The room was good and tidy. But the bathroom was poor, the bathtub had stains, water pressure was very low, you will struggle to get water from the shower head if held above knee height. Bathroom window strangely set denying privacy. The room was sizable and tidy. The fridge was loud and I had to switch it off at night. The location is great near the embassies and walkable tourist sites nearby. Very helpful staff.

Por correos electrónicos anteriores, tuve una muy buena experiencia. El personal fue amable y servicial. Agradecí especialmente la hospitalidad de Ukesh en recepción. La habitación también era increíblemente cómoda. El jabón y la pasta de dientes ayurvédicos también eran excelentes. Fue una estancia de 5 estrellas que superó mis expectativas. Me gustaría volver si tengo la oportunidad. Si fuera un poco goloso, me habría gustado ver más platos nepaleses en el desayuno buffet.

El hotel es nuevo, muy bonito y el personal muy amable. Habitación grande, bella, moderna y la cama muy cómoda. Encontramos muy limpia la habitación, todo perfecto. Para estadías largas es un poco incómodo que no hay closets para guardar la ropa por lo que debimos dejarla en la maleta, al igual que no hay nada donde colgar las toallas. Te las dejan limpias en una cesta, y cuando se usan  no hay donde ponerlas.  El desayuno es muy bueno, tipo buffet, y el personal muy amable. El restaurante es chino y está abierto 24 horas lo que es fantástico!! La comida deliciosa y los precios muy buenos.  Sin duda volvería a este hotel!!!

La señora de recepción fue muy amable y profesional. Como necesitaba imprimir documentos cuando me iba a otro país, la ayudé durante mucho tiempo. Quería darle una propina, pero ella salió del trabajo temprano en la mañana. y nos fuimos, al final no la volvimos a ver.

The hotel staff is very courteous and the food at the hotel is delicious. It's located very close to Lord Pashupatinath temple, hardly 5 minutes walking distance. Very close to the airport as well.

On this special day, I chose to check in at Shanker hotel. The warm service,delicious food and quality environment,everything is so good. The hotel prepares decorations and cake very thoughtfully, surprised us. Due to the late arrival time, the hotel also thoughtfully provided me with dinner order so that could enjoy it when we arrived. Finally the food upexpectedly delicious. I recommend you to choose Shanker hotel. Wherever it’s a vacation or celebration it is best choice.

Best hotel in Kathmandu by far! Great location in central Thamel, friendly and helpful staff always with a smile on their faces, and a great buffet breakfast! Couldn’t recommend enough!!

The skyline restaurant is the best at sunset in this hotel. They have a transparent glass floor to watch everything under your feet. Many locals also get dressed up and come here to enjoy the million-dollar-worthy sight. You can also enjoy the buffet breakfast at the same restaurant if staying here. I used the swimming pool and sauna on 9 floor. The staff there are very attentive and friendly. Feel like a queen being there! The room is super clean and smell nice! I am amazed by the A.C. System. Believe me that’s very rare to find in Kathmandu! All is very good from the beginning of check-in and till the end. They have free drop-off transportation to airport. So I would highly recommend to book the last nights in Nepal and enjoy a relaxing evening of here!

Average Experience with Clean Room, Could Improve Guest Service I recently stayed at this hotel for a brief getaway, and my overall experience was average. The highlight of my stay was the cleanliness of the room. Upon entering, I was pleased to find a well-maintained and spotless environment, which contributed significantly to my comfort during the stay. Despite these shortcomings in guest service, the hotel's amenities and facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped, providing a good night's rest.

Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve. Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all. The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great. 2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges. Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience. Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days. Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern. Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager. A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.
