"Marvejols goes back to the 11th century and is a town rich in history. It was destroyed in the 16th century wars of religion and rebuilt by Henri IV in the early 17th century. It was the cradle of the Gevaudan textile industry. From its distant past, it has retained its three main gates framed by round towers.
