We stayed here in 2021 - decent price, great location, but had some issues. Gave it a try this year and it has really gotten worse. Where do I begin. We checked in and got a pretty good room on the 5th floor. First thing we noticed was when you flushed the toilet and made a horrible sound that went on for about 3 or 4 minutes. We reported this immediately to the front desk and were told someone to take care of it. That never happened. I ended up fixing myself which lasted about 2 days and on the final night we were still dealing with a screaming toilet. Which meant you couldn't flush it during the evening or you would wake up somewhere. we were told if we need anything to call from the room. The phone in the room did not work. I'm pretty sure this is a violation of a fire code. The room needed cleaning, in fact the whole hotel needs a good cleaning. We had no cleaning service the entire three nights four days we stayed. We were told if you wanted clean towels or anything to go to the front desk. Half the time there was no one at the front desk and you had to look around for anything you wanted. They had no refills on cups, tissues, most things. The daily included breakfast got worse with each day. To call this breakfast is kind of a misnomer. One morning the coffee tasted like literally water run through dirty socks. When we reported these things to the front desk we kind of got a shrug and ”oh well, that's the way it is” kind of thing. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told someone would call me. That was 2 days ago. Aside from the location and a pretty good view, the hotel is more than disappointing. I got a good price on it but frankly looking back I would have paid more for a decent experience. As my wife put it, we would have had a better experience staying home, drinking our own coffee, and hanging out by our pool - the service and amenities are better. We always enjoy the Punta Gorda area and the people, this hotel not so much .

I stayed here for a quick girlfriend’s pickleball getaway and the location was great. Not far from the PicklePlex at all. 9 courts and there are more that are being built! It has great views of the Marina across the street (you can hear some road noise in the Marina rooms), water views over the bridge to Port Charlotte, and you can literally walk to the Tiki Hut for cocktails, music, and sunsets. Nicely laid out hotel and decent breakfast options in the morning. Friendly staff too. Fisherman’s Village is right down the road (driving) and just a neat town all the way around. Pizza Gorda is a definite authentic Italian pizza restaurant close by and a must!! Check out the Wyvern hotel for a beautiful rooftop cocktail and amazing views. This place is pet friendly as well, but not a lot of grass area, but great boardwalk access to walk your pet and you can take them to the the tiki hut too! They also have bikes for you to use. I would definitely stay here again.
