A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto Our family had a wonderful experience at The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto, and we left with nothing but gratitude and happy memories. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless and heartfelt — the kind of genuine hospitality that makes a trip feel truly special. A huge thank you to Cecilia and Vinnie from the Guest Experience team, who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and comfortable. Their warmth, attentiveness, and thoughtful gestures made us feel incredibly welcomed. A very special shout-out to Cecilia, who noticed my daughter’s love for Winnie the Pooh after our visit to Disneyland Resort. She prepared a beautiful card, a sweet message, and even a handmade Pooh origami and placed it in our room. It absolutely made our daughter’s day — such a thoughtful touch we will never forget. We also want to commend Yuki from the restaurant team for his warm and wonderful breakfast service each morning. His kindness and attention to detail set the perfect tone to start our day. The Ritz Kids adventure passport was a delightful surprise — engaging not only for our daughter but also enjoyable for us as parents. And of course, we loved the festive Christmas atmosphere, especially the beautiful Christmas tree and the amazing gingerbread house with the incredible aroma that filled the lobby. The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We felt cared for, welcomed, and genuinely appreciated. We can’t wait to return again. Highly recommended for families and anyone seeking an unforgettable Kyoto stay.

Excelente ubicación, con fácil acceso a Takashimaya y a la estación de tren. Incluso cuando llueve, es fácil moverse por el metro. Hay muchos restaurantes buenos cerca. Las habitaciones eran amplias y acogedoras. Está muy cerca del mercado Nishiki, la calle comercial Shinkyogoku, el centro Pokémon y Edion, y se puede ir andando fácilmente. Muy recomendable para familias con niños. El único inconveniente es que el desayuno es prácticamente el mismo todos los días. Por lo demás, las habitaciones eran muy amplias y cómodas.

Al visitarlo durante la temporada de hojas rojas, solo puedo decir que desde la perspectiva de la ubicación para observar los arces, puede que no haya mejor opción que Cuilan. Todos los principales lugares para observar arces están a poca distancia. El puente Togetsukyo que cruza la muralla está lleno de turistas y el hotel es elegante y tranquilo. Un sobresaliente para el personal de servicio y la limpieza. Aunque el desayuno del hotel no es tan rico como el buffet, es mejor que la calidad. Lo único es que la relación precio/rendimiento para la cena es ligeramente inferior.

I stayed here 10 years ago. The hotel looked exactly the same. It is a little bit on the old school side, but everything is clean and impeccable. The first day I arrived I had a stomach issue and the hotel was really kind and helped send fresh ginger tea up to my room and requested. They went out out of their way to find me fresh ginger. The second day I strained my back from lifting heavy luggage. They are once again very kind and send a staff to help me pack all my belongings and help me coordinate sending my luggage to Tokyo so I don’t need to lift it on the train. Special thanks to Naing Thiri who is so kind and help me pack everything so neatly and even help me get dressed Honestly, when I first checked in and the hotel looks a little bit outdated I was thinking maybe next day I would not want to come back but with the great service, I would definitely stay here again if I come to Kyoto

Todo fue bueno excepto el servicio en los restaurantes de hotel, que fue excepcionalmente malo: 1) desayuno: esperado por comida durante 40 minutos, recordó al servidor 2 veces - todavía nada; 2) Bar: un tiempo demasiado largo para un cocktail. En el final me dieron una placa de fruta y cuando les recordé de lo anterior... no hice nada ) me quedé en este hotel y tuve té de la tarde también el año pasado - todo estaba bien entonces. My wife and I booked the Classic Room for 3 nights in April 2025. We thought this was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip. From the moment you enter the hotel, you are welcomed by the hotel staff. You leave your bags with them and you walk up to a separate reception area where you are seated and offered tea and macarons. Check in is conducted while you sip your tea. After you get your keys, you go up to your room and your luggage bags are already there. We were very impressed by the reception. The room itself is fairly sizeable and offers a cabinet of Fauchon snacks. We had a good view of the alley behind the hotel that was lined with Sakura trees. We could also see the mountains in the distance. The location of the hotel is also great. It is located about a 5-10 minutes walk from downtown Kyoto and about a 5 minutes walk to Kiyomizu-gojo station. We also had breakfast which included a free flow selection of bread and pastries like French croissant, baguette and brioche. You also get a fruit plate, salad, and omelette. If you stay for more than 1 night, you also get a premium breakfast menu for your 2nd night onwards. We will definitely return to this hotel the next time we are in Kyoto.

基礎房型不是在main building，每次都要走到main building再上去吃早餐或者泡温泉，也不是真温泉，朋友的高級房型才是真onsen。給了尾房，有點小，還好看不到太多墳墓。 叫門口的工作人員幫忙拍照，非常不情願，黑臉的。夜晚從朋友房間回自己房間經過大堂，值班的前台態度也很差，總體來説服務態度不滿意。 硬件設施沒得説，很新，體量很小，不過日本的酒店都這樣，裝修也很好看，審美在線 附近至少有3個墓地和一堆神社，帶些護身符去吧

My favorite hotel I've ever stayed at before. Had more services than I've ever seen at a hotel before. The only issue I had was there was no hot water the day I stayed there. Had to use another facility to take a shower. Luckily the hot water was back by 11 PM that day. But, I enyoyed the private bath and the spa a lot. I also really like the overall aesthetic and atmosphere of the hotel. If I visit Kyoto again I'm going to book another stay at this hotel!

Nos encantó nuestra estancia en el Hotel Mitsui. Un diseño súper bonito y zen. Nos fascinó el vestíbulo, que creo que fue diseñado por Andre Fu. Siempre me ha fascinado su trabajo. El desayuno estaba bien, pero las vistas lo compensaron con creces. Súper relajante y precioso. El servicio fue excelente. La mayoría del personal hablaba inglés con fluidez. Hay una fuente termal en el sótano, pero hay que llamar a recepción antes de ir para asegurarse de que haya suficiente espacio. Todo estaba bien preparado, incluyendo trajes de baño, ropa interior desechable, toallas, agua, etc. Como controlan el número de personas, cada uno tiene su propio espacio y aun así se siente mucha privacidad. La habitación es bonita y con muchos detalles. Nos encantó la gran variedad de almohadas disponibles para los huéspedes. No es muy grande, pero el espacio está bien aprovechado. En cuanto a la ubicación, no diría que es la más conveniente, pero si tomas un taxi, todo está a un máximo de 20 minutos, así que no está mal. Todavía hay buenos restaurantes y lugares turísticos a los que se puede ir caminando, así que no está en medio de la nada. En resumen, una experiencia fantástica que recomiendo a todo el mundo.

La ubicación está al otro lado de las dos ciudades, el camino es hacia ella, muy conveniente. Kyoto no es grande, muy guapo, el hotel va a las atracciones en general es bueno. La recepción, el gestor de salones están en buenas condiciones, el inglés está muy en línea, muy internacionalizado, especialmente contratado por un hermano pequeño europeo y estadounidense, y la comunicación es muy comunicativa. Las instalaciones de la habitación son buenas, y el desayuno es bueno, especialmente la máquina fresca y interesante.
