The spread is varied and well executed, with a wide selection of dishes catering to different tastes, making it a satisfying start to the day rather than a perfunctory offering. A welcome drink accompanied by live music is a thoughtful touch and a genuine bonus. It creates a relaxed first impression and sets a positive tone for the stay. Above all, New World Hotel Makati delivers solid value, comfort, and a few well-judged extras that elevate the experience beyond the ordinary.

For a 5 star hotel, the service is very annoying. They would call me randomly to ask for feedback a few hours after I checked in. They would knock on my door early in the morning while I'm still sleeping to do a ”room check”... On the day of my check out, I had a knock on the door a bit past 9am, I ignored it as I was still in bed but they kept ringing the bell. I finally got up and the lady asked ”is there anything I can help with?”. Yes leave me alone. I went back to bed to rest and then got a phone call soon after as a reminder that check out is at 12pm. It's not even 10am yet and your staff already interrupted my sleep twice. Trying to get the room clean involves multiple phone calls. Once I left it to see how long it would take but at 6pm, I had to call since they never came during the day. Another time they cleaned, the cleaners said they ran out of towels so there would be someone who would deliver soon. I forgot about it until we went to have a shower and then it took almost an hour for the towels to arrive so we had to wait to use the bathroom as they took away the dirty towels so we didn't have anything to dry ourselves. Don't order room service. The food is very bad. I actually gagged on a drink they prepared. The TV is very old, they are still using cable technology. WiFi is patchy. Trying to get up and down the lift is a nightmare if you come at the wrong time as the line gets backed up all the way out into the street. My girlfriend was stopped by over eager security staff when she was trying to leave to buy some snacks as the room service meals were so bad even tho she had a room key and they would not let her up to the lobby on the 6th floor without me. Instead, I had to go down and pick her up from the ground floor where she was sitting in the corner like she was in trouble.

Tuve una estancia excelente en este hotel. La habitación era espaciosa, impecable y bien cuidada. El personal brindó un servicio excepcional: amables, atentos y siempre sonrientes. El desayuno era variado y fresco. El hotel también está cerca de restaurantes y atracciones principales. ¡Muy recomendable!

Este fue mi hotel favorito en Filipinas. Hasta el último viaje, cuando nos culparon por fumar en la habitación, algo que el personal claramente te dice que puedes hacer en el balcón. Al hacer el check out, vieron una colilla de cigarrillo en el bote de basura y luego me cobraron diez mil pesos adicionales. Al preguntar por la política sobre fumar, en ninguna parte se indica que la habitación no puede tener colillas de cigarrillos y cosas de esa naturaleza dentro de los contenedores de basura. Después de preguntar al personal sobre la multa, el personal me dijo constantemente que podía fumar en el balcón, pero no en la habitación. Pero luego siguieron acusándome de fumar en la habitación, a pesar de que el detector de humo no se activó. Pensé frente a ellos sobre el problema. Y me dejaron sentado en el vestíbulo durante más de una hora y media para que un gerente se comunicara conmigo. Las habitaciones también carecen de ciertos elementos que afirman. Algunas tienen lavadoras y otras no. Tenga cuidado con el baño y la ducha, son geniales. Alto y súper peligroso para subir y bajar. No estoy seguro de quién lo diseñó, pero necesitan volver y mirar la arquitectura. Por alguna razón, la primera vez que he visto en mis cuarenta años de vida, alguien decidió poner la cerradura del baño en la parte inferior de la puerta. No estoy seguro de qué decidieron lograr con esto, pero incluso cuando intenté cerrar la puerta con llave, se podía desbloquear. Sin embargo, las vistas son hermosas y la piscina de abajo es bastante agradable. Sin embargo, el spa apesta, porque tienes que tomar 2 viajes en ascensor para llegar a donde vas corriendo por el hotel en bata de baño... La habitación niega y el diseño es bueno. Ruido hablado, pero con los problemas recientes con una multa de diez mil pesos Sin culpa nuestra y el personal dejándome colgado mientras huía y no enfrentaba el problema. No me volveré a quedar en Oakwood.

En general, todavía estoy satisfecho con este hotel ya que la ubicación es muy estratégica, hay muchos restaurantes, bares bistró y pubs cerca en un radio de 10 minutos a pie. Solo es necesario mejorar la limpieza de la habitación, me estaba quedando en el estudio de la habitación king, pero la alfombra estaba muy sucia, el resto es aceptable.

Situated in the heart of Makati and just a block away from Ayala Avenue, it strikes a pleasant balance between accessibility and quiet. You’re close enough to be in the middle of everything, yet tucked away from the busiest streets. Greenbelt, countless restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and shopping options are literally just a short walk away. For travelers looking to unwind after a long day, there are several massage establishments nearby, and even in-house massage services are available, making it particularly convenient for guests staying a few days or longer. The building itself is undeniably old. Not neglected, not unsafe, and certainly not dilapidated—but old in the way many well-built structures are. You can tell it has decades behind it. In fact, it feels like one of those older buildings that have simply endured better than some newer developments. If you’re expecting sleek contemporary aesthetics, this may not be your first choice. If you’re primarily interested in practicality and location, the age becomes less important. The elevator situation deserves mention. During my stay, only one elevator was operational while another was undergoing upgrades. The functioning elevator is manually operated and has a charmingly old-school character—including a ceiling fan. Surprisingly, it was more efficient than elevators in some much newer buildings I’ve visited. Guests simply contact reception when they need the elevator to stop at their floor. It sounds unusual on paper but worked smoothly in practice. The room itself was exactly what I needed: clean, comfortable, and functional. The shower, toilet, and sink were all well-maintained with reliable water pressure and both hot and cold water available. The air-conditioning cooled the room effectively, Wi-Fi was dependable, and the television offered a respectable selection of channels. I also appreciated the practical amenities: a stove with kitchen ventilation, microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, and an in-room safety box. The windows face the courtyard side of the property, allowing natural daylight into the room. The staff were professional, courteous, and efficient throughout my stay. If your priority is finding a safe, convenient, and comfortable place to rest while spending most of your time exploring Makati, I would happily recommend Prince Plaza II Condotel. In fact, given its location and room amenities, it could also work quite well for longer stays.

Las instalaciones de la casa son muy antiguas, el saneamiento también es muy aleatorio, el aire no es bueno y hay mucho ruido, lo que dificulta dormir por la noche. ¡Pero la actitud de servicio de la señora de la recepción es muy buena! ¡Esto es lo único digno de elogio! ¡La señorita es muy dulce!
