffles y ama hacerlos. Y en lugar de tener un fabricante de waffles, tenían una placa caliente llena de waffles congelados prefabricados que habían precalentado para todos. Oh, sí en mis fotos verás una foto de la leche de mi niño. No había expirado, pero la publicidad en ella estaba y me dio un gran miedo cuando la vi. Y dependiendo de los planes, y de lo que necesito estar cerca, si necesito estar, definitivamente quedarme aquí otra vez con mi familia. La zona era segura, limpia, y olvidé la parte más divertida ... Directamente por la calle del FBI. LOL 😂🚓🚔

This is the 3rd or 4th time we've stayed here (I say 3, wife says 4 😂) and this time was definitely our least favorite. We'll still try it again but the amenities weren't up to previous stays. I have booked the same style of room (1 King + Sofa Bed) every time, and we got that... But DANG was it tiny! There was literally 6-8 inches of walking room. The bathroom was overly spacious and the room could've used some of that. The breakfast was rough too. Previously there were waffle makers, oatmeal, and other great hot options. This stay had eggs 👍 and shredded cheese 👍. While I give props for including a meatless ”sausage”, the standard pork sausage was mislabeled. The waffle selection was mismanaged. They offered a ”waffle with pearl sugar”, which is fine bc we've had those at other places. BUT instead of leaving the waffles in their single serve pouches, the employee was standing there opening them and putting them in the service container. 1) that's unnecessary touching by the employee & slobs who don't know what tongs are. 2) if kept in its package THEY WON'T DRY OUT. Also 3) in its package it's a perfect food for the grab and go guests. Every single staff member we interacted with was AMAZING! The front desk, housekeeping, etc were all wonderful. We will be back, but definitely might need a different approach to the room.

Best place to stay in the Clayton/STL area if you are visiting WashU. Staff is A+. I have tried at least five other hotels, and since I stayed in January 2024, I constantly repeat when I visit the town. Breakfast is GREAT! This is not your typical breakfast ”INCLUDED!” Extremely clean! They are doing renovations, and you will be greatly surprised at how good it looks every time you go! Plenty of parking and safe! Stay here, you won't regret it!

La ubicación era buena. La habitación parecía estándar de limpio. El papel higiénico es ultra thin, y el jabón y el champú estaba muy ahí, así que dejé la habitación sentí sucio. La cama de sofá era tan subestándar que no dejaríamos que nuestros 12 años de edad dormir en ella. Las primaveras realmente se hunden en tu espalda. Todo parecía limpio, pero sentíamos tan barato que nos sentíamos barato quedarse allí. La máquina de café en la habitación estaba rota y no parecía valer el esfuerzo para quejarse de ella. La ex esposa se quejó de que el aire acondicionado junto a la cama estaba demasiado alto y se acercó y salía toda la noche que tenía problemas de dormir. La estación de waffles fue un golpe, aunque la comida de ovejas, como la jabón y el champú, era muy aquella. Ovos y salsa eran por encima de la media. No se cortaron pan, aunque ofrecían muffines y bagas inglesas. El personal era muy amable. La mejor parte de la estancia fue lo amigable que todos eran. Me hace sentir mal escribir el resto de la revisión. Probablemente evitaría el hotel en el futuro si hubiera mejores opciones. Es pasable, pero no cumple mis estándares y no parece valer el precio.

We had a great time staying at the hotel. The staff were welcoming, nice, and very helpful! When my daughter could not find the bus stop and missed a bus, the front lady helped her so calmly to get an Uber, so that she was able to be on time. We really appreciate her perfect judgment. The hotel is close from the Metro, and located right across the beautiful library and within the walking distance to the Arch and the Union Station.

I really only booked the room to have a place to sleep and shower for two nights, and the hotel got one of these right. The shower was a problem because, when the shower was turned on, water would gather on the ceiling and rain down. It was very unpleasant, so I skipped a shower on my second night, took a video of the problem, and shared my concern and the video with hotel staff when I checked out. Other than that, the room and common areas seemed to be mostly clean, although I cleaned things in the room that housekeeping clearly didn't get to (e.g., a sticky microwave knob). I also found the elevators intolerably hot. Yes, it was record heat outside, but I don't understand why the elevator cars weren't air conditioned like the rest of the hotel common areas. As for breakfast, it was okay for consumers of the standard American diet - I.e., high fat, high sugar - and, as a whole-food plant-based consumer, not terribly appealing. But, this is mid-America.

La casa de 1800 es un museo muy original, bien mantenido, muy limpio. En el hotel, el hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado. Cuando fuimos a la cocina por la mañana, no había comida allí. No hay huevos en la nevera. El melocotone cortado en las tiendas de contenedores en la nevera era como días de edad y se dejó con sólo unos pocos trozos allí. Había un poco de lettuce en un contenedor, pero era viejo con color rojo/marrón. He encontrado una taza de yogur, pero expiró en 4/7. Aunque nos disfrutamos de la casa y la experiencia histórica, pero no vimos el valor del dinero que pagamos.
