Reservé una habitación con terraza para dos noches con un día de antelación. Al llegar a la recepción del hotel, el personal fue muy amable y me acompañó personalmente a la habitación, preguntándome si estaba satisfecho. ¡Dije que sí! Al irse, me di cuenta de que era solo una habitación doble estándar. Cuando volví a recepción para preguntar qué había pasado, me dijo que era por las vacaciones y por la gran cantidad de huéspedes. Le pregunté: ”Entonces, como reservé a través de TripAdvisor y hay muchos huéspedes, ¿podrían ceder mi habitación confirmada a otros huéspedes?”. El gerente salió, se disculpó y no dijo nada más. Tuve que decirle que querían un reembolso de la diferencia de precio. El gerente dijo que, para obtenerlo, tendrían que cancelar el desayuno que originalmente estaba incluido. Al final, me reembolsaron la diferencia de US$20 por las dos noches, pero no me dieron desayuno. ¡Estoy muy decepcionado con el servicio del hotel!

We stayed at this 4‑star hotel for a 3‑night Christmas staycation as a couple, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. From the moment we arrived, the experience was smooth and welcoming. Check‑in was quick and efficient, and every staff member we met was extremely friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive. Their service really elevated our stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom featuring a relaxing rain‑shower. The big TV offered Asian news channels, a few sports channels, and even a movie channel, which was great for unwinding in the evenings. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with a generous buffet offering both Western and Asian cuisine. On Christmas Eve, we enjoyed the festive buffet dinner, which was a standout. The traditional Western dishes—especially the roast leg of lamb and stuffed turkey—were flavorful and beautifully prepared. The price was also noticeably more affordable than Christmas Eve dinners at other hotels, which made it even better value. The hotel’s facilities were another highlight. The 24‑hour gym was well‑equipped with the latest machines, making workouts convenient at any time. The infinity pool was stunning, especially at sunset, offering breathtaking views over the city. The restaurant staff were consistently attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The location is excellent—close to shops and easy to get around. We also loved the Sky Bar, which offers fantastic views over Phnom Penh. Their happy hour from 4pm to 7pm (buy one drink, get one free) was a great way to relax and enjoy the skyline. If we had to mention one downside, it would be the slow Wi‑Fi. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to everything else the hotel offered. Overall, we had a wonderful Christmas staycation and would definitely book here again. Highly recommended.

Hotel KVL is a solid city base in Phnom Penh with a good location and views over the Mekong River. It’s close to the main bar area and a weekend street market, but that also means the road in front is closed from around 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, so it’s worth checking how that might affect your arrival or departure. Make sure you get the exact room type you booked, as there can be discrepancies, and note that the water pressure is on the weaker side, though everything else in the room works well. Breakfast is decent with enough variety, and overall the hotel offers a nice urban contrast to the resort feel of the Park Hyatt in Siem Reap.

Location: at center of Phnom Penh, easily reach by grab. Room: neat and clean, size wise just ok, I get a nice view of Mekong river. Breakfast: variety not much but just ok you can request staff for additional egg menu. Staff: really friendly and greet you everytime. Shoutout to the breakfast staff who check with you everytime. Improve: although the towel is clean but it looks old and some have light yellowish stain which believes unable to wash out. It visible to naked eye. Which really unpleasant.

Ya era tarde en la noche cuando llegamos. El chico de la recepción fue muy amable y atento. Hablaba bien inglés y un poco de chino, por lo que no hubo barreras para la comunicación. El desayuno es un poco sencillo, el ambiente de la azotea es bueno, pero un poco pequeño. Lo más sorprendente es el balcón de la habitación, que es muy acogedor. Desde el balcón, puedes ver la vista de la ciudad y las agujas del templo de un vistazo, ¡lo cual es muy agradable!

The hotel staff was very friendly and so helpful. They offer us free upgrade to suite room. The room was clean and neat with big space. We will return ❤️

¡Esta estancia en el hotel fue la mejor! Desde la entrada se nota que es una buena elección, donde eres recibido por el personal con una toalla fría y perfumada para refrescarte al llegar y una taza de agua fría y dulce (¿tal vez limonada?). Realmente sabroso. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y limpias, las comodidades son buenas, la ubicación es EXCELENTE y la vista desde la piscina de la azotea también es increíble. Seguramente me quedaré aquí cuando regrese a Camboya. La comida también es muy buena y a buen precio.

Privado, limpio, apto para el descanso. Me gusta mucho este hotel. Si vienen aquí, les encantará.
