Rooms were gorgeous, they everything as seen on the website pictures. Beautiful surrounding and serene. Friendly staff. Welcoming and accommodating. Calming environment. However, the restaurant takes VERY LONG to serve the food. Restaurant plays only pure Afrikaans music, maybe play a popular radio to accommodate everyone. They need someone to monitor noice makers after 10pm and early mornings while others are asleep and resting. Overall, everything else was great!

El problema más grande que nos enfrentamos fue que el generador dejó de funcionar durante nuestra estancia ...mind usted fue durante una onda de calor y la situación fue mal manejada por el personal. La habitación era muy buena, pero no se podía hacer nada. ¿Qué pasa si alguien se le ha herido o herido en su propiedad en la oscuridad? El hotel está muy bien situado, y no tiene ninguna luz en el hotel. ¿Cómo se suponía que la gente usaba el baño también en la oscuridad? El hotel está muy bien situado, pero no se puede aceptar la actitud del personal.

We stayed at this hotel twice in March 2023. Whilst it was 'ok' there were several features which need attention if it is to retain any semblance of a quality hotel. 1. Checkin procedures were interminable ..... expect to wait 20 mins minimum to check in whilst staff fiddle with computers, papers, passports, photocopies, preparation of keys etc. This process needs streamlining. 2. There are NO phones in the rooms. Rather you must have a smart phone and log in via a QR code and then do whatever .... we did not have phones and had to physically go down to reception to report problems. 3. The a/c in room 1 did not work. We went down to reception but nothing was done. 4. The room safe did not work in room 2. Attention to these issues needed as they reflect an underlying issue with management.

El hotel está muy bien situado en las afueras de Pretoria, al final de una calle tranquila, bien situado para las autopistas N1 y N4. El estacionamiento está seguro, el personal fue brillantemente amigable y informativo. La comida era de alta calidad, aunque un menú de cena muy limitado. Buena vista desde la sala de cenas. Me gustaba el diseño de este edificio de la colina. El baño era amplio y los jardines estaban pequeños pero bien situados con pequeña piscina, jacuzzi y aguas/puertas. Los famosos árboles de jacaranda están justo en la carretera y merecen la pena ver! Las únicas gripas que tendría es que la habitación era un poco fría y ruidosa por la noche debido al tráfico, aviones, etc. No sonido. Simplemente traer plugs. El servicio de desayuno fue lento (en los días de la semana) Pero en general este fue un gran lugar para permanecer, excelente valor por dinero, y lo recomendaría a cualquiera :-)

No habría elegido este tipo de hotel, ya que prefiero un alojamiento más pequeño y más familiar, pero el lugar donde reservaba hizo un error de reserva y me pusieron aquí. Nos hemos encontrado porque el estacionamiento no está muy cerca de la entrada principal en el piso. No me gustaba que intentaran cargarle 25R de estacionamiento cada vez que recibes un nuevo billete ... Supongo que es conveniente para aquellos que quieren quedarse en el centro de la ciudad, ya que está bastante centralmente situado. No se encuentra en la atmósfera de los comerciantes, pero de nuevo, esta es mi opinión personal.

One prefers to have their breakfast in peace, some of the staff members were grouped right in front of the elevator with a view, chatting as if they didn’t have work to do which was quite disturbing as this is just by the dining area. When you stand up to dish up for yourself- they’re starring. Also, the aircon has a “heat” option which when you switch to, the temperature is rather cold. The double room has head lamps attached to the board just above the bed but had no bulbs. The noise coming from the passages are unbearable. You can’t sleep or nap peacefully.

We stayed at Mongena for a week and got married there on the Saturday night. So we've been interacting with Marina and her team for nearly a year planning the wedding. We had the most amazing time. All of the staff that we interacted with were extremely professional and treated us really well. They really go the extra mile to make sure you are looked after. The food is incredible - everything we ate was delicious. The grounds are very well kept and there are zebra, springbok and nyala roaming around, which are beautiful to look at. We went on a sunset cruise and two game drives, and saw a lot. The rangers were professional and knowledgeable, while also being helpful. The wedding was incredible - Marina is the most amazing organiser and every member of her team worked very hard to make the wedding a success. Everyone had a good time. We had people stay over on the Friday night before the wedding and it was great to have more time to interact with our guests. Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend it. Bonus that it is so close to Johannesburg and OR Tambo airport.

Stayed here with a group of students for one night. The hotel is, for its price, good value. The rooms are simple but clean and ok for a night or two. The staff is friendly however not too efficient with check-in which took close to an hour. We had dinner, lunch and breakfast at the hotel. The food was ok but expect no frills or service, just decent and relatively affordeable. I do feel that with the amount of traffic the hotel has, that more can be done here. The garden is very nicely set up and great to enjoy a meal or to relax. The staff was caring and once we connected with them, nothing was too much which was great. Overall a good and affordeable place to stay in Pretoria.

