La ubicación es excelente. Nuestra habitación es muy agradable, con botellas de agua gratis y albornoz. Nuestra habitación tiene vistas a la playa de Newtown. Se necesita un pase para la playa, que está a solo 5 minutos a pie. La playa de Newtown y sus servicios son geniales, con una temática bohemia.
Hay varias tiendas de conveniencia en los alrededores. El personal es amable y servicial. El desayuno es excelente. Gracias al personal del comedor, Mico, quien nos regaló un pastel de aniversario durante el desayuno. La ubicación está cerca de nuestro lugar de culto.
No nos proporcionaron una toalla de baño y la pequeña está muy desgastada y no nos dieron loción. Cuando llegamos después de nuestro viaje, el hotel cambió su nombre a Mercure, quizás por eso, porque tiene el nombre de Belmont en las toallas.
En general, disfrutamos de nuestra estancia y recomendamos el hotel.

Sin embargo, hay que caminar un poco. Se tarda unos 4 minutos en tuk-tuk desde el aeropuerto.
Alona también está a poca distancia.

Antigua. Se supone que el aire acondicionado se enciende al cerrar la puerta corrediza de la piscina, pero no lo reconoció correctamente, así que cerré la puerta varias veces.
Me alojé en un hotel de media noche para un vuelo nocturno. Me alojé allí dos veces en este viaje.
En ambas ocasiones, no había toallas de ducha en la habitación. Jajaja.
El primer día, llegué a las 2 o 3 de la madrugada y no pude ducharme, así que simplemente dormí.
A la vuelta, me quedé una noche y, aunque hice el check-in durante el día, no había toallas de ducha.
Había una lavandería al final del pasillo, así que fui a preguntar, pero me dijeron que estaban secando y que no tenían toallas.
Me pidieron el número de mi habitación y prometieron traerlas cuando terminaran.
Esto se repitió dos veces.
En el tercer viaje, me dieron una toalla de piscina y la usé como toalla de ducha.
Me pregunto por qué no proporcionan toallas en la habitación.
Si no había toallas en ambas estancias, es un problema grave de limpieza.
Si no hay toallas después del check-in, deberían haberlas pedido inmediatamente.
Sin embargo, la razón por la que me quedé dos veces fue simplemente por la piscina.

En general es un buen hotel, desayuno y espacio para 3 personas, el salón y el restaurante de desayuno son hermosos. La ubicación es excelente, a 15 minutos del puerto, 40 minutos del aeropuerto.

We had a really pleasant stay at this place. The unit was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and it matched the listing description well. The amenities were a nice touch and made the stay more enjoyable. The location was also convenient and easy to access.
The host was responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Overall, it was a smooth and comfortable experience. We’d definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to others looking for a relaxing place to stay.

Staffs are accomodating,they let us check in earlier,the room was big with a very nice view , near to all food establishment,breakfast buffet was good , near to mactan beach ,there's a free transpo going to the beach or you can walk since it's very near,which we did .i will definitely recommend this hotel and i will comeback for sure.

I spent most of my time in Cebu at the hotel because the facilities were amazing, and the hotel has private beach access. It's pretty far from Cebu City, but the staff are incredible. Highly recommend a stay here if you're looking for a resort vibe.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is extremely convenient, as it is close to the airport, which makes it perfect for travelers with early or late flights.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bed was cozy, and the room had all the basic amenities I needed for a short stay. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, which I really appreciated.
The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. They assisted me quickly with check-in and were always willing to help with any questions. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel offers great value for money. Considering the location, service, and comfort, the price was very reasonable. The airport shuttle service was also very convenient and saved a lot of time.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and airport-friendly place to stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Un espacio fantástico para una familia. Personal amable y muy atento. El hotel estuvo bien, pero necesitan poner utensilios y cubiertos en la cocina, ya que no había nada cuando nos alojamos, pero lo solicitamos en recepción y nos los proporcionaron. Sin duda, me gustaría volver. Gracias.

La estancia fue regular en general. La ducha con agua caliente no funcionaba y el aire acondicionado goteaba bastante, lo cual era un inconveniente. Sin embargo, el personal fue muy atento y se ofreció rápidamente a cambiarme de habitación, lo cual agradecí mucho. Su actitud servicial mejoró la experiencia a pesar de los problemas de mantenimiento.

