Our overall experience in Taj Coral Reef was fabulous barring a few glitches everything was just excellent. Staff @ Taj is the best & they take exceptional care of you and family. It was our 25th Anniversary and we were there for a 5 night vacation with an all-inclusive package and stayed in a water villa. Our Check in was seamless, we landed at the other end of the resort due to choppy weather and were given a traditional welcome and directly ushered to our villa. Our Villa was spacious, neat and luxurious with well-appointed living area, bathroom with a massive tub facing the sea, a deck with beach chairs with direct access to the water from the deck. We were a family of 4 with 2 kids and could easily be accommodated in the water villa. We had taken the all-inclusive package and hence no restrictions on what you can eat or drink which was the best part as it allowed us to try many things. Food quality in the reef bar was excellent and we really enjoyed our first lunch. We visited the dive in center the next morning and were met by Lea who really took lot of effort in explaining how we should go about snorkeling as this was our first experience. We took the guided session which was the best decision as if you have not snorkeled before this is the best way to learn and enjoy the experience. Sam and Chicko were assigned as our coaches / guides for the session. You get the snorkeling equipment for the duration of your stay and they started our training in the pool area for us to get comfortable. A call out for Sam who took exceptional care of my kids and us and was patient to explain and train us before we ventured in the open sea. The experience post the coaching session was amazing. Since the resort is on a natural reef the marine life is simply beautiful and we were able to spot amazing marine life including “Nemo”. The entire experience energized us and gave us confidence to try more. Post this we snorkeled every day on our own. Since the weather was rough we used to wait for the tide and wind to settle and snorkel late afternoon and return directly to our villa deck from the open sea which was a great experience. Last day of our visit the weather was not great and we once again took services of the guide to help our kids enjoy. Lea was very helpful and accommodative she took my kids for a very long session and they enjoyed snorkeling for nearly an hour. This is something my family will never forget as its etched in our memories. Dive in center is a must visit for all and you should try out various things they can do for you. Since our interest was snorkeling we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you, Lea, Sam and Chicko for taking care of us. Food and dining experience. There are 3 restaurants in the resort.
