Kerkyra Blue Hotel & Spa by Louis Hotels

We’re just back from a weeks’ holiday at Kerkyra Blue, 13-20th October 2024, booked via TUI as an inclusive stay for two adults plus one infant (15mths). For added context in case it’s helpful, we’re two dads and we felt completely comfortable staying at this hotel. Sounds mad, but for same-sex couples this is something we look for in Tripadvisor reviews. Location-wise, this hotel was perfect for us and was only a short 15 minute coach transfer. Also conveniently located for Corfu old town, which is just €16 for a taxi arranged by the hotel (which have baby car seats) or €2 by bus outside the hotel entrance. Hotel grounds and views were absolutely stunning, and cannot fault the quality of the interior design, the rooms or the overall ‘feel’ of the hotel, which was ultimately very modern, chic and clean. Weather was great for us and very sunny and warm, mid 20s which we were pleasantly surprised about. As much as it was very pleasant pool-side, the same can’t be said for in the pool - both main pools plus the baby pool were absolutely freezing. Thankfully our son is quite hardy at 15mths old, but if he was under 1yr old we wouldn’t have went in the pool at all. That said, our time in the pool was at a minimum anyway because the water was so cold, which was a shame as the weather was so lovely and it would’ve been great to enjoy being in the pools too, especially for keeping our little one busy, something to bear in mind if travelling late season. Also, the sunbeds (which are super comfy) were always wet for a few hours in the morning as they are soft mattress type, so again something to bear in mind at the cooler times of the year. Trust these issues wouldn’t be a bother though in height of summer! The hotel has a little park which is great for the kids, plus a private beach (not a pristine beach though but fine!). Never had to struggle for beds at pools or the beach, which was a delight. Hotel didn’t feel crowded at all, and felt perfectly occupied. Lots of families, with young babies, and also lots of couples and older families, even solo travellers too, so a complete mix. Facilities were ample for having a baby in tow - travel cot in room on arrival, but sadly a baby bath wasn’t in the room when we arrived and we only had a walk-in shower. We asked reception if we could have a baby bath and they kindly said they’d arrange, but it took 24hrs before we got it only after asking a second time for one to be sent to the room. I should have checked before we travelled like I usually do, but assumed it would’ve been a given with an infant on our booking. On the room front, we were on the second floor - only two lifts serve the hotel, so sometimes you’d wait quite a while on a lift, which was frustrating given we had the pram and really relied on the lifts. Also, sadly the walls in the rooms are paper-thin - can hear everything from toilets flushing, to something dropping on the floor, so you can only imagine it when a baby cries (ie ours!

Great experience also for the 3rd time in Corfu, choosing the same Hotel. Highlights: - very kind and helpfull personnel with excellent service skills - involved management (I've rarely seen a Manager to be so open and approachable on any matter, treating fairly the guests' needs and complaints, all in a professional and kind way. I would dare to say, very solution oriented regarding any problem!) - variety of food during the day with multiple choices (including for vegetarians). The food is always fresh, without exception - neat, airy and well equipped rooms (fully functional ACs, comfortable bedding, clean and constantly disinfected bathrooms, clean balconies) and all the spaces inside and around the hotel - one of the most wonderfull views a hotel can have in Corfu as it's well situated (close to the International Airport from where you can see daily departures and landings of the airplanes...an amazing experience you cannot have in many places around the world) - very child-friendly (the reception space, the pools and the terrace) - meets any expectations of large groups, family vacations and couples - the hotel has enough parking plots, so coming with a car is also a good idea - during the summer and usually on Friday nights, the Hotel is holding live concerts with talented singers, creating a truly amazing atmosphere on the terrace for all the guests - need to mention that the Hotel looks differently than in many of the photos uploaded on the site (most of them are outdated and it's been renewed ever since) Based on my previous experience while travelling a lot in the past years, I can say that Ariti Grand Hotel is a place that meets most of the needs from children to grown-ups, offering the necessary conditions for a truly nice vacation and spare time.

On arrival at 10pm we were seen straight away and given a list of all the information we required for our stay. Lovely staff on reception. Our room was clean with a mini fridge and a big wardrobe. The rooms are slightly dated but we only used ours for sleeping so it didn’t make a difference. Great pool view balcony, which I requested before arrival. The bar was very relaxing and the bar staff were amazing and super friendly. They looked after everyone with the same approach and made you feel welcome immediately. We didn’t spend much time round the pool but we got a bed in the afternoon when ever we wanted one. The hotel is about 20/25 min walk away from the old town, of you use the top road instead of the main road. It’s so able but then you can also speak to reception, who had us a taxi within 5 mins every time. Cost is about 12/15 euros each way. Well worth it. We had a hire car so used the hotel as a base. There is not much around the hotel and you need to travel to a beach, it seems most people used the buses to get about. The only shop near the hotel is a little kiosk on the main road but they had plenty to choose from. The main event in this hotel for us was the restaurant! We used this twice during our stay and we highly recommend giving it a try! Overall we would use the hotel again and we enjoyed the releaxed atmosphere.

I recently stayed at this hotel, Hotel Konstantinoupolis. I only stayed there for one night. I took a cab from the Corfu Airport to this location, it cost 22 Euros. I stayed here the night of August 21,2023. I arrived at the hotel .The hotel has an older feel, with nice thick red carpet. When you arrive, the floor you enter on is a bit small. When you look to the left, you will see the elevator there. I could fit two people, my large luggage, and two carry on suitcases into the elevator. You take the elevator up to the first floor to see the receptionist. The lady will give you the key and the wifi password and then you can take the elevator to your room. I was in Room 409. It was a big room with a balcnoy overlooking the main street. Yes there was an air conditioner unit I could control, yes the plug outlets are Italian style, yes there was a wardrobe with hangers and extra pillows. There were three beds in my room, I don’t know why, but oh well. I had a balcony which faced the main street. There was also a television and a minifridge. The bathroom was modern, with a toilet, sink, and stand-up shower. I don’t remember any takeaway toiletries, but there was a container for soap in the shower and by the sink for visitors to use. When you shower, water more than likely will go on the floor,so the floor becomes slippery. I think this can be fixed if they install another glass door in the shower. Room access is via a real key, not an electronic key. If you need a taxi, there is a taxi stand right across the street. Also, there are many restaurants all over the place, even right outside the hotel, so eating will not be a problem. After you check out, if you still need time to walk around the city, the hotel will provide a space where you can leave your bags. There is also a common bathroom area to the right of the reception check -in area. If you are a solo female traveler or you are traveling with a loved one, you will feel safe in this hotel. For breakfast, I ate at the Agora Restaurant, right outside the hotel, when you step outside the front door. Tsipouradiko is also a great place to eat( right behind the hotel, if you exit the hotel and turn right)