We had a truly amazing stay, thank you to all the staff, your hospitality/kindness/smiley faces were amazing 👍 The Resort was small and cute,& right on the beach/sea & the attention to detail for all the guests was brilliant.. The rooms were spacious, very clean with all the amenities, including a mini bar. Our introduction to the Scuba Diving course was brilliant, and I would tell anyone who wants to do Scuba Diving for the 1st time to go to this resort. Donde the Dive instructor was brilliant, very efficient & conscious re health/safety, BUT had the best personality to make you feel at ease. Any nerves we may have had in the swimming pool, @ our introduction, were all gone when we were sitting on the Sea Bed watching a Sea Turtle sleep 😂 I never thought at the start of the day, we would end the day having done two amazing Dives, We will definitely be back to do another Dive the ” next” step with Donde👍The Food was also amazing, my husband enjoyed the fresh Tuna tapa👍 Lots of variety, and very well priced including the Vino👍 The Breakfast was the best of all the resorts we've stayed in the Philipines, & that is normally the negative in any of my reviews😂 Thankyou to all the staff we look forward to seeing you all again soon. Keep your smiley faces👍

What didn't you like:
A small selection of paid breakfast. There is no buffet and you need to choose from the menu. But you can only choose 1 dish and drink for each one. In other words, don't expect to try even a couple of dishes for prepaid money. Here you can choose only 1 dish for breakfast. The rest is paid. It became clear only on the 3rd day of the stay, as they could not understand how the breakfast system worked.
We were charged 390 Philippine pesos for SPAM (or rather, three slices of local ham). It's expensive for this kind and quantity of food.
•On the last day, the cost of paying for a fruit plate increased. It was 350 pesos, it became 400.
•When ordering tom yam, we asked for additional shrimp (+250 pesos). We were served soup with 7 shrimp halves. We still haven't figured out how many shrimps there would have been without the extra ones we paid for. 🙈We thought they forgot to add additional ones. Then we saw the bill and additional shrimps were deposited.
•Few seafood dishes. Considering that you are 50 meters from the sea. There are also few products with vegetables. We suffered because of this. There was no light food.
•The leaves in each salad were stale.
•Service fees were from everything. We understand when the service fee is for food, but we still don't understand why the fee was for a massage. That is, the fee for the massage + the service FEE for the massage.
•There were also fees for filming shark swimming on our phone. We also did not understand why the fee, if the tour itself cost 7,500 pesos + 300 pesos was a service fee (again, we do not understand why it is not included in the total cost of the tour) + 260 pesos for shooting on the phone;
I was disappointed that when booking an excursion to swim with sharks for 7,500 pesos, fishing was included, but no one offered it to us. They just took us, we swam and brought it back. They say the tour took 5 hours, but it was two and a half hours.
•Hand soap has not been refilled in two days;
• The automatic circulation of water in the pool was rarely turned on, so we swam with flies for two days... trying to catch them from there;
•The performers were an hour late for the first tour, and 30 minutes late for the second. We don't understand why our time wasn't respected.
• One shower wasn't working. There was no water coming out of it;
• Often they didn't bring half of the dish. That is, if you ordered a meat plate with grapes, cheese and crackers, be prepared that I may not bring you crackers, but there will be 3 pieces of cheese. That's for 590 pesos. We ordered this plate twice, and two times we didn't get any crackers. The second time we asked and they informed us. Also, when ordering mashed potatoes with chicken, they brought us chicken without mashed potatoes. We asked and were informed. Everything was already cold. They didn't add a banana to the banana pancakes.
Unfortunately, curtains are not blackout, for those who cannot sleep without them, bring a sleep mask.
I write absolutely all the little things, as I am very careful about the service. I really liked this hotel. In any case, I recommend it wholeheartedly. After all, they communicate politely with you here, there are gorgeous views from a spacious room, and there is a large swimming pool. But I have to write down the little things so that the management can improve the quality of service so that staying at this hotel leaves only positive emotions for absolutely everyone! After all, the hotel is really beautiful!

Best things about the hotel: Hands down the Staff (the Staff make this resort special), Private beach, Range of activities available (we really liked that you can rent all the gear at the resort for pretty cheap; they had nice fins!), We really enjoyed the dinner at one of the Peruvian restaurants in the resort.
Things we didn't like: Not much at all! The location is a bit far from the main Mactan Newtown area, and need to catch a cab; however, that can be seen as a positive as well! Just a tip if you are expecting to be able to walk outside the resort; there's not much outside within walking distance.
Highly recommended!

