«Great stay overall. The location is perfect, right inside the medina. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast was rich and very tasty.
The only small issue was that the hot water was a bit limited, so showers need to be quick, but the water temperature was good.
What really impressed us was how kind the host was. We had to leave early on our second day and could not stay for breakfast, so he prepared a takeaway breakfast for us. It was packed very carefully and was perfect for the road. We were very touched by this kindness.

UUsuario invitadoHeerlijk verblijf gehad bij Riad Al Ansari.
Wij verbleven in de bovenste kamer en konden gemakkelijk gebruik maken van het dakterras. Houdt wel rekening met flink wat trappen, maar we hebben echt genoten. Het bed ligt heerlijk, de douche is super, en de airco verwarmd de kamer goed (in de winter) en daarnaast was er een kacheltje in de badkamer. Dus we hebben het niet koud gehad.
Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en heerlijk. Elke dag was er wel iets anders wat we konden proeven.
De communicatie met Hicham (manager) was uitstekend. We werden goed ontzorgt.
De eerste avond hadden we ook een 2 gangen diner geboekt en die was heerlijk.
De locatie is ook super. Je staat binnen 5 minuten in de Medina en je kunt ook vlakbij afgezet worden met een taxi. De riad voelt heel rustig na de drukte van de medina. Niet twijfelen, gewoon boeken! Ps houdt wel rekening met het ramadankanon. Dit was voor ons even schrikken als je niet weet wat het is. Gaat om 3:30 en rond 5:15 uur af. Maar dit zul je in heel Fez horen uiteraard.

I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

JJettoSettoVery pleasant Riad, very well looked after, ideally located, within 5 mins walking to the Old Medina and car park. Additionally, very easily accessible by car for taxi transfers. Spacious rooms, clean modern toilets and showers with lockable doors, very tasteful décor, robust air conditioning system. Customer service was very good, house keeping was superb, both concierges Abu Bakr and Muhammad were very professional and kind, they communicated very well with us and took care to see to all of our needs. We thoroughly delighted over the variety and the overall quality of food at the accompanying Restaurant Soultana. Highly recommended.

NNuwanda0423Las escaleras son más cortas, el camarote ayudará a subir el equipaje. La higiene de la habitación, especialmente el baño, es más general y la contaminación es obvia. Las camas y los calzones son muy cómodos y duermen muy bien. El desayuno parece muy rico, usted está bien, en realidad es pan, fruta, fruta de hortaliza. Los jefes de populismo y los empleados adorecen interacciones.

Our 2 day stay was nothing short of enchanting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, adorned with traditional Moroccan decor with modern amenities, provided a luxurious retreat after a day of exploration. The staff always attentive with insightful recommendations, made all the difference to our stay.
Riad Algila truly embodies the essence of Moroccan hospitality offering a respite of calm and beauty amidst the vibrant tapestry of Fes.

SSlava_from_RussiaSuper justo ubicación! Taxi está justo a la entrada de Riad, no tienes que ir con bolsas en la calle estrecha de Medina. Entrada a Medina justo por la pared. Riad de lujo. Todo es muy bonito y elegante. Las camas son excelentes, también las pijamas. El desayuno es genial! El personal es tan agradable y muy bienvenido. No hay problemas de agua caliente. Gracias por el descanso.
No nos impidió descansar, pero sólo sabemos que a través de la pared de la Moscú con llamadas de la mañana puedes oír.

We arrived later than planned, reaching the property at 11 p.m. instead of the expected 9 p.m., yet Hager welcomed us with kindness and patience, making us feel completely at ease despite the late hour. That first impression set the tone for the entire stay.
Hager was also incredibly accommodating with breakfast. She kindly arranged breakfast earlier than the usual start time, and it was a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast — fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. It was one of the highlights of the stay and a perfect way to start the day.
At the time of leaving Fez, I had arranged my transport independently, but the situation did not go as planned and became stressful. When Hager became aware of this, she went out of her way to help, reassured me, and kindly allowed me to stay at the property during the unexpected delay.
The property is perfectly located in the heart of the medina, offering an authentic Fez experience while remaining peaceful and comfortable. The room was clean, well-maintained, and felt welcoming after long days of exploring.
What truly stood out was the genuine care and hospitality throughout the stay. Hager’s calm, thoughtful, and supportive approach made a real difference and reflects the high standards of this place.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Fez — not just for the location and comfort, but for the exceptional hospitality you’ll experience here.

Facturé 25€ (250 dirhams)inclus la majoration de 5€ pour service nocturne.
Chambre propre et literie confortable
Salle de bain très petite, douche sans bac, l eau coule directement sur le sol et l’eau met pas mal de temps à s écouler par le syphon: pas trop pratique si vous êtes pressés et que vous devez prendre votre douche l un après l’autre rapidement .
Le support de pommeau de douche cassé, il fallait le tenir à la main
Produits d hygiène a ramener, shampooing non fourni ( difficile quand on voyage avec bagage en cabine pour 2-3 jours)
Service de petit déjeuner basique, dommage pour certains produits commerciaux ( olives noires et fromage quiri )
Crepe et brioche préparé sur place, elles étaient très bonne
Emplacement parfait , juste à côté d un de suq de la vieille médina
Pour manger il y a plein de restos sur place mais ils sont relativement chers car on est en zone touristique
Ne pas hésiter à aller manger dans la ville nouvelle, on y va avec taxi pour 2€ par trajet (4€ a/r)
Attention: l hôtel affirme accepter la carte bancaire mais nous n avons pas pu régler 170dirham(17€) par carte car commission trop importante . Que les montants élevés sont acceptés ( à prendre en compte si vous payez en fin de séjour et que vous avez l’argent compté)
Wifi gratuit , terrasse sympa mais dommage ne pas y pouvoir prendre le petit dej
Dans l ensemble séjour agréable et rapport qualité prix correcte

UUsuario invitadoA very beautiful riad in the middle of medina, we are so happy to have stayed here. Mesmerising inner court, authentic-looking room, and a wonderful host Youssef, who is very welcoming and always ready to help.
We stayed in the end of December, so it wasn’t exactly warm in the room, and if there was a heater of some sort, that would be just perfect. But then again, it was the 4th riad in a row we stayed at, and it was the warmest of them all even without aircon or heater. With that being said, I’m sure the temperature would feel just perfect during spring, summer or autumn.
Thank you again to Youssef and the team, you left us a wonderful memory of Fes❤️
