We picked this hotel because it’s away from the crowds of the city. Very peaceful and had no complaints. We walked to the tram to go into the city. A taxi is good if not wanting to walk 15 minutes to the tram. We walked to the museums nearby. It’s about !5 minutes. The room was nice with an upgrade to canal view. Staff were all friendly and even gave us a glimpse into the John Lennon suite. Breakfast was good with lots to choose from. Special thanks to our waiter Beau! He was so helpful and sweet! We also enjoyed the executive lounge each evening. There also are chairs and tables outside right by the canal with swans cruising by. We were there every evening relaxing after a busy day in town. Ask for a fan or windows opened because a/c is sometimes not cool enough.

We have already stayed two nights and still have one night to go. Just wanted to post what a great experience we have had so far. Rui - bellhop - was so friendly and helpful. We were short a bathrobe and returned with a extra one in less than 2 minutes. He let us know several times if we needed anything to let him know or the front desk. Vicky who works outside the M Club was very helpful in giving suggestions for restaurants and had a detailed map to give us. Marriott should be very proud to have such outstanding staff. As for the hotel, it’s a great location to walk to the sites. Our room was spotless. We had access to M Club. I wasn’t expecting for both breakfast and evening snacks to have such a wide selection. M Club staff was good about keeping up the pace of replenishing food and clearing tables. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Justo al lado de la estación de metro, hay los tranvías 4 y 14. Salimos del aeropuerto para tomar el tren hasta la Estación Central, y luego cambiamos al No. 4 hasta el hotel. Second stay at this hotel, this time 4 nights on holiday. The hotel is located at a commercial, but pleasant area, with good public transportation options. We preferred it to the chaos of central Amsterdam, including a fair share of dubious characters we saw there on sightseeing. We were welcomed in a courteous and pleasant manner (thank you Tim for this, and for good tips regarding transportation)., and service was good throughout our stay. The common areas and the room were pleasant and clean. The bed was good, the bathroom large and well-maintained. Breakfast was a continental fare with no extras, but good quality ingredients, both beverages and food. Few comments regarding things we liked less: 1. Water pressure in our room (highest floor, # 11) was too weak for an adequate shower. Uncertain how it is on lower floors, but this was frustrating. 2. Room service needs improvement. We ordered burgers, to be prepared medium, and received charred, over-well-done meat, with charred buns too. 3. We were happy to learn there was jazz music in the bar on Thursday. Alas, these were two fairly quiet guitars, drowned in a sea of yelling and laughing guests, People's behavior is by no means something the hotel can or should control. Nevertheless, should the music be audible, it may be better to bring a singer with a piano and a set of drums. Overall a pleasant stay at a good hotel.

I would avoid this hotel if you’re looking for an authentic Amsterdam experience. Check in is at 3pm. Rather late…. And our room was finally ready at 4.15…. The check in was not a great experience. We were “sold” a much bigger room with a bath tub which is apparently an upgrade from our “deluxe” room. We agreed, checked out the “upgraded” room and walked straight back to reception. Do not bother with that “upgrade” and the staff made it seem that you’re getting such a good deal and that we shouldn’t tell the others a reception what great deal the receptionist was giving us. So we were sticking to our deluxe room…. Which wasn’t deluxe. It was still rather basic for this price, small, dated decor with no space to store any luggage. We decided to stick around…. Rather than leaving and find another hotel. Being on the first floor meant we heard thumping loud music from the restaurant below at around midnight. Nothing that some earplugs won’t fix. I’d rather stay right at a canal…. This didn’t seem like Amsterdam whatsoever. On check out the bill was much higher than we had quoted for. Looking at the bill now, we noticed that our room included breakfast…. Yet we still paid again as apparently it wasn’t. So, I am leaving this weekend trip rather frustrated. If you don’t want to have the same experience, look for another hotel closer to the centre. Would give it one star…. But I’m a nice person. So two stars is a gesture of good will.

This is a fantastic hotel. My sister & I stayed for 3 nights and loved it. It’s located in a beautiful and very safe part of the city, very close to the concert hall & the museums. The beds are so comfortable and they refill the water in your room every day. It’s a very easy journey into the city centre on the 12 or 2 tram. There are lots of great places to eat within minutes walk from the hotel and the lovely lady gave us a list of nearby restaurants on our arrival. The hotel is very quiet, we didn’t hear any noise any of the nights. There is a lovely sitting room with an honesty bar that has a good selection of drinks. It was lovely to sit off here and relax either before or after dinner. Great shower in the bathroom too. Staff were so friendly & accommodating, they even got a hot water bottle for me one of the nights when I wasn’t feeling well. Will definitely be back, loved it.

El sitio es una pasada. Las zonas comunes recuerdan a un hostel en el sentido de la gran cantidad de gente joven jugando juegos de mesa y videojuegos pasándolo bien. Pero las habitaciones sin duda son las de un buen hotel. Las camas super comodas. Secador de pelo en todas las habitaciones. El hotel está localizado cerca de un Park and Ride, cerca de una boca de metro y cerca de una de las zonas de salir de la ciudad. Sin embargo, la calle del hotel está suficientemente alejada como para que el ruido no llegue a las habitaciones. Además la zona es segura y tiene cerca varios sitios para desayunar o hacer un brunch (aunque el desayuno del hotel es más barato...)
