A really comfortable hotel room in Takayama. The room is big and clean. The bed is really comfortable. It’s a short walk from Takayama Station and the old town making it a great location. The hotel is quite strict about the 3pm checkin (which I’m usually okay with). I stored my luggage and returned to the hotel later and there was quite a bit line of people waiting to checkin. For me, if the rooms are ready and the guests are a little bit early it doesn’t make sense to be so strict about the 3pm checkin. It creates inconvenience for the guests and a stressful time period for the staff. They moved as fast as they could but it could be improved. It’s disappointing to see another Japanese hotel enforce rules just for the sake of enforcing them rather than logically think about the situation. Also, when informed about the baths, I asked if I could use them with a tattoo and I got a vague answer which didn’t answer my question. I ended up using a public bath at a neighboring facility. I respect Japanese culture but it would be better if staff could give a clear answer rather than feel awkward about a tattoo question. It is 2025 after all. The hotel breakfast was decent but it’s extremely crowded with limited seating. I sat downstairs which was fine with me. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Takayama but there is definitely room for improvement.

El hotel está bastante céntrico a poca distancia de la estación y del centro histórico. El personal fue muy servicial y amable. La habitación estaba algo pequeña para nosotros que cargábamos dos maletas grandes pero pudimos acomodarnos bien. Pudimos utilizar el baño publico durante las tres noches que nos hospedamos con lo cual es un gran bonus! 100% recomendado!

Nice and cozy hotel with moderate room size, good breakfast. Cheap parking is available right across the street with only 800yen for 24 hours. A good hotel to get overnight with if you pass by Gifu.

Excellent! Very satisfied for this onsen hotel!! Definitely recommend this accommodation to friends and family. Everything is over expectation: services, facilities, room, public bath (onsen), food, and all. One drawback would be language barrier between some staff, but they really trying to communicate with us which is impressive. Also, there is a free shuttle bus service between train station and hotel during daytime, very convenient. Tips for me is to book this hotel on weekdays, it is half price cheaper than weekends or holidays.

Me gustó mucho la política de no usar zapatos: le da al hotel un ambiente tranquilo y limpio. Sin embargo, la habitación confort era decepcionantemente pequeña y bastante estrecha, lo que le resta comodidad. Además, aunque muchas zonas del hotel están limpias y bien cuidadas, las toallas podrían ser mejores (más suaves). En general, una buena estancia, especialmente por la ubicación, perfecta para hacer senderismo en Nakasendo.

Ryokan is perfectly located not far from bus station. Cozy rooms, amazing kaiseki dinner and very special breakfast BUT If anything is needed - nobody will bring it to your room number (i.e. towel, spoon, fork), you could get it only at reception, which is far from hotel wings. Also on the day of leaving after hiking in montains I was not allowed to visit public onsen while collecting my baggage. The reason - I came later than ”check-out time” - it costs nothing to the hotel, but the mood was ruined. I paid almost 600usd for a night and was expecting definitely another level of service.

The hotel is very good for public bath and sauna. They have swimming pool and gym but the opening time at 8.00 AM .if they can open at 6.00 AM or 6.30 AM will be better. The breakfast is served with variety of food. Too bad we got room at 4 th Floor. When you open window of room, You see wall.

El hotel está justo al lado de la estación de Gero. Si no quiere caminar, también puede tomar el autobús hasta el hotel. Los asientos para el desayuno se dividen en estilo occidental y japonés. Hay dos períodos de tiempo para elegir. La habitación que reservaste tiene aguas termales, lo cual es muy conveniente.

Hotel muy nuevo. Está situado justo enfrente de la estación de autobuses Nohi, siguiendo la misma calle, lo cual lo hace muy fácil de encontrar. Salir para coger el autobús Nohi es muy cómodo. También está cerca de la estación de Takayama, lo cual resulta muy práctico si se viaja con el Hida Pass. Ofrecen Ochazuke (sopa de arroz con té) a las 21:00. En la azotea hay un onsen. Aunque el agua termal no es tan excepcional como la de Gero, sigue siendo muy agradable. Ofrecen una gran variedad de lociones para elegir. Disponen de máquina de hielo y lavadoras. Además, hay café y bolsitas de té de autoservicio. El desayuno es abundante y con un marcado toque japonés. El karaage (pollo frito) del desayuno está rico, aunque los manju de Hida eran un poco pegajosos. En general, la experiencia es muy buena. Da la impresión de que siempre hay muchos huéspedes.

広くて清潔で驚きました。中国資本のホテルだとわかっていましたが、お安く良い場所にあり、駐車場も無料でしたので楽しみにしながら予約しました。フロントの方が大変お優しく丁寧で癒されました。 お部屋は、たまたまそのお部屋が空いていたからだと思いますが、16畳の畳の和室にシングルベッドが２つ、キッチン、茶箪笥、冷蔵庫、和テーブル。それとは別にキングサイズのベッドが入った洋室が、続き間で、もちろんテレビ。窓は広くて２つ。バスルームと洗面。トイレは独立していました。 広すぎるくらいのお部屋でしたが、激安過ぎて感動しました。また、機会がありましたら、お世話になります。
