Arrived at the apartment for a birthday weekend stay. From the offset there were issues. We booked a 10 person apartment for extra space and arrived into the wrong apartment which only slept 8. Fortunately, 2 of our group had dropped out so there was enough space for us to sleep, but regardless of this, it wasn’t what we had booked and were told there was nothing that could be done. We then began to notice the dirt. The floors were filthy, sticky and most definitely had not been cleaned. The towels were stained with lipstick marks and were wet. The bedding was dirty and the mattresses had marks and stains all over them. We contacted the host and they brought a mattress topper and fresh towels to get us by. The next morning we woke up to a leak in one of the bedrooms and damp all up the wall in the living area. The leak was coming from directly above the bed which then made the bed sopping wet. We called the host and the woman we spoke to was incredibly unhelpful but told us a maintenance guy would be coming out to sort the leak, which is clearly a health hazard. We also explained that the towels given were now being used to soak up the leak so requested more. We told the host we didn’t feel comfortable with the cleaning staff going into the apartment whilst we were out and asked if we could be let know when they are due to arrive so we could make sure we were present. 1 hour later we received a message to let us know cleaning service had been into the apartment and given fresh towels and ‘sorted’ the leak. This was unacceptable as we had previously stated we didn’t want the cleaners in whilst we were out which they completely disregarded. When we got back to the apartment the leak which was ‘sorted out’ was a mop bucket put directly in the middle of the room and the bed shifted about. No extra cleaning had been done at all. We asked to speak to a manager which we were told wasn’t available and would be available on Sunday. We decided to take this dispute through Airbnb instead of directly through the host as they were not helpful at all. We received a call from the manager 30 minutes after the dispute was put through Airbnb to which he told us he would give a discount on the next day and a round of drinks and some sort of monetary compensation. The next day when we went to check out at the hotel which they also occupy, we walked into reception to have an awful women stood at the desk on the phone discussing and bad mouthing our group. We stood and listened (because of course they didn’t know who we were) until she was finished. We then made it clear who we was to her and explained how unprofessional it is to be having conversations like that at a front desk and in front of a whole group of guests. They gave us a £100 refund (12.50 per guest) which is completely unsatisfactory and we left. We then contacted Airbnb again to which they have sorted more of the issue and have awarded a further refund for the booking. Please please please do

Estabamos aquí por 4 noches. El personal era útil. Queríamos algo muy central. Este apartamento acaba de estar justo al lado de una zona residencial. Es muy lejos de las tiendas, etc. pero es manejable para un corto período de estancia. La recepción no siempre está abierta, así que tenga en cuenta eso. My husband and I stayed at 42 Castle Street in September 2022 and liked it so much that we booked with Castle Collection again. This time (May 2023 ) we stayed in 25 Castle Street (flat 12) and it was so grotty that we had to go out and buy cleaning products from Tesco’s (they only supply dishwashing liquid). It was actually an adventure of discovery. There was dried up vomit on the lounge suite, (nice and crunchy) the bed head and wall to the left of it had some liquid drip stuff on it ( came off with disinfectant wipes), the walls were filthy, (more liquid drips, so I can only assume that a lot of drinking/ puking must have taken place. The skirting boards had stains and black grime, ( sadly, they defeated me and my myriad of cleaning products) the cushions had liquid/vomit stains and the carpet was so gross I didn’t want to imagine what had gone on in the past. As for the view… well, the windows had bird crap all over them from the derelict building next door, which has more than its share of pigeons and their nests. If you leave any window open to let fresh air in, (it’s stuffy) the pigeons try to get in. They do tend to be somewhat noisy, but ear plugs fixed that. You get the odd seagull crapping, too, but I guess they decided that there’s no need to try and clean the windows, as there’s nothing to see anyway. I realise that that the building and birds are not Castle Collection’s fault, but they’re advertising ‘luxury apartments‘ and to be honest, this apartment made me feel uncomfortable and because it was so grotty, I avoided it as much as possible, and I was there for eight nights! Anyway, I managed to clean the vomit off the lounge and the drips off the bed head and wall, but the living room wall and skirting boards defeated me as they were too ingrained. Okay, it was straight after Eurovision, but really? I am a frequent visitor to Liverpool, as am originally from Liverpool and live in Australia, and I thought the Castle Collection was a great place - umm, no. So disheartening. Anyway, the positives - great location and communication regarding access etc was really efficient and friendly. Really easy access. Number 42 Castle St has a lift, but number 25 doesn’t. Car park nearby with discount rates.

No hay nada que no sea un hotel de vacaciones. Después de esta experiencia he contactado con la empresa, siempre han mentido, dijeron que el gerente estaba en una reunión cuando el gerente estaba en vacaciones anuales (como confirmó el gerente una vez que finalmente tuve que hablar con ella). Ellos dijeron que iban a llamar a alguien para que discutiera mi denuncia, que no fue sorprendente, y les envié los detalles completos de la denuncia, como me dijeron, pero ni siquiera respondieron a mi correo electrónico. Tienen clientes desafortunados que llaman, pero nadie les hablará porque no quieren tratar la reclamación. Se me dijo que la reclamación había sido remitida al propietario, pero no pudieron dar un plazo para que esta reclamación se tratara realmente. Una estrella es demasiado alta para esta compañía.
