Before the pandemic, I used to write hotel reviews quite regularly. However, in recent years, most hotels I have stayed at have generally met my expectations in terms of service and hospitality, so I rarely felt compelled to write one. Modena by Fraser Bangkok, however, left me with no choice but to pick up my pen again. It was not because of grand luxury, but because of the warmth, sincerity, and thoughtful gestures that truly made me feel at home throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine smiles and warm greetings at the lobby. Check-in was smooth, efficient, and hassle-free, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. I booked a Deluxe King Room, and it certainly did not disappoint. The room was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and equipped with everything I needed. The amenities were excellent, but the highlight was undoubtedly the bed—it was incredibly comfortable and provided a great night's sleep after long days exploring Bangkok. The hotel's facilities were another highlight. Both the fitness centre and laundrette operate 24 hours a day, which is extremely convenient for travellers. The laundrette has three washing machines and three dryers. Washing costs THB 150 and drying costs THB 120. The washing machine automatically weighs your laundry, so the duration depends on the load. My four days' worth of clothes took about an hour to wash, while drying required the standard one hour. As someone who enjoys working out while travelling, I made full use of the gym every day. It exceeded my expectations, offering free weights, a Smith machine, resistance machines targeting different muscle groups, treadmills, and stationary bikes. It had everything I needed to stay active and maintain my fitness routine during the trip. Breakfast was another pleasant surprise. The selection was excellent, with many of the hot dishes and pastries changing daily, making each morning feel fresh and enjoyable. The location is also a major advantage. The hotel is located right next to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) MRT station and is only one stop from Sukhumvit Station, where Terminal 21 is located. It is also just two MRT stops from the Makkasan/Phetchaburi interchange for the Airport Rail Link, making travel to and from the airport very convenient. A 7-Eleven next to the hotel is another welcome bonus. Before I conclude, I would like to share one small incident that perfectly reflects the hotel's exceptional hospitality. On the second day of my stay, the light bulb at the room entrance stopped working. To me, this was simply normal wear and tear. I informed the front desk before heading out, and by the time I returned, the light bulb had already been replaced. The following day, after returning from my outing, I found a small towel elephant placed on my work desk, together with some snacks and a handwritten apology card from the hotel regarding the light bulb incident. I was genuinely touched. It was such a small gesture, yet it spoke volumes about how much the team cared about their guests. Throughout my travels, very few hotels have gone the extra mile in such a thoughtful and heartfelt way. Thank you, Modena by Fraser Bangkok, for making me feel genuinely valued and welcomed. Lastly, I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to the housekeeping team. Every day, I returned to a spotless, tidy, and welcoming room. It truly felt like coming home after a long day of sightseeing. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Modena by Fraser Bangkok to anyone planning a trip to Bangkok. With its excellent service, comfortable accommodation, well-equipped facilities, convenient location, and above all, a team that genuinely cares about its guests, this is a hotel I will gladly return to on my next visit.

The views from this hotel was stunning. Both inside in my room and all around the hotel campus you look directly into the heart of Bangkok and can see a good part of the city. Location wise travelers at this site are close to multiple local hotspots. In my case I enjoyed walking over to the waterfront where I took a river cruise into China town and spent most of my day there. It was pleasant to come back to a quiet room with a charming view after all the exploration and adventure. Inside my room everything was clean and with a touch of modern decoration and color. My bathroom included a spacious tub and my bed was very comfortable under the well regulated room air conditioning. I enjoyed being close to several shopping districts including Central World and Siam Paragon where I ended up walking to the next morning. I very much enjoyed the staff at this site with complements going to the bar crew. Both nights there I spent time enjoying a beer and discussing how local life was for these friendly and energetic folks. On my last morning I took part in the breakfast buffet and I was surprised to see how many options for food were available. Overall this was a great stay that I recommend and would gladly revisit upon my return.

My stay at Courtyard Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 was amazing. All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Their warm hospitality made me feel right at home throughout my stay. I also frequently ordered food through Grab, and it was very convenient that the hotel provides a designated table for delivery drivers to drop off orders. This thoughtful arrangement made the process smooth and hassle-free. Another great advantage is the location. There are plenty of massage shops nearby, and EmSphere is only a 5–10 minute walk away. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely choose to stay at Courtyard Sukhumvit 20 again on my next trip to Bangkok. Looking forward to coming back!

Hotel tranquilo, con habitaciones funcionales, de tamaño correcto, limpias (a pesar de tener moqueta) y vistas a la ciudad. Completan las instalaciones el restaurante, el bar de la planta baja, un pequeño gimnasio y la piscina.

Las habitaciones del hotel son espaciosas, limpias y muy modernas. Tienen cargador internacional proporcionado. Bueno para la familia, ya que tienen un área de juegos para niños, el servicio es bueno, pero no ofrecen ni sugieren a qué lugar o lugares turísticos ir. Dicho esto, si eres especialmente sensible a los olores a humedad, te recomiendo que tengas cuidado al alojarte aquí a menos que el hotel haya solucionado este problema. Otro inconveniente fue la limpieza. Dado que la habitación era muy grande, entiendo que puede ser más difícil limpiarla a fondo, pero aun así noté bastantes zonas y rincones que parecían sucios o que no se habían limpiado correctamente. Si eres muy exigente con la limpieza, esto es algo que debes tener en cuenta. También hubo un problema con los artículos de aseo. Después de registrarme, salí durante el día y, al regresar a la habitación por la noche y querer cepillarme los dientes, me di cuenta de que no había ni cepillos ni pasta de dientes en el baño. Cabe destacar que, tras comentar el problema, el personal me proporcionó tres juegos adicionales de cepillos y pasta de dientes, suficientes para el resto de mi estancia. El personal fue atento, pero creo que la política de reposición de artículos básicos del hotel podría mejorarse. Otro inconveniente fue la comunicación con recepción. No había teléfono en mi habitación para llamar directamente. En su lugar, el hotel me facilitó un número de móvil tailandés, WhatsApp y un ID de LINE. Como turista internacional, llamar directamente a un número de móvil tailandés no me resultó nada cómodo.

Mi experiencia en esta estancia fue agridulce. Elegí este hotel principalmente para coger un vuelo. Todo bien en general. No está lejos de la estación Chong Nonsi del BTS, se puede ir andando. La habitación es grande, el desayuno está bien y tiene una piscina en la azotea. El servicio de atención al cliente no cambia las sábanas si no se pide, y sí que hay cucarachas.
