Pros: Very modern and well-equipped hotel. Comfortable bed with an excellent mattress. Room was spotlessly clean. Excellent shower with large rainfall shower head and shampoo etc provided. Tea, water, kettle and a small tea set provided. Excellent lighting, including different settings for working / reading / warm evening lighting etc. Plenty of space in the room for luggage and moving around comfortably. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Location not bad - just across the road from a mall with lots of restaurants, and a few minutes walk from bus stops or the metro. Cons: I booked a non-smoking room, and although the room itself was fine there were still people smoking in the corridor directly outside my room. I felt quite uncomfortable as a woman travelling alone hearing men's voices directly outside my room late at night as they were chatting while smoking by the window (there was a cigarette bin just by the elevators / window, which essentially made the space outside my room the default smoking spot on my floor). I also saw some workers smoking in the hotel lobby. I mentioned this to the front desk staff and they didn't seem to understand the problem with people smoking inside the public areas of the hotel. I gave a low score for ”cleanliness” to reflect this smoking issue and second hand smoke health risk, rather than due to any cleanliness issues in terms of hygiene. Additionally, my room was right next to the elevator, so I was woken several times each night by people using the elevator (which was very loud). Finally, the room came with a ”smart toilet” but this was really not good at all! All it did was half open automatically every time I moved nearby (very annoying when I was using the sink to brush my teeth etc) or flush automatically while I was still sitting on it, and the bidet didn't seem to be working (perhaps the bidet function wasn't actually installed?).

We have been in 2 other countries in asia before, but this was by far our best hotel! We stayed with family and where immediately greeted with a warm cup of tea. We had a lot of questions to begin with and needed a driver for the rest of our trip, and the cordial service manager was so helpful and she even organized an all inclusive driver for us. Also Linda & Ashley from the hotel team helped us to the maximum extend and even stayed in contact with us via wechat, even though we already left Fuzhou, just to make sure that our trip is going smoothly and we can enjoy a great time in beautiful China. It is just excellent and outstanding service! The hotel itself is located directly on the west side of the UNESCO world heritage site of Sanfang Qixiang and when you turn right after exiting the main lobby you enter the site. The hotel is built in the same style and flair of Sanfang Qixiang ”The Beverly Hills of China” and has a lot of ambiance and elegance to it. Thanks to the 24/7 reception I was even able to get two ice packs for my swollen foot late at night There is also a coffee machine in the lobby that serves great coffee and tea and infused water and the breakfast is one floor down and has tasty vegetarian buffet. Also in the room you are greated with a tea set and a plate of fresh fruits local to the region. We were even able to send post cards from the hotel reception. Just a stellar experience! If you decide to see the beautiful cultural heritage site, then I can whole-heartedly recommend the San Po Hotel / Sanbaobindi Hotel in Fuzhou!! You will not regret it.

Lovely experience. We checked in real late at 1030pm and still managed to walk to a nearby night market for supper. The rooms are clean and service staff very friendly and professional. Extra bed was already arranged when we arrived, which was fantastic.

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even before my arrival. They tried to contact me in advance, but as a foreign guest, I do not have a Chinese phone number. It would be more convenient if the hotel could ask for guests’ WeChat IDs through the Trip.com messenger instead. Upon arrival, the staff created a WeChat group and added me in, which turned out to be very helpful. Through the group, they assisted with all kinds of questions, such as recommended places to visit, how to rent an e-bike, and where to eat nearby. The responsiveness and service were excellent. The room was awesome — very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the view was fantastic. I also really loved the projector screen in the room, which allowed me to watch WeTV shows and other content. It made relaxing in the room even more enjoyable. The hotel provides e-bike rentals, which is a great feature. However, I was personally under-geared for the weather. It rained the day before, and the entire day was cloudy with temperatures around 11°C. The sea breeze was very strong and cold, especially when riding the e-bike with the wind blowing directly at you. Proper winter gear is definitely needed in such conditions. If the hotel could provide glove and jacket rentals, that would be an amazing improvement. In the evening, the staff even brought a small gift to the room. The gift was thoughtful and practical, and I really liked it — it was a warm and welcoming gesture that made the stay feel extra special. Breakfast was okay. Guests are seated on Level 2, and the meal is served to the table. As I come from a place where some Chinese do not consume beef, it would be great if there were options such as chicken or beef. That said, the beef noodles were actually very good. The Western-style breakfast, however, was quite average.

Location is ok. But the room I got was not really in good condition. The wall seems wet. I told receptionist they agreed to change the room but I was too tired and decided to just stay since I booked for one night only. The airconditioner smell stuffy too. Other than that was OK.

We booked this hotel for the first week of our stay in Fuzhou. We had also reserved another 11-night stay here after traveling to other cities, but we decided to cancel that reservation and pay the cancellation fee because of several issues we experienced during our initial stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and we appreciate their service. However, the following concerns made us decide not to return: Smoking environment: Although the hotel promotes itself as smoke-free, we noticed ashtrays in the lobby and near the elevators. The lobby, hallways, and elevators often smelled like cigarette smoke mixed with air freshener, which was unpleasant. I am particularly sensitive to cigarette smoke, so this was a significant issue for me. We also saw people smoking while waiting for the elevator on the restaurant level. Noise: Our room faces the highway. Between approximately 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. every morning, 20 to 30 taxis line up on the road and frequently honk their horns. Even though our room was on the 16th floor, the noise was loud enough to disturb our sleep. Location: The hotel is quite far from the train station and most of the major attractions, making taxis the only practical transportation option for us. Room size: The room is quite small, with limited space to move around comfortably. Gym facilities: The gym was very warm with poor ventilation, and it also had a noticeable cigarette smell, making it uncomfortable to use. Because of these issues, we chose to cancel our second reservation despite the cancellation fee. While we appreciate the friendliness of the staff, our overall experience did not meet our expectations, and we do not plan to stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is centrally located with easy access to public transportations, such as buses, train stations, and the subway, the famous hot spring park is nearby. There are abundance of restaurants within a short walking distance. While the hotel amenities may not have been updated to five-star standards, it was clean and spacious enough for a comfortable stay. The breakfast selection was great. The check-in process and English communication were easy. Overall, I found this hotel to be a fantastic value for the price.

Room is OK, with a slight smell of smoke. what could be improved is to help hotel guests to arrange taxi service. It is the first time I heard from a hotel at this level that such service could not be arranged. Not all hotel guests have local phone number for hiring taxi or cars on mobile apps.