Kkissa2005В данный отель мы приехали уже под вечер, т. к . до этого был очень сложный маршрут с о. Корон-Себу- о. Палаван. До отеля добирались самостоятельно на трицикле. Нас встретили очень приятные сотрудники отеля и очень быстро заселили, т.к. мы были очень уставшие. После заселения мы обратились к администратору с просьбой подсказать нам где сейчас можно покушать, и мы очень приятно были удивлены тем , что она предложила отвезти нас на их трансфере до ресторана который держит итальянец, и подождать нас там пока мы поужинаем настоящей итальянской пиццей из печи, чтобы отвезти нас обратно, т.к. на тот момент у нас не было еще никакой связи. На следующее утро нам приготовили вкуснейший завтрак (в отеле есть меню на завтраки по выбору 4-х европейских и около 4 -х филиппинских с 8:00 до 10:00) порции очень большие. После завтрака мы обратили внимание, что других гостей отеля нет, мы уточнили и оказалось что мы были единственные,т. к. за день до нашего приезда прошел тайфун и паромы из Себу были отменены. По этому мы провели 5 незабываемых дней в данном отеле вдвоем с супругом. Также в отеле мы взяли в аренду хонду клик за 500 песо в сутки и катались по достопримечательностям острова Палаван и Бохоль. На все наши просьбы персонал реагировал достаточно быстро, были небольшие проблемы с WI-FI, он отказывался работать в номере, но при этом выходя за порог номера связь была прекрасная. Данная проблема была оперативно решена. Номер уютный , есть кондиционер и большой вентилятор на потолке, холодильник, чай, кофе и минибар с прохладительными напитками и пивом.В ванной комнате присутствуют одноразовые наборы с щеткой и пастой, шампунь, гель для душа, фен. На территории отеля есть красивый бассейн, украшенный по периметру цветущими банановыми пальмами, а также идеальным зеленым газоном по которому очень приятно ходить . Также при отъезде мы попросили собрать нам ланч боксы. И каково было мое удивление, когда на пароме, мы открыли наши аккуратно упакованные боксы, там был полноценный завтрак, такой же как нам и готовили, спасибо это было очень приятно и вкусно. При переписке с отелем , также было все оперативно, отвечали быстро.Хочется выразить огромную благодарность хозяину отеля за отличный сервис в данном отеле, а также всему персоналу с которым мы взаимодействовали. Я провела 5 незабываемых дней в вашем чудесном отеле.

BBeverly J. BeverleyWe love Nustar so much! This is probably our 5th time here! Stayed here from Nov 5 to 7 as it’s Mine and my bros bday and it was after Typhoon Tino. As always they are very accomodating, friendly and helpful and gave me a piece of cake and fruit bowl but this time I ask for a happy birthday note on the monitor for background pic for me & entire family as celebration but they keep telling me they will send someone up but no one really came from the IT department . I did expect a happy birthday greeting on the monitor it would have been very special, but I understand as maybe they are so busy and under staff because of the typhoon and instead of 2 pm check and we were able to check in very late like 5:30 pm because they’re probably under staffs but all of these did not ruin our overall stay as new star staffs are all very welcoming. We had birthday dinner in the good luck hotpot which is just inside Nustar as well. Thank you Nustar for being very welcoming , friendly and hand on chest when Greeting guest is such a Nustar trademark  please trade me a guest feel welcome and at home

