Staying at this hotel in Zermatt was an unforgettable experience! The location is perfect—just 500 meters from the train station, making it incredibly convenient. The highlight of my stay was the warm hospitality from the owners, Thor and Michele. They personally served the buffet breakfast every morning, which was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. On my first day, I unfortunately missed breakfast, but as I was heading out around 10:45 am, they surprised me by reserving some food for me to enjoy before leaving. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made me feel cared for. The room itself was immaculate and had everything I needed. The balcony offered a stunning mountain view, which was a perfect way to start and end each day. Thor and Michele went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. They remembered my name, attended to every need, and even took the time to explain the local attractions and recommend food options based on my preferences. I feel incredibly lucky to have secured two nights at this gem of a hotel, especially since it’s almost always fully booked. This was one of the most personal and heartwarming stays I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Zermatt, staying here is an absolute must. Thank you, Thor and Michele, for making my trip so memorable!

I had a wonderful stay at this charming small hotel, beautifully decorated and conveniently located near Zermatt train station. During my stay, a snowstorm caused a power outage and all train services were suspended, making it impossible to leave the town. Despite these unexpected circumstances, the hotel took excellent care of us. They provided helpful information, allowed us to extend our stay without any additional charges, and showed incredible kindness throughout. The hotel owner was especially warm and accommodating, making a difficult situation much easier for us. I truly appreciated their hospitality and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zermatt.

El hotel está a unos diez minutos a pie de la estación de tren de Shelmat. La recepción del hotel no es entusiasta y no entusiasta. La recepción está organizando nuestra habitación de techo. El cuarto de cuadrados es perfecto para 2 adultos y 2 niños. el desayuno es excelente y el personal es amable Nos quedamos 3 noches y tuvimos suerte de que nos diera una noche de claridad sobre si en la cima de las montañas. 2 maneras de caminar al hotel desde la estación de tren, el más corto que Google le dirá incluye un paseo rápido (difícil si tienes equipaje en la tracción). Kristiane checked us in, and out of the hotel. She's the most attentive person so far that I've met, among the hotels that I have stayed in. Not only that, she got our issues fixed within the day, with a good sense of humour. The hotel breakfast was above average, some selection of cheeses, ham, salami, yoghurt, and drinks dispensed from the machine. I chose this hotel as it was close to Zermatt Bahnhof, and I did not regret it. A relatively new hotel, with a faint smell of wood in the room. The heating in the room can be a wee bit stronger, it means the insulation is good while we tuned down the central heating throughout our stay when the external temp is subzero. It's a gorgeous hotel, I have a narrow window view of the Matterhorn. Not to mention that the hotel is right next to McDonald's and two coffee shops. Overall, it was a splendid experience for us staying at Derby. If you were guessing, this isn't a sponsored review. We were just very happy travellers.

First of all, location is nice. And the owner and team are really nice. Politely and passionate. Of course facilities is good, weather 'doubtless' to be nice. All good and clean. They have even provide me a nicer view

Our 2nd night in Zermatt, we chosen Bristol. The location is slightly far from train station but theres view to matterhorn. We stayed in mountain view room but due to weather, we did not see any. Breakfast is good. Variety of choice.

Good! Overall recommended! Location is good, need some walking from station but manageable with 1 luggage. Hotel is directly opposite cemetery but don’t think too much and u be fine! Room is small but cozy (my photo is wide angle so seem bigger) Hotel is very helpful to help pack a breakfast bento for me as I be leaving before breakfast hours (just inform the day before). I also managed to keep luggage after checkout at the common area (no lock and key) and retrieve it later.

Booked a family room for 3 adults and 1 child. Service at front counter is excellent! Courteous, friendly and informative. Also we got upgraded! Room is clean and spacious and has a balcony. On going renovation next door during our stay in Oct 2024. Resort has 2 restaurant at the hotel but one apparently requires reservation and has seating time. We were famished when arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, but were told to come back at 830pm for second seating. Such a disappointment when the front counter service was excellent. Had dinner at the pub instead, food wasn’t too bad. Spa facilities was great. Would stay at the same Ola e again. Value for money

La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, pero no es muy fácil. La cama era muy cómoda, y apreciamos los toques pensables como el café, los baños de lujo y un guía con consejos locales. El hotel es un excelente hotel, ofrece una comunicación clara y respuestas rápidas a las preguntas que tuvimos. En general, Airbnb superó nuestras expectativas y le recomendaríamos a cualquiera que visite la zona.
