my review is about the RESTAURANT!!!! On our visit in Amalfi coast we went to this restaurant.The food was amazing ,feels like Michelin star - sitting in front of the duomo in the balcony- having super tasty and super beauty on the plate. The cod fish was amazing . the ravioli, the caperse salad when the cheese is in between the big green leaves,and the dessert with the Bailey sauce around was super delicious 👌👌👌the whole experience was never forgotten…. at the end we took a picture with the nice waiter and Salvador- the amazing chef. we highly recommend - don’t miss !!!👌👌👌

Stayed here 6 nights. Wonderful accommodation. Maria is a sweetheart and makes a good breakfast. Rooms are clean, small and in close proximity to each other so this is NOT a hotel for babies, children, pets or loud guests. (Highly recommend families book an Airbnb when staying in Amalfi coast out of respect to other travelers)

It is a small hotel tucked away on a side street in Amalfi. The room was beautiful with blue and white tiled floor, windows that opened onto the street. Wi-fi was fast, and the shower felt wonderful after hiking each day. The towels were giant sized and fluffy. Breakfast was bountiful with many different selections including meats, cheeses, cereal, sweet rolls, eggs, bacon, etc. there was also a delightful terrace overlooking the sea where you could take your breakfast. Church bells rang for several minutes each evening at 6:30 pm. If they rang in the morning, they didn't wake me up.

En el hotel, el Duomo de Amalfi y la calle principal son muy accesibles a todo. Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Hotel Residence for 10 days and we would definitely come back if we are ever traveling to the Amalfi coast again. Room - The room was great, however, this is the only area where, if I would ask for anything to be improved, it would be this. When we first checked in we were given the wrong room as we requested a room with a bath tub. This was a honest mistake by the staff and we were given the room we asked for the next day. However, the air con system was broken in the room. We complained about this and was assured a maintenance man would be sent to fix it the following day. In the meantime we were given another room for the night which had air con. When the air con was fixed in our original room it then broke again which meant the hotel provided us with fans and replaced the whole unit itself. Once this was done it worked perfectly, but obviously the constant moving about and heat was a little frustrating. The hotel compensated us for this inconvenience and we were very grateful for their generosity. The room itself was beautiful. The bath tub with jets was great but very powerful! The curtains completely blocked out any sun and the room was cleaned every day. The balcony was lovely for picture taking and people watching. Location - the location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. Right in the hussle and bussle of the town. The bus stop to Ravello is literally opposite the hotel and the stop for Positano and Sorrento is a little further down. The shop to buy the tickets for the bus is conveniently next door to the hotel which is also where we brought snacks and drinks. Service - the service in the hotel is absolutely superb. Every member of staff is so polite and helpful. The only thing they ask is no hot food being brought inside the hotel and that you leave your key at reception whenever you go out which was no bother to us. My boyfriend actually proposed to me on the trip and he organized a bottle of Prosecco and a fruit bowl to be in the room the night of the proposal. The hotel staff also gave us a bottle of Prosecco when we had issues with the air con which was very generous. They also helped us find out how to buy bus and ferry tickets when we asked. Breakfast - lastly the breakfast. Breakfast was included in our stay however we did not have any other meal at the hotel like the dinner as it was quite expensive for us and not what we preferred to eat. There’s lot of great alternatives in the amalfi town instead. However, the breakfast was absolutely amazing. It’s served in the restaurant 7-10 each morning and you order from a slip what you would like. I had the English breakfast and occasionally the pancakes which were amazing! You’re also given croissants on the table and water and can order whichever hot drink you’d prefer. We really enjoyed the breakfast and thought the variety was great. Overall, we would definitely come back and we absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Residence!

