A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto Our family had a wonderful experience at The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto, and we left with nothing but gratitude and happy memories. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless and heartfelt — the kind of genuine hospitality that makes a trip feel truly special. A huge thank you to Cecilia and Vinnie from the Guest Experience team, who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and comfortable. Their warmth, attentiveness, and thoughtful gestures made us feel incredibly welcomed. A very special shout-out to Cecilia, who noticed my daughter’s love for Winnie the Pooh after our visit to Disneyland Resort. She prepared a beautiful card, a sweet message, and even a handmade Pooh origami and placed it in our room. It absolutely made our daughter’s day — such a thoughtful touch we will never forget. We also want to commend Yuki from the restaurant team for his warm and wonderful breakfast service each morning. His kindness and attention to detail set the perfect tone to start our day. The Ritz Kids adventure passport was a delightful surprise — engaging not only for our daughter but also enjoyable for us as parents. And of course, we loved the festive Christmas atmosphere, especially the beautiful Christmas tree and the amazing gingerbread house with the incredible aroma that filled the lobby. The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We felt cared for, welcomed, and genuinely appreciated. We can’t wait to return again. Highly recommended for families and anyone seeking an unforgettable Kyoto stay.

We are highly recommend to stay in this hotel, while the location, room size, cleanliness, design, and service are excellent. Moreover, the breakfast style is enough to choose, you can either enjoy in western or Japanese style breakfast per day. And we have encountered a traffic jam issue when we are coming back from Nara Station, something bad happened and the train was suddenly stopped. So we cannot be able to back to hotel on time for retrieving our packed luggages in room. We called to the hotel and explained this unexpected situation. The staffs show understand and offered free late check out one more hour for us, we know it is not easy to have free late check out at Japan but they did treat us so well. Thank you so much, we appreciated and we will stay in future as well. Thank you!

So glad that I chose Six Senses Kyoto, love the design and everything about the hotel. I must say the pool was one of the best pools I ever swam, felt so calm and relaxed. Room was super comfortable and clean, overall experience was beyond my expectations. Thank you the team for their impeccable service, they are so well trained and professional. Excellent quality breakfast with buffet and à la carte menu.

¡Perfecto! Siempre que vengo a Kioto me hospedo aquí. La última vez no tenían sales de baño, pero esta vez sí, el hotel está mejorando. La ubicación es inmejorable y el personal chino de la recepción es muy amable. Un agradecimiento especial al personal de limpieza del sexto piso, que inteligentemente tiró la basura pero mantuvo la almohada hecha con toallas. No sé por qué desaparecieron las máquinas expendedoras de cada piso. Espero que puedan añadir una máquina de hielo. ¡La próxima vez me volveré a alojar en el ALA! (El helado de abajo también está delicioso)

The concierge team is really resourceful and helpful when we asked about luggage delivery service, thumbs up for their service. Just love everything about the hotel, excellent hospitality, great location, beautiful design, spacious room, comfortable bed and etc. Breakfast with huge selection including some Thai dishes, crispy bacons ever, just amazing. It was really great value for the money, highly recommended!

¡Fue un alojamiento perfecto! Jaja. Creé recuerdos maravillosos durante nuestra estancia de 4 noches y 5 días con mi hijo de 6 años sin ningún inconveniente. Jaja. Para ser un alojamiento en Japón, era espacioso y el suelo no estaba alfombrado, lo que lo hacía muy agradable. La ubicación también era céntrica, así que era ideal para pasear. Jaja. Me gustó especialmente que estuviera conectado a unos grandes almacenes, así que era perfecto para ir de compras. Jaja. No esperaba mucho del desayuno, pero tenía arroz blanco y guarniciones, así que era abundante y parecía una comida coreana. Si vuelvo, ¡sin duda me alojaré aquí de nuevo!

Ubicación menos concurrida en comparación con otros hoteles. Fácil acceso a los templos cercanos a pie, en autobús o metro. Personal amable y muy buena presión de agua, por si te interesa. ¡Los pasteles de desayuno de la panadería son increíbles!

El hotel ha sido inaugurado recientemente y tiene un diseño muy elegante. Continúa con los elementos de madera consistentes del Banyan Tree para brindar a las personas una sensación fresca y natural. Lo que más me gusta es el baño privado de madera de la habitación. Elogie el spa de aguas termales. El hotel ofrece cenas y desayunos exquisitos. Caminar por el pequeño jardín del hotel temprano en la mañana y contemplar el denso bosque de bambú es muy curativo. El servicio del personal es cálido y atento, educado y meticuloso, al nivel del techo.

Mi segunda estancia aquí, y como siempre, impecable, conveniente y con un servicio excelente. Quizás por ser invierno, ya no se escuchaban las motos a altas horas de la noche, lo que hizo que todo estuviera mucho más tranquilo y dormí mejor que en otoño. Varias veces compré bentos en el supermercado subterráneo de Takashimaya y los calenté en el microondas del primer piso del hotel, muy práctico. Aunque Kioto en invierno puede parecer un poco desolado, tiene un encanto diferente y sigue siendo precioso.
