«Comfort Hotel Kochi became our 12th hotel on this journey, and honestly, it was one of the most pleasant surprises so far. We checked in earlier today, and the location immediately scored big points — it is just a comfortable 5-minute walk from Kochi Station, making arrival very easy. The hotel itself feels brand new, and that freshness really shows. The lobby is slightly more spacious than other Comfort Hotels we have stayed at in Japan, which made a great first impression. Check-in was smooth even though it was done via a machine, and there was a friendly staff member nearby who stepped in to help and speed up the process when needed — a small touch, but very much appreciated. We were assigned a room on the highest floor, and to our surprise, this turned out to be the biggest standard double room we have ever stayed in across all Comfort Hotels in other cities. The room felt new, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out. The entrance area was spacious enough to fully open our large luggage without playing Tetris — always a win. The bed was comfortable, and while two pillows were already provided, I was able to get additional ones easily. There was a proper desk and chair, making it comfortable to sit down and work. The TV felt modern as well, with YouTube available, which was a nice bonus after a long day out. Even the bathroom was more spacious than expected, adding to the overall comfort. What made the stay even better was the free breakfast included for both nights of our stay, which always adds great value. On top of that, the streetcar station is also within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore Kochi without any hassle. Overall, Comfort Hotel Kochi exceeded our expectations — modern, comfortable, spacious, and well-located. It was a solid and satisfying stay that made us glad we chose it.»

«I would otherwise give a full 5 score for everything, however, I was not made aware and nor does this website explain surcharges. My bill added at the end a 150 yen fee for onsen use - surprising and unexpected, but I'll accept it. What I will not accept is a 2200 yen daily fee entitled 'facilities use', which has no other explanation. I understand there is a 1000 yen daily fee for parking, but 2200 yen per day for what exactly? What 'facility? This is entrapment. Come pay for your room on the website and then just as you're leaving, here's a bill for some more money. Quite outrageous. Now on the plus side, the staff are lovely, polite and incredibly helpful. The onsen is huge, though dated. And the premises is massive overall, seemingly built in the 70s perhaps, and expanded over the years. The room was very large for Japan and comfortable beds and pillows, although the fridge vibrated when the compressor kicked in and was loud enough it disturbed us, so I had to turn it off. So as far as the hotel and its staff are concerned - top notch, but this review serves to warn others of unwritten, unexplained and last minute fees that both this website and the hotel must make clear.»

«Located near major shopping and dining in Kochi, this business-class inn was a moderate walk from JR Kochi station and only a few stops away on the local streetcar that runs nearly in front, itself a nostalgic attraction for visitors to the region. Of all my stays in Japan, the front desk and lobby staff went far to make me feel welcome and accommodate my few requests, making my three night stay in Kochi effortless and enjoyable.»

«The location is good & easy access to key spots. The rooms were clean & comfortable. Staff were overall professional & helpful. But check out at 10am is too early & not a good point & the company’s app wasn’t easy for foreigners — to enjoy the 11am check out. A disappointing part. Breakfast place is smaller and can get very crowded and too compact. Overall it’s average & without other facilities — other choices may seem more attractive.»

«Great stay at Bright Park hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the location is good. Kochi castle is about 10 minute walk away and there are plenty is restaurants nearby. There is no laundry service on site, but there is a 24 laundrette 2 minute walk away where you can wash your clothes for ¥300. Would stay again»

«Hotel was decent. Located just next to the train/bus station making it easy to get in and out of the city.  Room was spacious and comfortable. Cleanliness was so so but not terrible.  Be sure to check out the information center just across the street to get some good ideas where to travel in Shikoku island, specifically kochi prefecture.»