I was travelling to Namibia and used this hotel for an overnight stay. It is about a 35 minute taxi ride from Johannesburg airport at night. Almost all the distance was on a secure highway. The hotel is located in a very good location in Pretoria, next to a sports stadium. The central part of Pretoria was an easy 5 minute ride away. The hotel is in fact located in a complex with a sports stadium, restaurants, bars, shopping, grocery, and other amenities. It is very secured as it is cordoned of by fencing and security. The staff was pleasant, greeted me and smilingly gave me my room details. I had a beautiful clean room with fresh bedding, a shower, some amenities, and a good night's sleep. There was a nice sky bar with good late night food and music. It was nice sit in the bar and enjoy the Pretoria Skyline. There is a pool in the roof. Breakfast was a good spread. It was a nice experience at this hotel.

Muy buen hotel. Esta ya es la tercera vez que se queda. Quédate aquí la próxima vez que vaya. El ambiente es bueno y el jefe está muy entusiasmado. Mi vuelo de regreso era por la noche y la jefa me pidió que me quedara aquí hasta la noche. Encantador. ¡Gracias!

Rooms were gorgeous, they everything as seen on the website pictures. Beautiful surrounding and serene. Friendly staff. Welcoming and accommodating. Calming environment. However, the restaurant takes VERY LONG to serve the food. Restaurant plays only pure Afrikaans music, maybe play a popular radio to accommodate everyone. They need someone to monitor noice makers after 10pm and early mornings while others are asleep and resting. Overall, everything else was great!

Several of our family from the Cape attended a family wedding in Pretoria and rented 4 apartments at the Regency. The apartments were very nice, clean & comfortable. The Staff members were very friendly especially the security. But unfortunately, there was a few issues especially with warm water and a few minor upkeep maintenances i.e., cupboard doors & drawers loose from hinges, holes in bedroom doors, cracked window etc. Since our arrival Thursday evening, the only time that we had warm water for shower was on Sunday morning. When we arrived Thursday afternoon there was a note in the elevator confirming that the water will be of on Thursday. We asked the agent that accompanied us to our apartments about the water issue and he confirmed that the water supply was on again. Unfortunately, it was only the cold water. Friday we still had no warm water and had to take freezing cold showers in the middle of winter. Saturday morning after several messages, some family members went down to reception to complain. Reception informed them that no one was available to look at the problem. One of our family members is a qualified electrical engineer. He offered to look at the problem. Accompanied by one of the staff members, he found that the warm water element for the apartments side of the building were turned off and that the warm water was only available to the hotel side.

Estuve en el Hotel Capital Menlyn Maine en Pretoria, Sudáfrica, durante la primera semana de diciembre. El personal era excelente y servicial, y las habitaciones eran muy agradables. Por encima de todo, la comida del hotel era extraordinaria. El menú incluye deliciosa comida desde Lamb Dim Sum hasta filetes y sushi. Las ensaladas estaban frescas. Absolutamente todos los artículos eran sabrosos y adecuadamente preparados con las especias correctas y los precios correctos. He estado en 11 países de África en los últimos doce años y este fue el mejor hotel y claramente el mejor menú de todos. El desayuno buffet era igualmente impresionante. Las bebidas eran más que razonables. Mi compañía anfitriona preparó una lista de restaurantes y lugares para visitar en el área y se la di a la recepción para que pudieran compartirla con todos los visitantes. Pídelo cuando vayas. Hay algunos cortes de energía de 'redistribución', normales en África, pero se resuelven rápidamente. No tuve la oportunidad de usar la piscina porque llovió, pero estaba limpia y acogedora. El personal habla varios idiomas. No fumar en el hotel, pero fumé mi cigarro afuera en el área de la terraza en el patio, y afuera en el balcón en el bar de arriba. Las fotos en línea son precisas. Le doy al hotel mi más alta recomendación.

Quiet, clean, safe. Undercover parking. Friendly host. Great location, central but still out of the noise of city. Note that accommodation adjoins host residence. Perfect for shorter stays. Perhaps installing a washer/dryer would elevate this stay.

This place is stunning and the executive rooms are so luxurious, definitely 5 star. Our breakfast was amazing. The pool is also heated which is great for a night swim. The only issue we had is that the AC doesn’t work during loadshedding which makes it difficult to sleep on summer nights. We also didn’t have anything for mosquitoes so opening doors at night was a challenge. Otherwise I would definitely go back!

Very Bad Service. Arrogant Owner. The Owner is also a ******. The Owner quoted me for Accommodation and Meals (Company paid her in full). And on arrival I noticed that they did not have facilities to prepare the meals. She forced that I must eat food prepared in the kitchen that is being painted and dusty. (pictures attached). The room I slept in was dirty and had cockroaches. Dirty sheets (picture attached). The owner still charged for meals she never provided and further threatened me, and she also indicated to me that she sent a report to my Company about my behavior (Which she did painting me all bad). Fortunately, over a decade I was never accused of such behavior by any Hotel / Guest House and her report really meant nothing about my behavior. Poor Service. We did not have electricity the whole time (Even outside the Load Shedding Schedule). The Owner is also a ****** and has no respect for Black People at all. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone especially Black people. My Company has paid for the Service that was not delivered. Very - very bad Service. The staff working there is also not happy especially the black People. The Manager at the Guest House is pushed around and have no say as he is also trying to make a living. Very bad lifetime Experience. I have been in Hotels and Guest Houses for over a decade now. But this was my worst experience.
