💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! 因為約了第二天去看冰洞，發現這裏離集合地點才46公里，雖然是要走回頭路，因為價格算是性價比最高的了，於是就訂下來了。 晚上10點才到冰河湖，拍照後到酒店已經11點半，發現酒店後面就是一個大冰川，從房間的窗户就完全可以看到躺在床上還發現屋頂上有一個天窗，躺在床上就能看星空和極光！ 空間確實有點小（冰島酒店的普遍現象！），但是麻雀雖小 五臟俱全，我們在房間做了晚餐。浴室裏有地暖，很不錯👍

El hotel estaba bien ubicado y el desayuno era genial. El personal fue muy amable y servicial. Lamentablemente, reservamos este lugar para usar los jacuzzis y, cuando llegamos, no estaban llenos. Llamé a recepción dos veces para que alguien revisara el problema, pero nadie vino. Fue una lástima, ya que nos había pillado el viento y la lluvia, así que teníamos los huesos congelados. Decidí darme un baño, pero la bañera no retenía agua, jaja. Fue una serie de desgracias.

We stayed at a hotel right next to Skógafoss, and you can drive directly into the Skógafoss parking lot, which makes access extremely convenient. We had two rooms with views of the mountains and the waterfall, which was truly special. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. A useful note: the cold water in the room is safe for drinking, while the hot water comes from natural hot springs (which may have a slight sulfur smell, as is common in Iceland). Breakfast had a smaller selection, but the taste and quality were good. I would also recommend trying the hotel restaurant at least once during your stay—the food was quite enjoyable. We were fortunate to catch the northern lights on both nights. On the first night, there was a strong, dancing aurora (around KP 6–7 / G3 storm) right outside the hotel in the parking area. On the second night (around KP 3), I woke up in the middle of the night and was still able to capture it on my phone despite some light pollution from the hotel. One small thing to note is that the main entrance doors close after 11 PM, so we had to use the side entrance when returning late at night.

El bueno: - El desayuno era muy bueno! - La habitación y la cama estaban calientes. - el ducha de agua caliente funciona casi instantáneamente. - Netflix y Amazon Prime están disponibles en la televisión. Pueden mejorarse: - puerta de la eslizante de baño emitida por un ruido de ruido alto que estaba molesto. - Una pobre aislamiento acústico entre pisos, nos quedamos en el piso y podíamos oír que se estremecía toda la noche. Nos retornimos a los empleados del hotel, pero se le dio un rostro “no puedo hacer nada sobre él” y un colchón de hombro que claramente indicaba que no tenían intención de hacer nada sobre él. - El teléfono en la habitación no funcionaba, el personal tuvo que reiniciarlo como dijeron que era una cuestión común. - el viento de aire en el baño dejó de moverse después de un tiempo, se le dijo que lo desactivara y se volvió a hacer funcionar. - comprobamos al mismo tiempo que otro par en la recepción, oímos que recibieron una actualización complementaria de la habitación estándar (como nosotros). Nos preguntamos si sería mejor, el personal acaba de decirnos que depende de la cantidad que pagamos por la habitación, pero claramente reservamos la misma habitación estándar? Total: La tarifa de la habitación estaba en el lado alto y se esperaba mucho, pero la condición de la habitación y el servicio estaban bajo entrega.

fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs. the room is spacious and clean. you get a good sized living room and balcony. TV has netflix which we watched while waiting for the northern lights. the place is dark enough, away from city lights to see the lights with your eyes and cameras. super pleasant stay, easy check in and out. will highly recommend here!

We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

Las cabañas están muy bien Como punto negativo veo la manera de hacer el check in. Tienes que llamar a un número de teléfono y que te digan el número de cabaña y la contraseña de entrada Quitando eso, el sitio la verdad es que está genial!

We had a fantastic stay at North Star Cottages. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We arrived to a warm, snug cabin after a day of walking in the rain, and it had everything we needed for a short one night stay. We were a family of four and we brought food to prepare. The kitchen had everything to cook, eat, and wash up. Beds were comfy and the shower was hot. Really great place.

The room was a bit old and had a hospital-like feel, but the location is fantastic: right by the sea with beautiful views. The staff were extremely helpful, and the restaurant exceeded all expectations.