BBubbleChimpGood for experienced divers but not for new divers, solo travellers, relaxing beach time or a deluxe experience even though it was £200+ a night so I did not think it was good value.
For me it was just the wrong choice and I didn't do enough research. The main disappointment comes down to me basing my expectations on the price instead of the 3 star rating. I haven't paid that much for a hotel before and usually go for 4 or 5 star places so I just don't understand the pricing, maybe that's just how it is in the Philippines. The staff and service are good, breakfast and the room are ok, spa and diving are the good amenities so it might be the diving location which warrants the price.
Lunch and dinner are good. I recommend the honey yoghurt muesli with mango and the chicken salad (with a dressing) for breakfast. Everything I had on the lunch/dinner menu was great - the tom kha gai soup, Dorado, burger, curry etc all good. Small range of beers and cocktails available but cocktails were good too.
The room and bathroom are fine for 3 star standards. There is termite stuff falling from the wood beams and dead moths or similar insects on shelves which did not get cleaned away.
The Swedish massage was good, I recommend Gail. The shiatsu was painful and pinched my skin so she switched to Swedish. The pool is murky and not enticing to swim in, lots of mozzies around it too.
I much preferred the beach and water conditions further down at Dauin. I like to relax on a nice beach and swim etc. that's where the great snorkeling is too. But the water at Atlantis is too rough and windy and the beach too narrow.
Although the dive masters are great for leading dives and probably for the other diving skills, I wouldn't recommend getting your open water certificate here especially if you're at all nervous about it. There were some differences with the SSI videos like being able to practise boat entry in the pool first and using a snorkel that I would have preferred what with the condition of the water there. The beach, water and entry conditions are so much better 20-30min down the beach at Dauin, Bongo Bongo beach. I managed to earn my open water and it was the reason for this trip but it wasn't a pleasant experience and I watched the divers enter at Dauin quite jealously.
Considering you can do 4-5 dives a day here plus a day for Apo island, I think 3-4 days here would be perfect.
The hotel tour prices were a bit more expensive than others I found and they do not arrange joiner tours so as a solo traveller, their tours were prohibitively expensive. For some reason there were no joiner tours available outside the hotel either, I don't know if that's because of the season (jan-feb) or that's usual for the Philippines but it's the first time I've experienced that in my travels.
The tour to Apo Island is good and well arranged. The only thing is as a snorkeler you have to wait until after lunch to get to the shallow turtle area but it was great and a benefit of going with the hotel is you leave on their boat right from the hotel, no need to drive to the ferry.

Nos lo pasamos muy bien en el bar de la piscina durante la hora feliz y pasamos todo el tiempo en el resort. A los restaurantes les vendrían bien opciones un poco más saludables y el desayuno con opciones más vegetarianas (ni siquiera había una barra de yogur o granola natural, y había más opciones poco saludables).
Si sales del complejo, ¡entras directamente en una calle llena de bares y restaurantes! El gimnasio estaba muy bien equipado y las habitaciones eran buenas. Por favor mejoren las cortinas, ya que no oscurecían la habitación.

Light snacks with a limited selection of savory and sweet bites, they need to improve on this.

Excellent food buffet. I like the lechon quesadillas, jalapeño cheese poppers, and siomai. I appreciate the bartender crafting cocktails from a menu of drinks.
I understand the hotel is still brand new, but they need to do multiple inspections before releasing the room to guest. Vanity mirror was dusty from construction.
The Butler service was very attentive, many thanks to Ice (Butler) for making my stay pleasant, he would escort me to the pool, and even breakfast buffet at Fili Hotel bypassing the crowd at the entrance.
Breakfast Buffet is at Fili Hotel which is extensive and one of the best in Cebu. The problem is the crowd, while Nustar Butlers will escort Nustar guests to a table, there’s no dedicated tables for Nustar guests, which confuses the restaurant staff with seating assignments. Alternatively, the breakfast buffet at the executive club lounge is quiet but with limited options, they should have an a la carte menu to expand options like other international luxury hotels.
The security at the lobby entrance is wildly inconvenient and inconsistent, every time you enter you need to prove you’re a guest of Nustar and not a guest of Fili or a casino player. It’s weird that they are sometimes overly strict and many times just ignore people passing by. Guests have a keycard to use elevators what’s the point of the guards that have a list of people’s names and room numbers, if anything that’s a security risk.
The pool service is lacking. Shared between 2 hotels and the upcoming grand summit. The pool area lacks service of a 5-star hotel, towels need to be claimed at a towel hut. My expectation is that there are staff that will setup loungers with towels for guests. And since the pool facility is shared with the muncher large Fili Hotel it can get crowded. Fortunately, Nustar has a private infinity pool which was closed my stay.
Nustar Resort has potential to be Cebu’s most luxurious hotel, they have the hard product with their spacious luxurious rooms, but they need to improve their soft product - the service from the butlers are outstanding and personal, but everyone else seems to be lost. For the asking price of 250-300 usd per night there’s a lot to expect.
Nustar is primed for excellence but falls just short of achieving refined luxury. I’m hoping Nustar partners with Marriott and rebrand under Luxury Collection. Or even Hyatt with Unbound Collection.
