UUsuario invitadoWe were very pleased with the hotel and stayed there at both the beginning and end of our trip to Italy. We rented a car at the airport and parked it right in front of the hotel's door in a private courtyard. That was very convenient. I believe they charged us about 35 Euros each night for that perk. The hotel was luxurious, and the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. They had someone carry our bags to and from our room during check-in and check-out. Everything in the large room worked; it was clean, and there was a safe to store your valuables. As Americans, a few reminders or unexpected things to note. You'll need a power adapter (easily purchased on Amazon) and, unless you bring a voltage converter, make sure any appliances (CPAP, travel steamer/iron, etc) are compatible with both 110V and 220/230V. We didn't find washcloths in any of the hotels in Italy, so we just used hand towels in the shower. The shower at this hotel (both rooms) was a bath/shower combination. There was no shower curtain or door, only a small partition near the removable shower head to keep the water from splashing everywhere, which it basically did. While it is a beautiful historic building, there are a couple of elevators at this hotel, so you don't need to lug your stuff up a bunch of stairs. The room key is enormous and they only give you one. We kept ours in the car whenever we left the hotel so we wouldn't carry it around. Even though we had a car, we found it more convenient to leave it at the hotel and take an Uber to Vatican City rather than walk more than a mile each way, which we also did twice. The area surrounding the hotel was historic and lots of fun. Plenty of places to shop and eat. The breakfast buffet at the hotel each morning was also superb. Plenty of hot and cold items to fill you up before trekking out. That's about it. Don't forget to check out the view from the rooftop at the hotel. Have a great time in Rome!

NNaiyoubuliziLa habitación es más grande de lo esperado y cuenta con todas las comodidades. Lo más sorprendente es que incluye un hervidor de agua. El hotel, en general, es muy amable con los asiáticos, y para desayunar, ofrecen arroz y huevos revueltos, más adecuados para el gusto asiático. Veo que las primeras personas que vienen a desayunar por la mañana son en su mayoría asiáticos. En el vestíbulo del hotel se pueden alquilar bancos de energía, algo que no he visto en ningún otro lugar de Italia. El personal del hotel también es muy amable. Aunque el desayuno empieza a las 7 como muy temprano, si tienes que salir antes, el hotel también puede proporcionarte bolsas de desayuno la noche anterior, que incluyen pan, galletas, mermelada, zumo y agua, lo cual es muy práctico. El transporte es muy cómodo, junto a la estación Termini y la estación de metro, puedes tomar la línea AB del metro. El hotel está a menos de 2 kilómetros del Coliseo y del Foro Romano, por lo que es muy cómodo ir andando. Había oído que la zona alrededor de la estación no era muy segura. Siempre había personal de seguridad del hotel patrullando cerca de la entrada. Mientras no fuera demasiado tarde, me parecía que, en general, era seguro. El restaurante del hotel tiene muy buen sabor y parece estar entre los 100 mejores restaurantes. Está abierto hasta las 22:30, y los huéspedes del hotel pueden ir a cualquier hora sin reserva, lo cual es muy práctico. Aunque es un poco caro, el sabor lo vale. En general, estoy muy satisfecho y elegiré este hotel la próxima vez que venga a Roma.

UUsuario invitadoAn Unforgettable Stay with Exceptional Service at Starhotels Hello, I’m a traveler from Korea who recently stayed at Starhotels during a family trip to Italy. Our 4-day stay in Rome was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this heartfelt review as soon as I returned home. This trip was our very first family vacation to Europe — with my mother and my son — and we spent the first three days in Rome at Starhotels. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the excellent location, the spotless rooms, and most of all, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were so satisfied that we decided to return to Starhotels for our final night in Italy. However, due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally booked the wrong date. After completing a long 11-day journey through southern Italy, we returned to Rome exhausted — only to realize the booking was incorrect when we arrived at the hotel. It was a stressful and overwhelming moment… until Mr. Tofael M., the manager, kindly stepped in to help us. Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference. Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter. Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for. As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out. They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise. Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. I also plan to recommend Starhotels, along with the outstanding service of Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola, to as many people as possible through blogs, travel communities, and any platform I can. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Excelente opción para estadias cortas en Roma y especialmente para viajeros que necesiten fácil conexión con tren y para llegar al aeropuerto. Recomiendo.

PPhillipsBenjaminWe stayed here for four nights in June of 2025. The location of the hotel is generally good for getting to some of the more noteworthy site (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.). There's a metro station around 8 minutes walk away, which opens up most of the rest of the city pretty well. We walked from here to the Vatican, which took around 35 minutes, but would be less than half that by cab. The surrounding area is great for clothing shops, but the food we found nearby was mostly so-so, and frequently over-priced tourist fare, though I'm sure if you walk a little farther from the hotel you can find some good options. The room itself was booked for a family of four, and was comfortable. The bathroom and shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked just fine. Some of the sheets were not quite clean, but we just didn't use the one we found slightly dirty. The beds were comfortable and a good size. The room and hotel have little to no facilities, so you're really just paying for room and the location. The exterior entrance is not well marked, and we actually walked past it on the street several times. If you're thinking of booking here, I'd recommend just looking for the GAP store which is directly across the street, much easier to find. Our interactions with the hotel staff were limited. We received a number of automated messages, some of which were contradictory, or had out of date information. After booking and paying for the room (a non-refundable booking) we were told there was an extra ”city tax” not included which would need to be paid before checking in which amounted to around an extra $90 or so, and the offered price of an airport transfer service went up as soon as we requested it (from 85 euros to 95). The hotel arranged the transfer service for us, but the driver left the airport before we could get out of the passport control due to another booking. The driver service showed up at the hotel at the time the flight was supposed to arrive, even though the flight was late, and you'd expect them to know that going through passport control takes easily an hour, so this seems to be quite poor planning on behalf of either the hotel or the service. We ended up taking a taxi from the airport which was also slightly over half the price of the transfer service, so I'd recommend skipping their service, it seems like a rip-off. Taxis from the airport to the city center seem to be subsidized by the government, and were a fixed price of 55 euros (for a normal size car big enough for 4 people) at the time we visited. The train from the airport is also not a bad idea if you're comfortable using the metro, as the train station is just 3-4 metro stops from the nearest metro station to the hotel (Spagna). Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but felt like we mostly paid for the location.

Pero la zona estaba tranquila y con mucha presencia policial. Desayuno EXCELENTE, bastante variedad (fruta, huevo, bacon, bollería, cereales) y reponen rapido. La habitación justita. Cama genial. Recepción muy amable, aunque escasos de personal.

Muy buen desayuno, eso fue sorprendente. El personal del mostrador es amable. Pero no olvidemos que ésta es la parte histórica de Roma. Todo aquí es viejo. Pero la gente viene a Roma a pasear, no a sentarse en un hotel. Bueno, la zona alrededor de la estación central no es el lugar más tranquilo. No es necesario caminar hasta allí por la noche)))

UUsuario invitadoEl servicio del personal fue excelente. Siempre nos alegramos de que nuestra habitación estuviera limpia y tuviera toallas limpias todos los días. Las opciones de desayuno también eran increíbles. Dos cosas con las que no estoy 100% contento fue la ausencia de aire acondicionado en la habitación, lo cual era incómodo por la noche incluso con 2 ventanas abiertas. Vinimos la primera semana de abril y hacía calor. Además, el inicio del desayuno podría ser más temprano, como a las 6 a. m., ya que tuvimos que salir del hotel para realizar actividades alrededor de las 6 a. m. en algunos días de nuestra estadía. Pero en general todavía diría que este es un gran hotel, especialmente por su ubicación.
