I stayed one night at this hotel, which is conveniently located near the train station and feels fresh and new. The on-site restaurant serves dinner, and we tried the sukiyaki — it was absolutely delicious and definitely worth a try, even if the price is on the higher side. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would happily choose this hotel again when visiting Zao.

Ubicado en un barrio tranquilo, el personal es amable y servicial. El aparcamiento es limitado en los alrededores del hotel, pero tienen todo lo necesario. Solo tienes que preguntarles y te lo solucionarán. El alojamiento incluye desayuno gratuito, y es realmente increíble; te sorprenderá la variedad que ofrecen.

I was very impressed with my stay at this hotel. The service was good, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was varied. If I come back here again, I will definitely stay here again. Most importantly, there is a window with a view and the room is spacious and comfortable.

My biggest mistake of this trip to Yamagata is to book this hotel. It's a good hotel but it's in the middle of nowhere. You will want to stay around the city of Yamagata province which is also called Yamagata city just so you can get to famous tourist spots. However this is 4 hours away from all of these. I had to book another hotel so I can stay 1 day in the city when I wanted to visit these places and the traveling time just completely made me exhausted. It took like 1 day to go to a place and 1 day to go back. It was so terrible, I was crying. This place is closed to Shonai airport not Yamagata airport so I also had to book another flight from Shonai. I wasted so much money for transportation. It was such a terrible experience. However the hotel is incredibly beautiful with smart design in everything. I loved the onsen very much. If it was just a vacation/restcation for relaxing purpose or isolate yourself from the human word, it's the best choice for you. Since its in the middle of the endless rice field, there is nothing to eat except for paying very high price to eat at the hotel's restaurant. And the food was just okay. The beauty of this hotel was like a trap. Its like I was blind from its beauty and couldn't see all other disavantages.

El hotel en general estaba bien, pero el cuarto olía mucho a humos y en la mañana viendo bajamos a querer ingerir alimentos nos dijeron que ya había acabado el desayuno y apenas eran las 10, lo que me gustó fue la cama cómoda y la buena atencion del personal , fueron amables y puedesnllegar caminando denla estacion del tren como lugar estratégico para transportarte esta muy bien. Aunque lo recomiendo colo para 1 noche

This hotel is located just in front of Yamagata JR / Shinkansen station, it’s perfect for a family stay especially with childrens Becos of very short distance walk only from Yamagata station. Highly recommended Becos not only location is perfect, room are clean.

Quizás por ser un hotel antiguo, hay algo de suciedad en el techo y las ventanas. A pesar de la poca iluminación, la cafetera es de gran ayuda, ya que está lejos de cualquier tienda o supermercado.

Fue una posada maravillosa de principio a fin. Cada miembro del personal con el que me cruzaba limpiaba, vaciaba los cubos de basura y mantenía siempre una limpieza meticulosa. Los baños estaban abiertos las 24 horas, y era tan cómodo que quise quedarme otra noche, pero me dijeron que estaba completo y me rechazaron. Mmm, dicen que hay plazas libres en su página web, así que pensé mientras me dirigía a casa. Sin duda, me alojaría aquí de nuevo.

I like Richmond Hotels for their modern decor and well-maintained property. Unfortunately this location in particular falls short of the most basic criteria of a hotel - cleanliness, especially in Japan. There were molds found in the bathroom in between the tub and the wall, as well as in between the window silts. The location of the hotel is about 5 mins walk from the Yamagata Station. Staff were nice and hospitable. The free midnight snack and free drinks and ice cream in the lounge were nice touches to the stay.

Nice and friendly staff, within 10 minutes walk from Yamagata Station. The natural public hot bath is small but nice and serves the purpose of relaxation. Limited choice of food served in breakfast but the food is nice. Free alcohol drinks during 6-9 pm. We selected a room with a loft bed, and if you use it you need to put the bed sheet yourself.
