«The Hotel Gabriel is a very pretty well designed boutique hotel in a great location away from the usual touristy areas of Paris, just steps from the hip upper Marais, a short 30 minute walk to the Seine and public transportation abounding. The rooms are a tad small, like many Paris hotels, but the rooms are thoughfully designed maximizing space the best they can. The bathrooms are very functional and once again thoughfully designed. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was adequate with a nice assortment for the hotel guests.»

UUsuario invitadoChoosing a place to stay in Paris is never easy. The whole city is charming and romantic, but where you stay can truly shape the tone of your trip. That’s why I was so happy with my decision to stay at the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile during this visit—it turned out to be one of the highlights of my time in the city.
First of all, the location is excellent. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, and it’s well-connected by both metro and RER. Whether you’re planning to explore the city or heading out for day trips, getting around from here is a breeze. It’s also right next to the Palais des Congrès, so I imagine it’s a great option for business travelers as well.
But the real magic of this hotel lies in its views. When I checked in, I politely asked if it was possible to get a room on a higher floor—and I was lucky enough to be given a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. As soon as I walked in and saw that iconic silhouette framed perfectly by the floor-to-ceiling window, I was speechless. During the day, it was stunning. At night, it became something truly special, with twinkling lights illuminating the tower and casting a warm glow over the city. I found myself sitting quietly by the window, just taking it all in. It felt like Paris was unfolding just for me.
The room itself was sleek, modern, and very comfortable. It wasn’t overly spacious, but it was perfectly arranged with thoughtful details—an incredibly cozy bed, a great coffee machine, high-quality toiletries, and excellent lighting. Everything was clean and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring the city.
Breakfast was served on the 34th floor, and it was an experience in itself. The panoramic views over Paris were breathtaking. Sitting there with a warm croissant and coffee while watching the city wake up beneath me was one of the most peaceful moments of the trip. The breakfast spread was varied and delicious, and the staff were kind and attentive without being overbearing.
What stood out most about this hotel, though, was the quiet warmth of the service. The staff had that classic French elegance—discreet but welcoming, helpful without being intrusive. Even the housekeeping staff were thoughtful, and when I checked out, the front desk staff asked how my stay had been with such genuine interest that I found myself smiling for the rest of the day.
To me, the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile wasn’t just a hotel. It felt like a window into the heart of Paris—a place to quietly take in the beauty of the city, to rest, to breathe. It offered a sense of stillness and perspective, even in a city as lively and vibrant as Paris.
If I return to Paris—and I certainly hope I will—I already know I’ll be coming back here. No other reason needed, really, other than that one unforgettable evening, sipping wine by the window, watching the Eiffel Tower shimmer in the dark. That moment alone was worth the entire trip.

The interior design of the hotel was a masterpiece in itself, with Raphel Navot's talent evident in every detail. The ambiance exuded elegance and sophistication, creating an atmosphere that truly enhanced the overall guest experience. Additionally, the rooftop bar provided breathtaking views of Paris, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoyment.
Regrettably, the overall experience was overshadowed by a combination of disappointments, notably the service at the ground floor cafe. The male employee with a beard exhibited a dismissive and inattentive demeanor during my interactions with him. His lack of attentiveness made me feel overlooked, leaving me hesitant to further explore the cafe's offerings. While I typically do not demand exceptional service, this level of inattentiveness fell short even of my usual expectations.
This attitude displayed by this specific employee overshadowed the positive hospitality offered by all other employees at the hotel, leaving a bittersweet impression of the overall service.
Furthermore, my stay was marred by a billing issue, resulting in double charging for my fully prepaid reservation. Such an oversight was embarrassing.
On a positive note, I must commend the other hotel staff, particularly those at the reception and rooftop bar areas, for their accommodating nature, contributing to a more pleasant overall experience.
In conclusion, Hôtel Dame des Arts undoubtedly showcased a dedication to exceptional design and ambiance. However, the combination of one inattentive employee and the billing concerns left me with a mixed impression. I firmly believe that fostering a culture of attentive and respectful service, along with diligent billing practices, is essential to delivering an exceptional guest experience. By addressing these issues, Hôtel Dame des Arts can elevate its reputation and ensure that every guest is treated with the care and professionalism they rightfully deserve. A seamless harmony of remarkable aesthetics and attentive service will undoubtedly make for an even more remarkable stay at this captivating hotel.

