The location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around. In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two. This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby. We had to pay £5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didn’t use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed. In terms of things that could do with improvement: Cleanliness The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Year’s Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection. The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadn’t had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus. Service Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way. Facilities The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side. There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub. Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered. Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.

Location is great. Our room was small and in need of a refurbishment, especially the bathroom. It was tired and dated. The breakfast is basic but well replenished. The staff are friendly. Would not stay again unless in a premium room.

Este es un hotel histórico que cobra tan solo £ 41 por noche para 2 personas. Estas personas que se quejan necesitan una vida, dejen de tomar fotos de una mosca en la pared, controlen que es una cama para dormir al final del día, si quieres el Lowry, ve y paga los precios Lowry. Esta piscina también es mejor que el RADDISON, al lado del aeropuerto, si vas de vacaciones es ideal, o incluso si vas a Manchester, el transporte público, trenes, autobuses, también son fáciles de llegar. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and our choice was primarily due to its convenient location and excellent breakfast. It is very close to the airport and very quiet at night, surrounded by farms and grassland. We love the breakfast because it is not a typical buffet. Instead, you can choose from a menu with a great variety of options, all of which taste wonderful. The restaurant's decoration is also lovely, and you will be more than satisfied with the portions. The restaurant staff are passionate, friendly, and helpful. One point to note is that the reception area often has guests around, which is just an observation and neither positive nor negative. The receptionists always do their best and are very nice and professional. However, the room design is a bit outdated.

Brilliant location, lovely old building. The fold out beds for kids are uncomfortable (worse than the ones at travel lodge or premmier inn). Don't bother with breakfast! Kept running out of things and didn't always replace them. Bacon inedible, sausages cheap, no nlack pudding even though it's on the menu and small portions. I would stay again but wouldn't add breakfast

First time taking grandson to Chester with an over night stay. First impression of Hotel including location was excellent and I have only one negative from our stay which was reported to reception on checking out. There is a big problem in the hotel with bedroom doors slamming shut noisily every time someone enters or leaves a room as they have no dampening which spoilt our evening and night in our room. The rest of the hotel was excellent with a good swimming pool and restaurant. The breakfast can only be described as superb with our grandson thoroughly enjoying it. The location including the car parking was ideal for walking round Chester City Centre with a 100 yd walk to the main streets and the Levels. Overall, I would recommend the hotel for a City Break and would easily qualify for 5 stars if they could put some dampening device / closing spring on the bedroom doors.

I took my wife here for her 60th, amazing staff receptionist charlotte was warm and knowledgable, very kind giving us a token due to birthday. The infinity pool is amazing warm clean, Shrigley would make much more money if they served drinks while in the pool, but we would still be there now. The rooms are adiquate they are clean, the shower's are amazing, Dinning for evenning meal again was excellent, the service is 11/10 and I have been in a number of Spa the meal cost were really well priced with excellent food. Breakfast in the morning self service again pleanty to choose from and again tasty with great choice. It is a amazing spa with the ability toplay gold or have a number of treatments, and well priced, I will return there

This stay was really nice but to pay for spa was disappointing I was only there one night as my husband was in hospital close by so ended up paying 40 for spa in night and in morning and there where lots of people with club membership so wasn’t that relaxing as I was staying at hotel to relax I wouldn’t return the staff where really nice so if you don’t want a spa to relax I would recommend

Me quedé bien con mi novia en The Tytherington. La única cosa que no nos alegraba fue la comida. Nos encantaría dar la orden en el momento oportuno, pero alguien que se sirvió después de nosotros no podía hacerlo. El personal detrás del conteo parecía inexperiente, con sólo uno o dos que sabían qué hacer, aunque ya tenían demasiado que hacer y no podían ayudar. La vista desde su jardín fue grande, sobre su campo de golf.

El hotel es un hotel muy agradable y está muy bien situado, pero la habitación era muy decepcionante por el precio, una de las sillas estaba muy dañada y las otras rocas de color marrón en el material. La habitación que reservamos no parecía nada de las imágenes en la publicidad y tuve que comprobar con la recepción que teníamos la habitación correcta. Por 330 libras por noche no me siento como si tuviéramos una habitación de primas, pero el personal era hermoso y muy bienvenido.