We stayed at Hotel Amalfi from the 7th to 9th October 2022. We received an email through our booking site Expedia, extract: “We can suggest you to park, however, in the Amalfi public parkings – Luna Rossa and Berma Portuale – cost € 35,00 per day, requesting long stay We also can suggest you to park in the port of Salerno “Piazza della Concordia” and the catch the ferry to Amalfi. Is very important to not enter in the historical centre with the car without authorization because is pedestrian area and you can have a penalty” We followed the suggestion to park in the unmanned parking lot Berma Portuale on the western side of the harbor. We spend the two nights in the hotel, nice room with balcony and not so fantastic views, but an okay experience. As we checked out from the parking lot after a little less than 2 days, the bill was 213 Euros and not the expected 2 x 35 = 70 Euros, which is already a very high price. We could not get in contact with anyone and in order to get the car out we paid the “fine”. I find the hotel is responsible for the information sent and requests the difference to be returned to me. If the parking authorities of Amalfi can not handle the correct payment, you should make sure to change the message sent to all Expedia clients, that they should not park in Berma Portuale, if that is really the case. The hotel has not replied on the notes listed above and probably don't care. I suppose the recommendation of using the parking lot in the harbour is still sent out to customers, so please make sure you park somewhere else...

Grazioso B&b in collina a pochi km da Amalfi e Conca dei Marini. Ci tornei sicuramente. Ringraziamo i proprietari per la gentilezza e la disponibilità. Sono stati gentilissimi ed hanno fornito preziosi consigli sul nostro soggiorno in costiera. Veniva voglia di restare in terrazza a conversare con loro. Tornando ad aspetti più pratici la camera ed il bagno sono spaziosi e puliti. Il bnb dispone di parcheggio privato a neanche 100 metri di distanza. Con 10 minuti di passeggiata si arriva ad una fermata di bus per raggiungere comodamente Amalfi in circa 20 minuti senza dover guidare e svenarsi per un parcheggio, purtroppo segnalo che la domenica non sono presenti corse bus. Ottima la colazione sia dolce sia salata (preparata al momento) tutto con prelibatezze locali e preparate in casa. Ci sono diverse scale ma andando in costiera dovreste già essere preparati a questo.

¡Nos ha expulsado este pequeño sueño de un hotel! Está amueblado de manera tradicional, se siente como si estuvieras en Italia sin salir de aquí! La oferta de la comida es muy buena, pero no es fácil. A dos minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad y de la playa con excelentes conexiones de transporte a las islas y Sorrento/positano/Pompei que cuestan € 2.50! El hotel está situado en una zona de la ciudad, en la que se encuentran los lugares de interés de la ciudad. ¡El personal fue tan útil cuando necesitamos ayuda para reservar un viaje a Pompey y dejamos nuestras maletas gratis todo el día una vez que nos dejamos! Honestamente no han tenido una mala palabra para decir sobre nuestra estadía aquí, hemos recomendado a todos y definitivamente nos quedaremos de nuevo!!

El hotel está en una buena ubicación, al borde de la autopista Amalfi, a unos 10 minutos del centro de la ciudad o del puerto, muy conveniente. La habitación es muy hermosa, reservamos una suite con vista al mar, el balcón está en el acantilado, la ventana es el mar azul, ¡muy guay! El hotel envió un champagne de bienvenida, sorbiendo un pastel fragante, mirando el cielo azul, las nubes blancas y el mar, embriagador. El hotel fue originalmente un monasterio, por lo que la distribución es muy elegante.

La ubicacion es asombrosa. En 1 minuto se puede llegar a la plaza principal. El propietario es muy amable y siempre disponible. Acerca de la limpieza de nuestra habitación estaba limpia, pero había un problema grave de bloqueo de agua en el baño. El primer día fue en la bañera. Tienes que esperar casi más de un minuto para que el agua salga completamente de la tina. Otro día estaba en el lavabo. El agua se bloqueó durante casi unas horas. Ese día no usamos el lavabo. En la imagen puede ver que hemos quitado completamente el tapón de agua del lavabo. Una bombilla del baño no funcionaba. Les dije que se cambiaran pero fue lo mismo hasta el 4º día. Si esto se resuelve, el hotel está bien.

