We only had two days in Manila for the grand finale of our honeymoon before heading back to China. The vibe? Total luxury. We crashed at Discovery Primea, right in the heart of Makati. Our room was spacious, super comfy, and the 24/7 room service was basically a honeymoon dream come true 😂. Just outside the hotel, you're spoiled for choice: a lush park for morning strolls, tons of restaurants, and a massive shopping mall (Glorietta Mall, Ayala Center, Makati—open daily from 10AM to 9PM). We hit up the supermarket inside for a Filipino snacks haul, so our suitcase was loaded with local goodies for the trip home. Why we liked it: - Perfect central location—steps from cafes, shops, and all the action - Rooms are big and super comfy, with ultra-soft beds - Everything is spotless! Clean and fresh vibes everywhere - Loads of restaurants around Discovery Primea—just stroll and pick whatever looks tempting - Stock up on Filipino snacks at Glorietta Mall for the perfect souvenir 📌 Tips - Grab rides are easy and safe—plus, you can pay with Alipay - Don’t stress over the service in some spots, just chase the good food! - Discovery Primea is super convenient for both exploring Makati and chilling out - Double check your bill for extra charges at hotels or restaurants, just in case

We arrived earlier than expected so we weren't sure if we could check in yet but we were able to do early check-in which was awesome. We stayed from July 19 to July 23 of 2026 They prepared a small amentity cake for us when they were informed we were traveling to celebrate us. At the front desk, everyone greeted us warmly and helped us a lot throughout our stay. Concierge left us a little confused because they struggled to answer back in English and gave us the wrong information on where to buy sim cards. We had the breakfast package for two. You were given meal cards that you had to present when you went to eat breakfast. Once you do, the lovely servers would guide you to a table and asked if you would like any coffee or tea. They would walk around and clear any empty plates to make sure you don't feel crowded at the table. We ordered drinks at the pool bar and the bartender was lovely to talk to. Despite it being just us there he welcomed us to the hotel and asked what we wished to do in Makati. Once we talked about food he began talking about many restaurants around the hotel that he believed we would enjoy. Please give him our thanks because we went to the restaurant (Manam) he recommended for good Filipino food and we absolutely loved it! The security at the hotel was very friendly and made sure everyone was safe and okay. Overall, our stay was fantastic and would recommend any of our friends and families to stay at the Makati Diamond Residents!

Tengo que trasladarme en Manila a Palau. Tomé un taxi amarillo desde el aeropuerto por la noche (costaba 400 pesos, de los cuales 60 pesos eran propina para el conductor) hasta el hotel. Me dieron una habitación en el piso más alto con vista al jardín triangular. La habitación tenía sido renovado. El vestíbulo es muy grande y el desayuno está bien. Cuando reservé la habitación, costaba más de 1.100 yuanes y no se podía cancelar (pero si gastas 66 yuanes con Zhongan Insurance, puedes cancelar sin motivo y obtener un reembolso del 90%). Me alegró ver que Ctrip tenía Aumentó el precio a más de 1.700 yuanes ese día. La seguridad en Manila no fue tan terrible como imaginábamos, también tomamos un taxi Grab para visitar la ciudad vieja y la bahía de Manila, y luego volamos a Palau por la noche. Al final no pude coger un taxi hasta el aeropuerto del casco antiguo, así que tuve que coger el tren ligero hasta la estación más cercana al aeropuerto (a 3 kilómetros del aeropuerto), entonces no me quedó más remedio que gastar 200 pesos en un triciclo para ir al aeropuerto fue una aventura muy interesante.

Fue una buena estadía, aunque tuvimos que cambiar de habitación debido a un problema con el aire acondicionado. Además, la mucama no hizo un buen trabajo limpiando la habitación las últimas 2 noches. La ubicación es buena. El personal de recepción es muy amable, excepto por el personal llamado Molly (nos dio una reacción facial de enojo), no obstante, recomendamos a Sam y Charisse.

I had an exceptional stay at Ascott Makati. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Makati with direct access to Glorietta Mall, making shopping, dining, and exploring the city incredibly convenient. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very well-maintained. I especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living space, which made it feel like a home away from home. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive, ensuring everything stayed spotless throughout my stay. The staff went above and beyond in every interaction. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the efficient service at breakfast, everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The amenities are top-notch, with a relaxing pool, well-equipped gym, and great dining options. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices, all fresh and delicious. Overall, Ascott Makati delivers the perfect balance of comfort, luxury, and convenience. Whether for business or leisure, I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely choose it again on my next visit to Manila.

