This resort complex blends Italian hospitality with elegant rooms and furnishings with an agroturisme flair. Every detail has been thought out with warm, friendly service everywhere. The front desk has a can-do attitude-no request is too simple or difficult-a helicopter transfer or spare parts for a mobile phone are both easily managed. I usually flee hotels when it comes to lunches and dinners but this place bucks the trend. Being in an isolated location we were lucky that every meal was delicious, expertly prepared and beautifully presented on Italian ceramic plates with colorful patterns. The wine cellar here is also impressive from local Mt Eta wines to French Champagnes. The buffet breakfast is abundant and offers many local specialties including Sicily’s unique brioche & lemon granita dish plus smoked swordfish and olive oil produced from the resort’s olive trees. There is plenty to do here (golf, free bicycles, swimming pool, the beach [very rocky/pebble covered shoreline], hiking, water sports, or do nothing but watch the ocean view from the balcony of your room. It was a wonderful relaxing experience-I hope to return one day!
