I really enjoyed my stay here, it was very convenient and also very cheap. I am quite enraptured by this hotel. There were also a lot of amenities like automatic curtain, gym available, delivery to the room, etc.

View from the hotel is spectacular. Location is just perfect that sou Cheng li is just right across, and wanda plaza is connected underground. Staff was so kind as well. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay experience. A hotel brand stands true for its reputation. My request for early check in was considered without any hassle. Was pleasantly surprised especially after a long journey. Could not use other services such as spa, gym etc. breakfast varied and really delicious ! Loved the design of room balcony and the view very much ! In room dining was quick and pleasant.

My recent stay at the Grand Barony Qingdao Airport Hotel in a Deluxe Queen Room was a well-rounded and positive experience, particularly suited to travelers seeking convenience, comfort, and efficiency near the airport.
One of the hotel’s strongest advantages is its location. Being situated close to Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport makes it an ideal choice for transit passengers or those with early departures or late arrivals. The transfer process was straightforward, and the proximity significantly reduced travel-related stress.
The Deluxe Queen Room itself was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was comfortable, and the room was well-maintained, with clean linens, a tidy bathroom, and adequate amenities. The layout felt functional rather than overly luxurious, but it delivered exactly what one would expect from an airport hotel in this category. Sound insulation was reasonably effective; despite the airport location, noise levels were minimal and did not disrupt rest.
Service throughout the stay was professional and efficient, with a level of attentiveness that stood out in the smaller details. In particular, the duty manager, Ali, made a strong impression through his proactive hospitality. As a welcome gesture, he personally brought a selection of local Shandong and Qingdao soft drinks to my room, which was a thoughtful and culturally considerate touch. This small act added a personal dimension to the stay and reflected a genuine commitment to guest experience beyond standard service expectations.
Facilities appeared comprehensive, though my stay was brief and primarily focused on rest rather than exploring all offerings. The lobby and common areas were well presented, creating a calm and organised first impression. Dining options were convenient, and while not exceptional, they were satisfactory in quality and variety for a short stay.
In terms of value, the hotel performs strongly. It delivers reliability, cleanliness, and comfort without unnecessary extravagance. For travelers prioritising practicality, convenience, and a good night’s sleep before or after a flight, it is a solid choice.

We really loved our two night stay here. We slept very well for our hike to Taishan. Walking distance to Hongmen gate was convenient. Room is equipped with modern amenities, nicely designed (good natural light, privacy, and air-flow), comfortable bedding, and roof deck is a bonus! Very hearty wonton soup breakfast. Very accommodating host—we used our translator app so communication was no problem! Highly recommend!

Tuvimos una estancia muy agradable en el Hotel Shangri-La de Qingdao. La habitación era espaciosa, limpia y cómoda, con una cama muy cómoda que nos hizo sentir muy bien descansados durante todo el viaje. This hotel was tea amazing. We booked a night for an 18hour layover and found the place to be very comfortable and friendly. Food was reasonably priced, airport transfers were included and the service from the staff was amazing.
We left some personal items in the room by accident and the hotel staff went above and beyond to get them back to us.
Highly recommend.