Nosotros reservamos un segundo día debido a que teníamos nuestro viaje de retorno a las 3 am. Reservamos este día adicional con la intención de descansar un poco antes de nuestro viaje. Este segundo día lo reservamos en una habitación más económica ya que pasaríamos solo unas cuantas horas. Sabemos que el cambio de precio de habitación requeriría cambiar de habitación por lo que nos acercamos a recepción para consultar si ellos pueden cambiar nuestra cosas ya que nosotros saldríamos a recorrer la ciudad un poco. Las personas en recepción nos comentaron que no era necesario cambiarnos de habitación y activaron nuestra tarjeta de ingreso nuevamente Para nuestra sorpresa en la noche, cuando regresamos al hotel, recibimos una llamada de recepción solicitando un pago adicional. Solicitamos que se comuniquen con la persona de recepción quien nos comentó que no era necesario cambiar nuestra habitación ya que solo la usaríamos algunas horas pero de una manera muy fría nos dijeron que ellos no nos pueden ayudar ya que su jefe y la persona que nos permitió quedarnos en la misma habitación no están presentes y que la única opción era pagar Pasamos el poco tiempo que teníamos para descansar al teléfono discutiendo con la recepcionista y ella no nos supo ayudar de una manera agradable. Incluso sentimos que no nos creía por lo que solicitamos revisar las cámaras de seguridad para que pueda ver que efectivamente nosotros nos acercamos a pedir cambio de habitación y en donde se podría ver que la recepcionista activa nuevamente nuestra tarjeta de ingreso pero de igual manera se negó

Spa was mediocre. They need to improve on customer experience. Massage room too cold and no way to adjust temperature. No heated bed. Had to ask for more towels to keep me warm. Didn’t smell like a spa. Little musty. Therapist was good though. The rooms are well appointed and very spacious. Complete with kitchen in a 2BR Suite. Bathtub too high for short people and may cause accidents. There’s a washer dryer combo that technically only washed clothes and kept clothes damp. The dryer was not efficient and we checked out with still damp clothes. 3 associates came to the room and tried to solve the problem. Their suggestion was to wash the clothes again so it will trigger the dry cycle. Never worked. Waste of time and energy. Dryer should dry clothes. Period. Breakfast selection was good. Saw a little cockroach walk around the sushi area. 😲 The area can get so much traffic. Kalayaan Ave can get crazy busy. Give enough time and clear directions for your Grab diver if you want to make your appointments on time. OVERALL GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY!

★★★★☆ 4.2/5 Prince Plaza II Condotel is one of those places that knows exactly what it is and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Its greatest strength is undoubtedly its location. Situated in the heart of Makati and just a block away from Ayala Avenue, it strikes a pleasant balance between accessibility and quiet. You’re close enough to be in the middle of everything, yet tucked away from the busiest streets. Greenbelt, countless restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and shopping options are literally just a short walk away. For travelers looking to unwind after a long day, there are several massage establishments nearby, and even in-house massage services are available, making it particularly convenient for guests staying a few days or longer. The building itself is undeniably old. Not neglected, not unsafe, and certainly not dilapidated—but old in the way many well-built structures are. You can tell it has decades behind it. In fact, it feels like one of those older buildings that have simply endured better than some newer developments. If you’re expecting sleek contemporary aesthetics, this may not be your first choice. If you’re primarily interested in practicality and location, the age becomes less important. The elevator situation deserves mention. During my stay, only one elevator was operational while another was undergoing upgrades. The functioning elevator is manually operated and has a charmingly old-school character—including a ceiling fan. Surprisingly, it was more efficient than elevators in some much newer buildings I’ve visited. Guests simply contact reception when they need the elevator to stop at their floor. It sounds unusual on paper but worked smoothly in practice. The room itself was exactly what I needed: clean, comfortable, and functional. The shower, toilet, and sink were all well-maintained with reliable water pressure and both hot and cold water available. The air-conditioning cooled the room effectively, Wi-Fi was dependable, and the television offered a respectable selection of channels. I also appreciated the practical amenities: a stove with kitchen ventilation, microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, and an in-room safety box. The windows face the courtyard side of the property, allowing natural daylight into the room. The staff were professional, courteous, and efficient throughout my stay. If your priority is finding a safe, convenient, and comfortable place to rest while spending most of your time exploring Makati, I would happily recommend Prince Plaza II Condotel. In fact, given its location and room amenities, it could also work quite well for longer stays.

La ubicación del hotel es muy conveniente. Hay un 7-11 al lado y hay muchos restaurantes al otro lado de la calle. Es muy fácil comer. La habitación es relativamente antigua y se ve que ha envejecido durante mucho tiempo. Pero a este precio, en realidad está bien. Justo abajo está Bar Street, donde la vida nocturna es bastante rica. Si desea alojarse en Makati y desea una buena ubicación y un alojamiento económico, vale la pena visitar este hotel de Oxford.
