I recently stayed at the Colombo Court Hotel, and while it offers good value and excellent rooms, the hospitality felt a bit rigid for a tourist. First, the bright spots: The room itself was fantastic. It was large, impeccably clean, and featured great-quality sheets with plenty of excellent pillows. The bathroom was stocked with plush towels and quality toiletries. Since I arrived fighting a cold, the great selection of coffee and teas in the room was an absolute lifesaver. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I arrived at noon after an all-night flight. Even though it's the low season and the hotel felt completely empty, the front desk rigidly enforced the 2:00 PM check-in time. They didn't even offer an early check-in for a fee. Instead, I was told I could wait out in the heat by the pool for two hours. There was also a strange billing issue at check-in. The front desk asked me for a $43 payment, even though I had already prepaid in full. I had to firmly show them my paperwork showing the booking platform's virtual credit card payment before they backed off. They didn't bring it up again, but it felt a bit like a shakedown attempt. Finally, my booking confirmation explicitly stated checkout was between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Yet, at 11:30 AM, staff knocked on my door telling me checkout was actually at 11:00 AM. Even after showing the front desk my confirmation, they insisted their rule was 11:00 AM. The staff was always friendly and polite, but it felt like they were serving their rulebook rather than their guests. The property is very clean but has much more of a business-traveler vibe than a welcoming tourist destination. I have another reservation here for my return leg, but I’ll be canceling it to stay somewhere else.

Teníamos una habitación con una cama, la habitación fue remodelada o las camas fueron juntadas para nosotros. No era cómodo dormir porque... hay lámparas encima de tu cabeza. El aire acondicionado sopla con fuerza. La caja con el juego de té contenía muchas pequeñas termitas, que inmediatamente se trasladaron a las manos. Cerramos la caja y no la abrimos para que no entraran en nuestras cosas. El hotel es hermoso, los desayunos en general son buenos, hay agua en la habitación.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, everything was perfect. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The reception team especially made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay. If you’re thinking about booking, don’t hesitate! this is a great place to stay!

La ubicación y la limpieza eran muy buenas. Me gustaría volver a usarlo la próxima vez. Aunque la habitación era compacta, tenía todo lo que necesitábamos y era luminosa y agradable. La zona del agua también estaba limpia. Tarda más de lo que crees en salir completamente el agua caliente jajaja Mi marido es fumador, así que poder bajar a la terraza desde la habitación y fumar fue realmente agradable.

I recently stayed at Anarva Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable. The rooms were modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, with beautiful decor that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The amenities, especially the spa and pool area, were top-notch, providing the perfect place to unwind. The hotel’s location was ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. I also have to mention the dining experience—delicious food with a great variety of local and international options. Every meal was a treat! Overall, Anarva Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

No está mal. Las instalaciones son un poco antiguas. Me he alojado aquí una vez. Los camareros son convenientes y eficientes, y hay mucha comida abajo. Se tarda diez minutos en llegar andando a la playa.

¡Realmente disfruté de mi estancia de 3 noches aquí! El desayuno aquí es mucho más de lo que puedas imaginar y el chef que sale de la cocina sonríe y pregunta cómo está la comida, ¡estaba realmente deliciosa y me encantó!

This hotel is in a great location. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. The room is large and the bed seemed clean. That is where the positives end, unfortunately. Upon arrival, very late at night, after a long trip. There were no towels in the room. Too exhausted to rectify, we just went to sleep without a shower. The hotel has an off smell about it, a bit like wet carpet. The cleanliness is questionable. Some mould. It seems it is not thoroughly cleaned. Frequently. Our room was not attended to, so we didn't receive fresh water. If you need to get work done while at the hotel don't book here. The WiFi is intermittent and would only work on my phone, not laptop. Therefore it's not suitable for any online workers. The toiletries were less than those advertised. Body lotion, shampoo and body wash are all that are provided. There is an ironing board...but no iron. Why? The hairdryer is one of those models you must continually hold down the button for it to work. It would work for only around 5 minutes and then would shut off and then had to wait 5 minutes for it to cool down to use again

Good big room with nice view to the beach. Some restaurants are a few minutes nearby. Would recommend.
