We checked into this hotel expecting the room to look like the photos advertised on their website. In reality, it did not. We were booked into Room 12 which is in the basement of the hotel. The room had a damp and musty smell. The bathroom door hit the edge of one of the beds when you opened and closed it. One of the teacups had tea stains in it. The window in the bathroom did not have a curtain and although there it was frosted, you could see the hotel workers sitting across the way when they were having their break. If you were taking a shower, they could probably see into the bathroom. There was mold in the bathroom shower stall. The worst thing in this room was the large emergency LED trouble light which was about 24 inches long and so bright it lit the room up like a neon sign when you were trying to sleep. To the hotel's credit, I talked to the owner and the maintenance person about how dissatisfied we were with the accommodation and the next morning we were switched to Room 103 on the main floor. They apologized for the inconvenience and the condition of Room 12. The room was much more spacious and the bathroom double the size. There was a large window in the room that opened on one side and the other side could be opened too but the handle to crank the window had broken and fallen onto the ground outside. The room looked out towards a lane and a row of garbage cans. There was still some mold in this shower stall but it was nowhere as bad as Room 12 in the basement. This hotel was booked fully the whole time we were there. I think the biggest draw for this hotel is the proximity to the Byres Road which is near the Botanic Gardens. It is located in the West End, which is lined with boutique shops, bakeries, pubs, and eateries. For the price we paid, it was definitely not worth it. I am shocked that it has had rave reviews but I guess the location trumps everything else. If you book this hotel, call them and try to avoid any rooms in the basement if you can. Also, this hotel does not have an elevator and if you have mobility issues, the stairs are quite steep.

Primer viaje después del confinamiento por el covid19: a visitar Escocia. Conozco y me alojé en los EasyHotel de Liverpool y Manchester y dentro de lo básicos que son, me parecieron aceptables. El de Glasgow no vale la pena. La ubicación no es mala: como todos los de esta cadena es céntrica y muy cerca de todo. Pero pese a tener una habitación doble con ventana para mi sola, el baño es minúsculo, sin mampara ni algún borde que contenga el agua de la ducha (los de Liverpool y Manchester la tienen) y peor aún es que la ventana no se puede abrir y no hay ningún tipo de ventilación. Así que en agosto, cuando se llega después de todo el día recorriendo, es como entrar a un horno. Aunque afuera el clima no esté caluroso. Creo que por una tarifa un poco mayor es posible aloj**** en un hotel más cómodo y donde al menos la ventana pueda abrirse...

La ubicación del hotel es una zona tranquila, no lejos del centro de la ciudad, y es conveniente ir a la calle peatonal. El personal de servicio es más entusiasta, el desayuno es más abundante y la variedad es más completa. El grifo de agua fría y caliente del lavabo es independiente y no se usa mucho. La experiencia general es mejor.

Perfect location surrounded by a lot of restaurants and pubs. A nearby bus stop to go to the airport. The room was not 100% clean and the furniture looked a bit old. Sometimes it was a bit noisy as you can hear clearly when others walked and talked in the hallway but I didn’t mind so much as the prices were very reasonable! I didn’t try the breakfast but the area looked very comfy!

Estaba aquí por una noche para asistir a una gig. Primera noche a la casada sin el bebé! El hotel es muy fácil de encontrar una excelente ubicación. La recepción 24 horas fue agradable ya que no volvimos de la gig hasta muy tarde. La habitación era muy confortable y el baño estaba absolutamente sin lugar a dudas. Perfectly located from Central Station with loads of pubs, cafés & restaurants within a 5 minute radius. Nearby shops to suit every taste& budget too. My only complaint was not realising there is no hairdryer in the room after I'd taken a fabulous shower & washed my hair. Luckily it was a nice warm day so my hair dried naturally reasonably quickly. We visited Bier Halle close by and loved it. We're already planning our next booking for this Travel lodge soon.
