Second time here and still enjoying. Just one night there and can totally relax and turn off from worries. Staff is so nice and view from every point is incredible. Beach is clean and villas are so adorable.

Maravilloso hotel justo en la playa. El personal encantador y las habitaciones eran muy cómodas. Buena piscina. El restaurante también es muy bueno. Ubicación conveniente para el pueblo principal y otras playas.

El servicio del personal de traslados fue muy bueno. Hay dos tipos de embarcaciones (lancha rápida y bote lento) y los horarios varían según la temporada. Habíamos reservado una habitación Deluxe Premium. Al llegar demasiado temprano al muelle, fuimos al hotel en el bote lento. Al irnos, tuvimos una lancha rápida privada para nuestra familia, sin necesidad de preocuparnos por nada durante todo el trayecto. Sin embargo, el servicio del personal *dentro del hotel* no fue bueno. Después de hacernos el check-in, nos dejaron solos; lo normal sería que nos acompañaran a la habitación, nos mostraran las instalaciones y nos dieran las indicaciones, ¿no? Solo nos ofrecieron una bebida; una vez terminada, se llevaron el vaso sin preguntar si queríamos reponer. Al hacer el check-out a las 12:00 PM, tuvimos que esperar hasta las 13:45 PM para nuestro barco, pasando más de una hora en el vestíbulo sin que nadie nos ofreciera ni un vaso de agua. El desayuno era deficiente. Este nivel de servicio no justifica un precio de 1300 por noche. Las instalaciones del hotel eran estándar. El restaurante ofrecía un espectáculo de fuego y la playa de arena blanca estaba justo en la puerta. Sin embargo, la calidad del agua en Koh Samet no era buena. El servicio de Ctrip fue excelente, organizaron la habitación exactamente según lo solicitado.

Después de la reserva, los escribí sobre Trip.com, pero nunca tuve una respuesta. Cuando fuimos allí personalmente para preguntar el día antes de la entrada, la dama del front desk se retiró mi teléfono de mi mano sin preguntar, para “verificar la reserva”. En el primer piso, en el frente de una piscina, se ha llegado a una habitación amplia, con el baño dividido en tres secciones. En el cuarto de baño, la ventana no puede abrirse, y no hay ventilador. Hay una caja de seguridad, un saco de playa, dos paraguas, un refrigerador, una caldera e incluso una máquina Nespresso. No obstante, aunque hay dos tazas y dos vasos, hay sólo una cápsula de Americano y una cápsula de Espresso, y tienes que comprar el agua, bastante caro, en el bar. La cama estaba mojada, por lo que despertamos la mañana siguiente, nos sentíamos como si estuviéramos dormidos en la playa. En la habitación siguiente, la gran televisión estaba peligrosamente desapareciendo de su stand de 360°, y el balcón estaba sucio, con sólo el baño sin lugar a ducha, tienen pocos empleados y muchos gerentes, y los empleados hacen lo que pueden por muchas horas al día. Las opciones de desayuno son muy limitadas para las personas con una dieta vegetal. Las toallas de playa no siempre están disponibles en la zona de piscina. Sin embargo, la playa de arena blanca es fácilmente accesible, y hay muchas mantequillas y aves alrededor de la propiedad. Es muy romántico y natural.

Lovely resort and the rooms are so aesthetically beautiful, the resort is located in main beach, Sai Kaew beach and so convenient that 7-eleven and restaurants are in walking distance. Also very near to Nadan pier as well. Have to give additional 200 bahts if you use bath tap. Overall, good stay here.

En primer lugar, el entorno es bueno, y los camareros también son buenos, especialmente para ayudar a los camareros que se desplazan a submarinos. Bonito dúplex de dos niveles. Dos camas tamaño queen en el nivel superior, con puerta corrediza de cristal y aire acondicionado propio. Sofá cama doble grande y televisor enorme en la planta baja. Nevera y hervidor de agua. Ducha y aseo separados. Una pequeña zona de estar común justo afuera. Los propietarios se comunicaron muy bien y fueron muy serviciales. Alquilamos una moto por 300.

Saikaew Villa 65 is less than a 5 minute walk from the songthiaw drop off to get to the accommodation, after the 10 minute taxi ride from Ban Phe pier. We booked 3 Superior Twin rooms for family but the rooms were definitely not 'superior'. The rooms lacked any finesse, with a broken lampshade, gaps under the doors for mozzies to get in, a broken light in the bathroom and a leaking sink pipe, dodgy fridge connection and dead batteries in the aircon remote. The room itself was clean and the service for room cleaning was good, but the surrounding area around the rooms was dilapidated, with broken down storage buildings, remnants of building works and rubbish bags and cleaning equipment on display in the walkways each day. There was a definite lack of attention to detail. It was backpacker style but not with a backpacker price tag. I booked the rooms on a balcony, with a view of the courtyard garden, but there was nowhere to sit outside the room, no chairs provided, just small tables. The location is very good, a minute or so walk away from the beach. The attached restaurant, 'Joe's', was very efficiently run and the service there was excellent (thank you to the waiting staff, who were very friendly and helpful). For 60 baht for the day, a deckchair could be rented with an umbrella right on the sea front, and the restaurant staff provided towels for the deckchairs when asked. If you plan on spending little time in your rooms, and you don't mind the outside appearance of the accommodation, then Sai Kaew 65 is a great place to base yourself for all that Sai Kaew and Koh Samed has to offer.

The most important thing about this place is its owner. Alex is a wonderful and friendly local islander. He truly puts his heart into what he does and does everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. Have a problem? Just talk to Alex and he’ll do his best to help. Need advice? Ask Alex! I think the main idea is clear As for the place itself, it’s calm and quiet, yet close to the central part of the island where all the main shops are located. The beach is a 3-minute walk away, another one is about 5 minutes away — everything is nearby. The hotel has its own bar and a private area, peaceful and relaxing. The main issue is mosquitoes, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault — after all, there’s nature right behind the fence, and a very unusual one at that. We even saw a giant stick insect on the property for the first time ever, lol 🙂 The bungalow has all the basic essentials: a bed, air conditioning, a toilet, a shower, and a kettle. It might be nice to have a wardrobe or some storage for clothes, but that’s just a small nitpick. If you’re not picky and don’t need five-star service, but appreciate a warm and genuine welcome, I can highly recommend this place!
