I recently stayed at the Colombo Court Hotel, and while it offers good value and excellent rooms, the hospitality felt a bit rigid for a tourist. First, the bright spots: The room itself was fantastic. It was large, impeccably clean, and featured great-quality sheets with plenty of excellent pillows. The bathroom was stocked with plush towels and quality toiletries. Since I arrived fighting a cold, the great selection of coffee and teas in the room was an absolute lifesaver. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I arrived at noon after an all-night flight. Even though it's the low season and the hotel felt completely empty, the front desk rigidly enforced the 2:00 PM check-in time. They didn't even offer an early check-in for a fee. Instead, I was told I could wait out in the heat by the pool for two hours. There was also a strange billing issue at check-in. The front desk asked me for a $43 payment, even though I had already prepaid in full. I had to firmly show them my paperwork showing the booking platform's virtual credit card payment before they backed off. They didn't bring it up again, but it felt a bit like a shakedown attempt. Finally, my booking confirmation explicitly stated checkout was between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Yet, at 11:30 AM, staff knocked on my door telling me checkout was actually at 11:00 AM. Even after showing the front desk my confirmation, they insisted their rule was 11:00 AM. The staff was always friendly and polite, but it felt like they were serving their rulebook rather than their guests. The property is very clean but has much more of a business-traveler vibe than a welcoming tourist destination. I have another reservation here for my return leg, but I’ll be canceling it to stay somewhere else.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, everything was perfect. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The reception team especially made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay. If you’re thinking about booking, don’t hesitate! this is a great place to stay!

La ubicación y la limpieza eran muy buenas. Me gustaría volver a usarlo la próxima vez. Aunque la habitación era compacta, tenía todo lo que necesitábamos y era luminosa y agradable. La zona del agua también estaba limpia. Tarda más de lo que crees en salir completamente el agua caliente jajaja Mi marido es fumador, así que poder bajar a la terraza desde la habitación y fumar fue realmente agradable.

It was the first time I stay in this hotel. It is located near the seaside when you can find a beautiful scene for sunset. Very convenient and easy to access to shops/restaurants nearby. It is not far to the city centre when I had spent my good weekend. The breakfast had a lot of choices and they were tasty. The staffs in the restaurant/receiption were nice and helpful. I will stay in this hotel when I return to Colombo again.

I recently stayed at Anarva Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable. The rooms were modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, with beautiful decor that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The amenities, especially the spa and pool area, were top-notch, providing the perfect place to unwind. The hotel’s location was ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. I also have to mention the dining experience—delicious food with a great variety of local and international options. Every meal was a treat! Overall, Anarva Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

En general, está bien. El precio es relativamente barato en la capital. Pensé que no sería una buena estadía a este precio. La sensación general es buena, pero los artículos desechables son un poco toscos. El baño está un poco oscuro y caliente. Todavía hay mucha agua. Me decepcionó que la habitación no fuera una habitación para no fumadores, por lo que el olor a cigarrillo impregnaba la habitación, pero me sorprendió gratamente la ubicación del hotel, la vista desde el desayuno y la deliciosa comida. El hotel parece muy antiguo y tiene un aire histórico. El lugar es famoso y seguro que cualquier taxista o tuktuk te lo dirá, pero como está en una esquina un poco apartada, tendrás que tener cuidado si sales tarde por la noche, ya que no habrá mucha gente. alrededor. No tenía grandes expectativas para el desayuno ya que era una habitación de ¥ 5000 por noche, pero era un estilo buffet lujoso por el precio y la vista del océano era increíble. La mayoría de los clientes eran de Sri Lanka o indios. Pensé que el condimento de los platos sería adecuado para los japoneses. Convenientemente ubicado en el área de Fort, cerca del Hospital Holandés y dos supermercados a poca distancia. Me gustaría quedarme aquí de nuevo cuando venga a Colombo.