Las instalaciones son excelentes. Pero lo que más destacaría sin lugar a dudas es la amabilidad y disponibilidad de los empleados del hotel. Desde el primero hasta el último. The Amalfi coast, generally speaking the area more or less between Positano and Amalfi, has several luxury hotels. When you divide them in 2 groups : with and without direct private access to the sea, the number comes down to maybe 5 or 6. Of these, only some have 5 stars. If your vacation budget is unlimited and you don’t mind about any rate and you need a 5 star rating the best option is IL San Pietro outside Positano. Second choice maybe Borgo Santandrea, close to Amalfi. The hotel Miramalfi is an intelligent balance between rates and what you get, at half the prices the above mentioned two imposed post Covid ( they multiplied their rates by 3 ). The Miaramalfi is run by a family. The attention to details is everywhere and the staff is not only well trained but extremely kind. It is located 5 minutes complimentary shuttle drive from Amalfi town. The hotel offers the astonishing views all luxury hotels offer on this coast, it has a nice pool and direct private access to the sea with the advantage of some shaded areas after 3 PM, an elevator down to the sea, two excellent restaurants for lunch and dinner with an idillic view with great food and a nice modern decorated lobby. Terraced gardens go down the cliff. We had a luxury suite consisting of a living area separated from the bedroom, 2 full bathrooms and a large terrace with a lawn with sunbeds, eating chairs and table facing Amalfi. My son had an executive double room with a sitting area and a sleeping area like a Junior suite plus a balcony facing Amalfi. AC and Internet worked very we. Parking is on the rooftop. Nearby is the Santa Catarina hotel which has a larger garden area and would compare well to Miramalfi although at higher rates. My conclusion is to go for the Miramalfi for a luxurious hotel with all its amenities at reasonable non eccentric rates. It is a 5 star hotel with an official 4 star rating.

This is quite possibly my favorite place on earth. Borgo Santandrea is the only place to stay on the Amalfi Coast. The property is stunning from every angle, but what makes this hotel even more special is the excellent service and attention to detail from design, to food, and the overall sensorial experience that make each guest feel special. I tell all of my friends that this hotel is a must if you want to be in heaven while in Amalfi. Maurizio and his team greet you every day, throughout the day, with smiles and a true desire to make your stay memorable and unforgettable. Borgo is not to be missed in your travel plans. 🩵💙

Hotel situado a unos 4,5 km en coche de Amalfi. Habitación limpia con vistas al mar y televisión. Baño privado con amenities y secador de pelo. Hay nevera en la habitación y agua gratuita todos los días. Limpian todos los días la habitación. Desayuno completo y muy variado en el jardín (café, fruta, bollería, zumos…). Saverio y Nicoletta fueron siempre muy amables, accesibles y atentos con nosotros, el trato con ellos es fácil y son muy simpáticos. Se preocupan de que estés bien en todo momento. No se puede aparcar en la calle, pero se puede dejar el coche en un parking privado por 20 €/día, que fue lo que hicimos nosotros. Antonio, el conductor del hotel, te sube y te baja a Amalfi de manera gratuita hasta más o menos las 21:30-22:00 horas. Después hay que pagar el trayecto (caro, pero siempre más barato que los carísimos taxis de la zona en temporada alta). Los autobuses y ferries públicos de la zona dejan de funcionar más o menos a las 22:00 horas. Al depender de que te suban y bajen los del hotel, se pierde un poco de independencia y libertad de movimiento, pero siempre se puede arreglar con dinero, evidentemente. La wifi no llegaba a nuestra habitación.