El viejo hotel estrella. Las instalaciones no son nuevas, pero hay que tener algunas, hay baño de piscinas y fitness. El baño está bien, está cansado de volver a casa un día para hacer un buen chico. El estacionamiento es muy grande. La recepción y el servidor de la habitación tienen que hacerlo. Tenemos necesidades de oficinas temporales. El servicio de la habitación nos ha traído la red solo. The hotel is pretty and I booked it for 1 night as a luxury treat so I could get a good rest for my layover stop to another destination. My room smelt like stale smoke unfortunately, though I had asked for non-smoking. I paid extra on my booking for breakfast and had to wake up at 6am, eat breakfast at 6.30am and go to the airport at 7.20am. My room had a bathtub so I took a bath before bedtime and went to bed at midnight, I got up to go switch the lamp off at 1am and found this bug crawling up the side of my bed going towards me. I think it's either a tick or a bed bug, the body was full of blood. It had 6 or 8 legs, difficult to see but I took a video which doesn't allow me to upload. I don't have any problems with normal bugs such as spiders, but if it is a tick or bedbug it is a big problem. I was really worried there were more hiding inside the bed, I called reception for help and they looked at the bug which I caught in a glass cup. They apologised deeply and changed my room, so I had to move at 1.30am. I explained I was already tired and have to wake up early. In the new room I was unable to sleep as I kept worrying about bed bugs. I got up multiple times to check my bed. And there was a noisy couple next door talking loudly until very late so I couldn't sleep. For a luxury hotel you should not need to loose a whole night's sleep because you are worried about bedbugs or ticks biting you. Nor should be able to hear noise from other guests through the wall. I was extremely exhausted the next day and did not have any appetite. I asked if they could refund the extra I paid for breakfast because I couldn't eat it, but they said it wasn't possible. So I forced myself to try eat 1 egg and some small rice porridge but couldn't finish it. Really expensive to pay for breakfast and hardly eat, it's a shame they couldn't refund the breakfast considering I had no sleep. For a 5* hotel, I would like to have good rest and peaceful sleep. But it was not like that. The staff were very kind and helpful, but it's not so easy to travel here alone. It was not easy to book a taxi for the following morning to the airport and it took 40 minutes of assistance, the man was very kind and helpful, but the hotel should make an easier system for foreign guests to book taxi. When I first arrived in Jinan airport, I had no idea how to get to the hotel. There is no ATM inside the hotel so you cannot withdraw cash, and you cannot pay with foreign card to book a taxi. The shangri-la website did not provide any details for public transport. It simply said bus transfer was available but did not say which number bus. I would give the details here but I have forgotten the route name and bus number now as it was hectic and I was very tired, sorry. I had to waste a lot of time trying to ask for help at the airport as the staff did not speak English. Luckily someone helped me. The bus will cost 20yuan and take you into the centre where you will see the intercontinental hotel and a large shopping mall on the left side of the bus, get off at that stop, it takes 1 hour. From there it's only 5 minutes walk to shangri-la. For a big hotel they should provide easy instructions on the website to guests.
The staff apologised deeply for the bug on the bed, and offered 10% reduction of the room rate. Although when I checked out no refund was given and they didn't mention anything about it, I think they just charged full price. Personally I think 10% is not enough anyway. Nobody wants to change rooms at 1.30am because of bugs crawling on the bed. I didn't get any sleep at all and felt itchy because I kept thinking about bugs and couldn't eat the breakfast. I was absolutely exhausted the following day so I was unable to do anything at my next destination and had to waste 1 day more to rest. Unfortunately not an easy experience at the shangri-la.

早餐：出乎意料，不愧是老牌五星，早餐是按照正兒八經的五星標準出，手工鮁魚水餃超美味！
wifi：網絡很順暢，不卡頓。
床：床品舒服，床墊睡着很舒適。
位置: 地理位置優越，離金海灣棧橋很近。
停車：免費停車，停車位足夠。
服務：辦理入住流程順暢，服務耐心貼心，細節做的很到位，是一次很安心的入住，推薦大家選擇。因為此次是家庭旅遊，我們到房間的時候，服務人員已經在門口等候，給我們送來了第三份洗漱用品和拖鞋了。給一個大大的贊！

8852 Serendipitous LifeOverall the hotel staff and service are 4 star. What makes the hotel 5 Star are the rooms and facilities. It is clean, safe, and well maintained.
To be fair, I did arrive in early April during the off-season but I was not impressed with the service provided. Staff was consistently difficult to find, or would be crowded all in the lobby. Check-In and Check out was easy and the staff are very nice. International guests be aware, few to no staff speak English or communicate in any other language.
The breakfast was not good. Cold and hard food, empty plates, drinks and foods not being refilled, and then having the lights turned off after breakfast was finished being served. Few selections, mainly cheap foods and breads.
There are no staff outside, during my time there. No bell hops, no one to guide you to the front desk (Because it is not easy to find at first), no one to help with your luggage. A single staff member stands at the front of the lobby after you enter to greet you.
Positives - The room was spacious and very clean. It had most things I needed and the quality of the room and bathroom was excellent. The balcony looked over the courtyard and the ocean which people can see you if you go out but was a nice addition. The island the hotel is on has everything close by and most taxis/Didi’s will pick you up within five minute
The area has been developing for many years and is getting better each year. The Qingdao Beer Festival ground are close by (about 30 minutes drive) during the summer, but most activities are in the city about one hour drive away for the rest of the year.
For this hotel, the room and facilities are the focus as they are well taken care of and maintained. I am not sure if I would return.

- Situación de la habitación:
La habitación y la ubicación son totalmente dignas. Si eres un extranjero como yo, podría ser un poco difícil llegar allí. Pero una vez que llegas y ves la vista y la habitación, es absolutamente digna.
-Servicio: El personal masculino del restaurante es muy amable, rápido, amable y pensable.
· El conductor y la tía del restaurante son muy cálidos y amables.
Ahora, qué necesita mejora
El personal de la mesa delantera se encontró como un poco profesional.
Reservé una sesión cantante de bowls de 45-minute a partir de las 12:15, y luego reservaba un fotógrafo para las 13:00. Pero a las 12:48, la dama del escritorio me llamó y incluso llamó al profesor cantante de bowls mientras mi sesión estaba aún en marcha.
Creo que esto es un conocimiento básico para el personal del escritorio frontal: una sesión cantante de bowl requiere un ambiente tranquilo, y mi sesión no había terminado aún no era tiempo para el fotógrafo.