La habitación que reservé es la 112, que incluye servicio de desayuno, y es gratuito. Pedí un desayuno en la tablet y me lo entregaron a las 7:30 de la mañana. No llegó hasta las 7:35. Como tenía que coger un vuelo, fui al restaurante a comer solo. Se lo comuniqué al camarero y resultó que me habían entregado el desayuno en el piso de arriba y que tenía que pagar 60 euros al restaurante. Como no sé inglés, se lo expliqué y el gerente del restaurante me dijo con seguridad que aún así debía pagar. Después la señora fue a explicarle detalladamente la situación al gerente y entonces no tuve que pagar. Gracias. Aunque el dinero no es mucho, estoy muy feliz. La próxima vez que vaya a París, volveré a ir. Me olvidé de darle propina a quien le di. ¡Espero que el hotel pueda recompensarla por mí, o pueda pagarlo yo!

Introducción:
Como viajero frecuente que se ha alojado en numerosos hoteles de Francia, elegir la marca LYF esta vez por recomendación de un amigo fue una experiencia completamente nueva. Como huésped por primera vez y desconocido para alguien de esta zona de París, documenté mi estancia con una perspectiva totalmente objetiva, y resultó superar mis expectativas.
Instalaciones:
El hotel es completamente nuevo y, aunque había un ligero olor a pintura en la habitación (probablemente debido a las recientes renovaciones), las instalaciones en general están cuidadosamente diseñadas con un estilo juvenil, práctico y distintivo. Mi habitación tenía unos 20 metros cuadrados, bastante más grande que otros alojamientos parisinos del mismo rango de precio. Según su sitio web, el hotel también ofrece opciones familiares con cocina, habitaciones tipo loft y más.
El té de cortesía para antes de dormir fue excelente; una conocida marca francesa también se vende en Lafayette, perfecto para relajarse por la noche. El café que nos sirvieron no fue de mi agrado, pero aun así estuvo bien. El sótano (B1) cuenta con lavandería, zona de entretenimiento, gimnasio, espacio de coworking y salas de reuniones, todas con un diseño único. Cabe destacar que hay una cocina compartida totalmente equipada para que los huéspedes preparen sus propias comidas, ¡un servicio fantástico!
Servicio:
Es evidente que el equipo de apertura del hotel aún está en formación, y aunque algunos miembros del personal parecían algo inexpertos, su dedicación era evidente. Todas mis peticiones fueron atendidas con prontitud. Una empleada, Helana, destacó: una noche, al notar que me sentía inseguro en la lavandería, se acercó a mí con proactividad, me preguntó si todo estaba bien y me ofreció una solución. Al día siguiente, la vi ayudando con entusiasmo a otros compañeros. Cuando la felicité, respondió con humildad que disfrutaba ayudando a los demás e incluso compartió información útil sobre las instalaciones del hotel. Otra recepcionista (cuyo nombre, lamentablemente, olvidé) fue siempre amable y sonriente, resolviendo mis dudas con amabilidad e incluso concediéndome una salida tardía. Un servicio excepcional como este realmente minimiza las molestias del viaje y añade sorpresas agradables. Impresionado por el servicio de LYF, decidí extender mi estancia cinco noches más para disfrutar de una experiencia más completa.
Seguridad y transporte:
Algunos me habían advertido que este distrito podría no ser el más seguro, pero mi estancia demostró lo contrario. La zona está bien comunicada, a solo cinco minutos a pie del metro, y se siente como un barrio residencial con un ambiente artístico. Una noche, regresé al hotel a las 3 de la madrugada en autobús nocturno y caminé de vuelta sin problemas, ya que las calles aún estaban animadas, con gente charlando o en citas. La zona es tranquila y culturalmente vibrante.
Restaurantes:
Hay muchos supermercados y restaurantes a poca distancia a pie, lo que facilita la elección de restaurantes.
Recomendación de reserva:
Ideal para viajeros que buscan una experiencia de ”auténtica vida local”, familias jóvenes o nómadas digitales. La habitación básica ofrece una excelente relación calidad-precio, mientras que para estancias más largas, puede ser recomendable optar por una habitación con cocina.
Conclusiones:
En general, recomiendo ampliamente este hotel. Considerando su ubicación, precio, seguridad, instalaciones y servicio, es el mejor que he experimentado en París. Si bien no es el más lujoso, es sin duda un espacio único que te permite sentir el pulso de la ciudad. Mi estancia fue tan agradable que decidí reservar cinco noches más después de regresar de Niza. ¡Compartiré novedades después de mi segunda estancia!

Por la calle, uno puede encontrarse con gente que parece estar bajo los efectos de alguna sustancia, pero es mucho menos habitual que en Norteamérica. Las personas que han vivido en Norteamérica se adaptarán sin problema a estas circunstancias, ¡lo recomiendo totalmente por su excelente relación calidad-precio! Sin embargo, si es tu primera vez saliendo de China, sería preferible alojarse en una zona más segura, ya que el ambiente alrededor del hotel podría resultar un poco intimidante. Y si regresas al hotel en transporte público después de oscurecer, se recomienda tomar el autobús 95 que para justo en la puerta del hotel.
