Ventajas: excelente ubicación // habitación con desayuno // colchón cómodo // Desventajas: aparcamiento muy limitado: 14 plazas para 100 habitaciones // muy mala insonorización // habitación de lujo sin ventana con luz natural // la habitación no tenía cobertura, había que conectarse al wifi // ¡Pedimos una botella de agua al servicio de limpieza y nos pidieron que llamáramos a recepción antes de poder dárnosla! ¡¿Qué?! // La tetera estaba muy sucia // No lo recomiendo si viajas en coche, a menos que no te importe buscar aparcamiento. -Fin-

El servicio de recepción fue excelente: el personal hablaba mandarín y fue muy servicial y amable. La limpieza de la habitación solo se realizaba si se solicitaba proactivamente para prolongar la estancia. Las toallas de la habitación eran nuevas, y la ropa de cama y el colchón eran muy cómodos. La falta de café y bolsitas de té fue una pequeña decepción. En el vestíbulo se vende una variedad de productos, ¡lo cual es muy práctico!

¡Este hotel es una maravilla! Su arquitectura retro de estilo Nanyang, desde el vestíbulo hasta los pasillos y la terraza, rebosa de estilo; cada rincón es fotogénico. Nuestras dos familias tomaron más de cien fotos dentro del hotel, sin necesidad de buscar un buen lugar afuera. La habitación también superó nuestras expectativas: limpia, ordenada y acogedora, con ropa de cama cómoda y una excelente presión de agua en la ducha. Tuvimos una estancia muy confortable. La ubicación es inmejorable: está a pocos pasos de la calle Jonker, y a solo unos minutos girando a la derecha se encuentra Jonker Walk, lo que facilita enormemente explorar el mercado nocturno, disfrutar de la gastronomía local y hacer un crucero nocturno, ahorrándote la molestia de tomar taxis. Si visitas Malaca, te recomiendo encarecidamente alojarte aquí: podrás disfrutar de la tranquilidad del antiguo estilo Nanyang en el hotel mientras te sumerges fácilmente en el vibrante ambiente de la calle Jonker. Excelente relación calidad-precio; ¡sin duda volveré a elegir este hotel la próxima vez!

La primera noche fue emocionante: sonó la alarma de incendios a las 3 de la madrugada. Nos dijeron que solo había un incendio en una habitación, pero no recibimos ninguna información del hotel al día siguiente ni en el momento. Tuvimos que volver a la habitación dos horas después. Las habitaciones son magníficas.

Viajando sola, este lugar me pareció un refugio maravilloso del bullicio. Salí a caminar alrededor de las 6 de la mañana, disfrutando de la tranquilidad de las callejuelas. La calle principal está a menos de 10 minutos a pie. Quedé muy satisfecha con la ubicación. La habitación era pequeña pero limpia, e incluso tenía secador de pelo. La recepcionista, una señora muy amable y simpática, me recibió con mucha calidez. Como tenía que tomar un autobús nocturno de regreso a Tailandia y tuve que dejar la habitación temprano, me invitó amablemente a alojarme aquí de nuevo la próxima vez que visite Malasia. Me encanta el ambiente sencillo y sin pretensiones de Malaca, ¡y sin duda volveré!

I stayed at AAVA Malacca Hotel during my trip to Malacca and here’s my honest impression. Pros: The location is excellent — right next to Jonker Street and the riverside promenade, perfect for exploring the city’s highlights on foot. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of hot water available for showers. The interior design reflects a charming Peranakan (Nyonya) style, which adds cultural character to the stay. Cons: Bathroom amenities are limited to a single 3-in-1 product, which may not suit all guests. No slippers are provided, which can be inconvenient. The hotel does not have an elevator, so carrying luggage upstairs can be difficult. Check-in timing was not punctual. Although the booking stated rooms would be available at 3:00 PM, I only received mine at 3:30 PM. Overall Impression: AAVA Malacca Hotel is a solid choice if you value location, spacious rooms, and cultural décor. It’s especially convenient for travelers who want to be close to Jonker Street and the riverside. However, guests should be prepared for some practical shortcomings, including limited amenities, no elevator, and occasional delays at check-in.

The location is great, just a few doors away from the BaBa House which just happen to be a lot more renovated and furnished and they charged $250 for the same period i stayed in at Hereen Palm Suites which cost me $105 via Trip.com. It is just 3 minutes walk to Jonker Street and is on the quieter side so you dont get bothered by car traffic and human yet is convenient enough to all the shops and eateries. The whole place has only 10 suites and the rooms are HUGE and clean. Bathroom is huge and water pressure is great and heater works very well, if i am to be picky, it will be complete if they have a bathtub and they should install some toilet hangers for the clothes when you shower. The room aircon is via concealed vents , so its well distributed compared to a standalone FCU unit. Aside from teh bed there is also a daybed in the room, which is comfy and great for lazing and watching the TV. The only flaw i can pick is the mini fridge was not working in my room. Outside of the room, i wish they can open the window in the common area/ corridor, as all the internal space are really not ventiated and they dont turn on the A/C, so you cannot really enjoy the common spaces. Overall, its super value for money and breakfast provided was quite good spread and tasty enough, no complains given that its complimentary. I would give it 8/10 rating.

One of the staff, William, was very helpful and even recommended good food spots around the area. He also kindly helped me find a spare charger when I realised I had forgotten to bring mine. It is best to stay on Level 1, as there is refillable alkaline filtered water available in both hot and cold options. The room I stayed in had an issue with the door, as it would not close properly when left to shut on its own. I could smell cigarette smoke even the air con is not centralized type.

Overall is great! However there is a few to improve: 1. The sink draining very slowly and water flow is not smooth. 2. The bidet needs to be tightly turned off, otherwise it keeps dripping 3. Previously it was not fully closed, which caused leakage and resulted in water accumulating on the floor. Aside than this, it will be great if the hotel could provide cutlery. We were ordered supper at night and there is totally no cutlery which is very surprising to us and luckily we ordered satay and try to use the stick as chopsticks to finished our food. Hotel staff does not try to solve our issue at the first point when i asked if there is any cutlery and she asked me to try to check out outside the hotel. This does make me feel a bit disappointed.
