UUsuario invitadoThe majority of Changsha's attractions are located near Wuyi Square. It is prudent to book a hotel near this focus area. I booked this motel as it is a reputable hotel chain. It is located right beside Taiping Street, an old shopping alley since ancient times. The chain motel is now named Magnolio Hotel (Wuyi Square Branch).
Changsha was my last destination of my 10-day Hunan trip. I did not follow any travel agency and explore based on my research. When we arrived at Changsha from Fenghuang Ancient Town, I was shocked by the hot weather of 38 degrees. We were drenched with sweat and felt much better when in the cold air-conditioned lobby of the hotel. The fusion tea drinks at the lobby quenched much of our thirst.
The location of this hotel is superb. It is only 150 m from Exit 1 of Wuyi Square metro station. Seniors above 65 years old, including foreigners, enjoy free metro travel in Changsha. We just showed our passports and there is no second question asked, and the staff will open the gate for you to access the station. Thus, travelling to the airport via metro is also free. Wuyi Square is Line 2 station. From Wuyi Square, you can change to Line 6 at Yinbing Station and take the Line 6 train directly to Terminal 1 & 2 of Huanghua International Airport and free. The metro station also provided shelter from the heat, and I explored Huangxin Pedestrian Street and IFC mall via the metro exits.
The hotel receptionist informed me that they had upgraded my room to a bigger one for free. The toilet facilities and room are well renovated and clean though the room is still quite small. I stayed for 2 nights over here, and both me and my wife had wonderful sleep. There were also plenty of eateries and restaurants at the vicinity. Walmart is just 400 m away.
For travel to attractions, Orange Island is only just two stations away at 橘子洲 station along Line 2, and for Mount Yuelu, it is only one station away at 溁 湾 镇 站 from 橘子洲 station
For location, cleanliness, and staff responsiveness, I will give this hotel 10 points upon 10. Would like to thank Ms. Song for her hospitality and helpfulness.

UUsuario invitadoThis homestay is quite difficult to find, especially for international travelers who are unfamiliar with the area. It was unclear where to check in at first, and we had to ask the building’s information desk to help contact the owner before we could access the room. Fortunately, the owner was kind and helpful.
The room itself is spacious with plenty of space. There was a slight cigarette smell, which is common in some places in China, but the highlight is the beautiful river view. Although some buildings partially block the view, it is still very impressive.
This was our last night in China before returning home, and staying here became a very good memory.
Downstairs, there is a nearby park where you can take a walk and watch elderly locals doing their daily activities, which feels very authentic and enjoyable.
The location is convenient—close to a train station and easy to get to Orange Isle. Around the building, there are rice shops and cafés, so finding food is not a problem at all.
A good choice for travelers who value views and atmosphere, and don’t mind a bit of inconvenience during check-in.

YYxonMy trip got cut short due to family emergency but my parent stayed at Xiangyu Xiangyue Apartment not too long ago and recommended this place so I am writing this on their behalf as they did not had the chance to do it.
Location:
The location is excellent — right beside IFS and within walking distance to Taiping Street, Wuyi Square Station, shopping malls, food streets, cafés, and convenience stores. Super convenient for both day and night activities.
Apartment Condition:
The room was clean, modern, and spacious compared to standard hotel rooms. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and the air-conditioning worked well. The apartment comes with basic amenities like a small fridge and kettle, which is great for longer stays.
Building & Check-in:
Since it’s an apartment-style stay, the entrance is inside a commercial building. Check-in was smooth and the host provided clear instructions, but first-time visitors may need to look around a bit to find the correct lift lobby.
Service:
The host was responsive and polite. Communication was easy, and they were helpful when I needed directions and recommendations.
Noise Level:
Because it’s in the busiest part of Changsha, some street noise can be heard at night — typical for such a central location. If you’re sensitive, you may want to request a higher floor.
Overall:
A great choice if you want convenience, modern comfort, and a prime location right next to IFS. It’s ideal for travellers who enjoy shopping, nightlife, and easy access to transportation.

La actitud del servicio en la recepción fue muy buena. y las bebidas en el refrigerador eran gratis y me darían más después de que terminara de beber. JJuvieJLa entrada y el ascensor a la torre derecha fueron un poco difíciles de encontrar al principio, sobre todo para nosotros, que no entendíamos mucho chino y para cambiar de ascensor a otra torre es necesario. Habría sido útil tener instrucciones por escrito.
La habitación está bien, con el techo muy bajo, casi nos tocaba la cabeza. Era muy pequeña y no tan espaciosa ni bonita como en la foto.
Muchas marcas y arañazos en el suelo. La zona de la ducha no estaba limpia; aún quedaban pelos de la estancia anterior.
Nuestra lavadora estaba rota. No la pudieron arreglar en las tres noches que estuvimos allí. El técnico vino al segundo día y dejó el suelo sucio. Nos ofrecieron usar la lavadora en otra unidad, pero al no tener secadora, fue difícil.
Se fue la luz la primera mañana y no hubo luz durante unas tres o cuatro horas. Luego sonó el aviso de evacuación del edificio, dos veces esa mañana. Evacuamos, ya que es la norma en nuestro país. Más tarde nos dijeron que era solo una prueba. Habría sido mejor que nos informaran o que hubiera algún tipo de comunicación en el piso. Fue muy molesto, ya que tenemos niños pequeños. El simulacro de evacuación se repitió a la mañana siguiente. Entonces supimos que debíamos quedarnos.
Lo mejor de este apartamento es la ubicación. Cerca del bullicio está Changsha, con un montón de opciones para comer. Lo malo es que se oía música a todo volumen y se sentía la vibración de las discotecas cercanas hasta las 3 o 4 de la madrugada.

CCharil PanThe location of the place was convenient and easy to get around, which was a big plus for our stay.
However, there were a few downsides. The amenities were quite limited, and the place did not fully match the pictures shown in the listing. The water heater also took a very long time to heat up, which was inconvenient. Additionally, there was only one toilet shared among four people, which made things a bit uncomfortable at times. The bathtub does not have a shower head only a faucet thus not suitable for showering.
Table lamp was ridiculously long we could not share the dining table for takeaway meals and only 1 of the lightbulbs were working. Whole house was very dim overall nothing like the pictures.
Overall, the stay was acceptable mainly because of the location, but there is room for improvement to better match expectations.
