El hotel está a unos 10 minutos a pie de la estación de Nagano, lo cual es bastante conveniente. Las habitaciones del hotel son limpias e higiénicas y el espacio es relativamente grande. Hay un autobús al templo Zenkoji en la puerta. conveniente Lo mejor es que el restaurante de la azotea tiene vista a los Alpes del Norte. El paisaje es hermoso y disfrutar de la vista pintoresca mientras desayuna es una ventaja definitiva.

La ubicación es excelente en el corazón de la ciudad y en el opuesto de la estación. La habitación es tranquila por diseño, no puede abrir dos maletas al mismo tiempo. Está bien para una estancia corta pero no para una estancia larga. No es realmente un hotel para relajarse debido a un espacio estrecho en la habitación.

Después de pasar una semana en Yokohama, Japón, durante el Año Nuevo chino, decidimos ir a Yudanaka, Nagano, para disfrutar de las aguas termales y ver a los famosos monos del onsen. Para ello, elegimos alojarnos en Kanaguya. Durante el día, Kanaguya no destaca en el pueblo de Yudanaka; parece un lugar bastante normal. Sin embargo, por la noche, se transforma por completo. Se rumorea en internet que fue la inspiración para la casa de baños de ”El viaje de Chihiro”, y la verdad es que encaja a la perfección. Se cuenta que este ryokan tiene más de 250 años de antigüedad y está construido íntegramente en madera. Su interior es un laberinto de pasillos, escaleras y rincones, lleno de encanto y sorpresas. Alberga varias piscinas termales propias, pero lo más destacado es el onsen exterior de la azotea. ¡Qué experiencia tan sublime y embriagadora es sentir la nieve caer copiosamente mientras te relajas en sus cálidas aguas! El ryokan te proporciona una ficha con la que puedes acceder a cualquiera de las piscinas termales del pueblo; ¡hay tantas opciones que te sentirás abrumado/a! La experiencia de pasear por las calles con tu albornoz y zuecos de madera (geta) te transporta a otra época. Este paisaje, esta atmósfera, este estado de ánimo... ¿no es acaso como un cuento de hadas que cobra vida? Yudanaka es una visita obligada, alojarse en Kanaguya es imprescindible, y ver a los monos en el onsen es algo que no te puedes perder.

📍 Hotel Keigetsu 信州昼神温泉郷 日長庵 桂月 @ Hirugami Onsen, Nagano 🇯🇵 We stayed 3D2N from 13 November 2025 at Hotel Keigetsu (日長庵 桂月), and it turned out to be one of the best choices for our Nakasendo trip. The ryokan sits in a peaceful corner of Hirugami Onsen, surrounded by nature and traditional Japanese charm. There is a designated parking area exclusively for guests, accommodating around 15-20 cars of all sizes, making it very convenient for self-drive travellers. We chose a Japanese-style room with a private bathroom, and the highlight was the beautiful wooden bathtub — perfect for a relaxing soak in complete privacy. In the mornings, the view from our room was calm and peaceful, with gentle bird chirping adding to the serene atmosphere. Our stay included breakfast and dinner, and both meals were exceptional. Each dish was beautifully prepared using seasonal ingredients, and the servers were patient and friendly, taking time to explain each course and share stories about local flavours. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced the dining experience. The ryokan is within walking distance to the Morning Market, just about 10 minutes away, making it an enjoyable little morning stroll. There is also a FamilyMart right beside the ryokan, just a short walk away — extremely convenient for drinks, snacks, or last-minute essentials during your stay. The staff also introduced several nearby activities and hiking trails, and the routes are super visitor-friendly, making this ryokan an ideal base for exploring the Nakasendo area. The onsen baths were another highlight — soothing, clean, and filled with Hirugami’s famously smooth, skin-friendly hot spring water. Perfect for unwinding every evening. Overall, Hotel Keigetsu offers excellent food, warm service, relaxing onsen, comfortable rooms, and unbeatable convenience, whether you’re here for onsen relaxation or the Nakasendo trail. Highly recommended for a peaceful, authentic, and memorable ryokan stay in Nagano. ♨️🍁🌿✨

La habitación era espaciosa y la ubicación excelente, a solo tres minutos a pie de la estación. Había supermercados y tiendas de conveniencia cerca de la estación, y muchos restaurantes en los alrededores. Las comodidades eran variadas y útiles, y el desayuno era abundante. ¡Sin duda me alojaría aquí de nuevo!

The room was very large and comfortable. What made the place great was the ping pong table, mini pool table. Once you understand the onsen process it is pretty easy. Note: restaurant is by reservation only. Dinner snow crab dinner is worth the price. Open bar. Also cash only needed do the hotel tax due at arrival.

White Hotel Grand Hakuba is located up in the mountains, about a 30-minute drive from the main town area (Hakuba Station / Happo Bus Terminal). This is perfect for those who, like me, prefer a peaceful and more secluded environment. The hotel provides a daily shuttle service between the hotel, Hakuba Station, and Lion Café, which is conveniently located next to Happo Bus Terminal. There’s no need to worry about being “stuck” in the mountains—just remember to reserve your shuttle seats in advance. The room interiors and the surrounding scenery are beautiful—words can’t fully describe it; it’s something you really have to experience for yourself. One of the biggest highlights is the ski-in, ski-out convenience. You can start skiing or snowboarding right outside the hotel. I chose this location mainly for its easy access to snowboarding, as we were beginners and wanted a less crowded place to learn. The view from the top of the slope was magnificent—you could even see the lake. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and warm. There are several English-speaking staff members, both Japanese and non-Japanese, which made communication easy. We had both breakfast and dinner at the in-house restaurant, and the meals were good and satisfying. The onsen is free to use in the morning. In the evening, it is available for private use at an additional charge, which I felt was well worth it. Overall, I would definitely come back again. Highly recommended.

Hotel Marroad is just a few minutes by the shuttle bus from the station , and it can also be reached on foot. We booked a room for 4 people and the room size is good at a very reasonable price (include breakfast). The fixtures are a bit old. However, the room and the amenities are very clean. We come to skiing and the hotel has a rental service (much cheaper than you rent at the ski field) which is very convenient. Also, they send us to ski field every day. Staff can speak little English, but they are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, and it is a must try.

La ubicación del hotel fue muy buena especialmente si quieres hacer parque de monos de nieve y el santuario Togakushi. El alojamiento no es muy malo y el desayuno bufé no es demasiado malo. Estar a la puerta de Don Quijte es muy conveniente si quieres comprar.