El hotel está en una ubicación perfecta, justo frente a la estación de autobuses, el puerto para recibir un ferry y las habitaciones en la frente tienen una hermosa vista al mar. We just left Al Pesce D'oro Bed & Breakfast. It was our first time on the Amalfi coast and spent quite a bit of time doing our research and trying to find a cute place that offered some amenities, but that also seemed to be centrally located. I'm so glad that we found Al Pesce D'oro. We rented a car on our way out of Rome. I know, I know... why would we do that? The answer is because we're in Italy for a month - now in Tuscany. The only way to do our journey with a month's worth of luggage and experiences is to rent a car. However, on the Amalfi coast, you don't want to really be driving. It's insanity and by the way, there is no place to park your car. The Al Pesce D'oro B&B offered a private parking lot which was a tremendous stress relief. We only tried to remove our car once on our first trip to the town of Amalfi (10 minutes away) and it was nearly impossible to park. We did find an open spot but we returned to the car to find out it had been towed. The operator, Alessio, at the B&B helped us call the local tow company and get our car back. it stayed in the lot thereafter and we used the busses and sea ferry's to go back to and forth from Positano to Amalfi and into Conca Dei Marini. The bed and breakfast itself was really clean, and the staff and people were so accommodating and nice. One person, in particular, Martina, was so pleasant and so cute. She helped us navigate many things and answered whenever we needed her. We would have just loved to spend some time with just her - she was so wonderful. Our room had a private little balcony that hung over the sea. They brought breakfast to our room every morning and set it up on the balcony. They also had bus tickets at the office area of the business. The restaurant below is known for its seafood dishes. We had a few really great meals there and the staff was equally wonderful. I really can't recommend this place enough. They also own a luxury villa that is available for rent higher up the hill I believe. This family can provide any experience you are looking for and its right in between the main town of interest on the Amalfi coast.

A super enjoyable stay at Casa Mao in Amalfi. This is a quaint and charming boutique hotel with arguably one of the best hotel views in Amalfi from the rooftop deck that also serves as the breakfast area: no better way to start the day! The property has been recently completely rennovated, having been in the family for generations. The owner, Giancarlo, could not have been more helpful with recommendations for beach clubs, walks, restaurants, transport and so on. He really went out of his way to ensure we had a very enjoyable stay. Yes, there are a few steps to navigate to reach the hotel but that is one of the best characteristics of the entire Amalfi coast. Plus the view and peace and quiet makes the climb worthwhile. We would be delighted to return to Casa Mao.

El hotel generaldo nos saludó en nuestra llegada, ya que no estabamos seguros de dónde estaba exactamente la entrada a la villa. El hotel es un excelente host, a través de nuestra estancia de 5 noches y nos ha llevado el equipaje en nuestro camino hacia la villa (hasta la carretera principal hay unos pocos pasos) mientras nos explica las diversas instalaciones que la villa tiene que ofrecer. La zona es muy tranquila y segregada, al tiempo que ofrece unas vistas estupendas de la costa y del mar. En el hotel, el hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad. El desayuno está disponible entre las 8 y las 10:00 y tienes una elección entre cereales, huevos, pastos, yogur y frutas y un desayuno de estilo italiano (tenía esto la mayoría de los tiempos, se compone de perma, salami, pan marrón, tomates , , ricotta y mozzarella, muy recomendable) por supuesto que también tienes una selección de bebidas desde el jugo al café. Geraldo nos hizo muy agradable y muy cálido y amigable a lo largo de todo el tiempo, nos dio consejos de viaje y ayuda para llegar a Amalfi y incluso ofreció su propio suministro de billetes de autobús cuando necesitamos ayuda. Nos gustaba estar sentados en nuestro balcón y en la zona principal de la terraza que usamos en las noches, mientras estuvimos explorando la mayor parte del día. También compró una pizza de tomate y una botella de vino de Amalfi y trajo esto de vuelta a nuestra habitación para disfrutar en nuestro balcón y usted es más que bienvenido para ayudar a cualquier cucaracha / placas de la zona del desayuno para usar en su habitación como la puerta es La zona de la ciudad de Amalfi es un hotel de 2 estrellas. El hotel está encantado de estar en el centro de la ciudad. It is a small hotel tucked away on a side street in Amalfi. The room was beautiful with blue and white tiled floor, windows that opened onto the street. Wi-fi was fast, and the shower felt wonderful after hiking each day. The towels were giant sized and fluffy. Breakfast was bountiful with many different selections including meats, cheeses, cereal, sweet rolls, eggs, bacon, etc. there was also a delightful terrace overlooking the sea where you could take your breakfast. Church bells rang for several minutes each evening at 6:30 pm. If they rang in the morning, they didn't wake me up.
