This was a large but lovely hotel with a great view of the ocean. It was a bit of a drive from the train but they did have a shuttle and taxis were easily available. The room was spacious and clean. They had an onsen which was lovely. The Japanese women guests were helpful in my navigation of the use of the bath. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was fine but not very unique. We found a number of fun things to do around town.

시설은 오래 되었지만 깨끗하고 주변에 음식점도 많고 무료주차이고 직원이 아주 친절해요. 선밸리 이즈나가오카(=본관)에 가면(걸어서 7분, 무료 셔틀 언제든 가능) 아주 큰 대욕장이 있어요. 하루의 피로가 싹 씻깁니다. 조식도 본관에 가서 먹어야 하는데 아주 맛있어요. 오고갈 때 걸으니까 소화도 되고 참 돟아요. 다시 갈 거에요.

The service was very good and the place is amazing. Nevertheless they didn’t allow us to have dinner or breakfast in the hotel as they said it was fully booked, and when requested for late check in we were asked to pay more. It would have been expected to be able to at least check in a bit later since we couldn’t enjoy the dinner or breakfast in the hotel and was inconvenient.

Beautiful hotel that’s located right by the seaside with unobstructed view of the sea. Outdoor onsen looks directly out to the sea and it’s amazing. Tatami was made for us already when we arrived and the mattress was thick and comfortable. We didn’t choose to have food there, and instead went out—there are several small restaurants nearby and are within short walking distance. The staff were friendly, they came out to greet us in the rain when we arrived. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

I suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can. The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se. The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa. We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.

La habitación está orientada al este, mirando al mar. Podrás quedarte dormido escuchando el sonido de las olas por la noche, y por la mañana contemplar el amanecer sobre el mar desde el balcón, lo cual es muy bonito. El hotel tiene una playa privada con muchas estrellas brillantes por la noche. Mientras miraba las estrellas en la playa, inesperadamente vi dos estrellas fugaces, lo que fue una sorpresa que superó mis expectativas. Las olas en la playa son enormes, perfectas para practicar surf. El hotel también está muy limpio y ordenado. Espero volver si tengo la oportunidad.

Wonderful service. Very nice staff who introduced where is the best place for seeing Sakura. Chinese speaking staff Ms. Lin super nice. The outdoor hot spring is perfect! Big 7-11 nearby. Breakfast fired fish must try! All rooms sea view and very clean. Big car park. Highly recommend and will come again! 5 stars!

La mejor parte de la visita a Japón, aunque es un poco lamentable que no haya comido porque no se ha reservado con antelación. El paisaje de la habitación es hermoso. Yo me encantaría escuchar las olas un día, pero la habitación es super aislada, hay dos pisos, a menos que alguien se encuentre en el pasillo, pero no he entendido esa situación. La reserva es una sopa privada, la felicidad está llena, cada uno tiene cuarenta minutos suficientes, El resto es bueno, excepto el transporte no es muy conveniente. Gracias al personal de servicio de la recepción, me ayudo con entusiasmo a ayudarme, me enviará a la estación de vuelta de forma activa, aunque nuestra lengua no es muy buena, pero ha estado comunicando, muy cálido 🩷 Si hay una oportunidad para llegar a la próxima vez, creo que seguiré eligiendo esta casa.

Waking up to see the Mount Fuji from the room is the highlight. Hot spring is also available in the room. The hotel rooms are spacious and located over the hillside - the most convenient way to commute between buildings are via car/ shuttle bus; walking may take much longer. Lights in the room are a bit too dim to us. Limited amenities are available, with no toothbrush/ toothpaste in room. Futons are available, but self-serve. Access to Laforet and Izu Marriott public hot springs is available. Unfortunately towels are not available in the public bath of Laforet - towels need to brought from hotel room. Standard dinner / breakfast buffets are available.

Hotel setup is modern with spacious room and western beds. There are several options for hot baths. Dinner and breakfast are both buffet style which offered great selections. There’s also free beverages, including alcohol. Great for relaxation in the hotel.
