Bueno
UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is convent for the hospital. Reception were friendly but we had booked two nights separately and the communication from speaking to reception on the first night did not seem to be passed ion as we were asked why our room was not vacated after the first night. A quick trip down to reception solved the issue.
Bedding and shower clean but room is very tired with scrape marks all along one wall. Bathroom door was all warped all along the bottom as if by water damage. Overall ok.
UUsuario invitadoAwful. Initially I was in a double room. Women daily 0540 by loud music which I believe was the kitchen staff starting breakfast preparation. Moved to single room on my final night. The heating on full was the difference between having a cooler box or a freezer. No cable other than power cable for the TV so no reception whatsoever. This was pointed out to the reception desk who told me no maintenance staff were available due to rostering. A coaxial cable would probably resolve the problem. However that was not provided. The staff were polite but had their hands tied on what they could do to resolve the issues. Just an awful experience sadly as the hotel is in a prime position. Polite staff who had to attend to a number of embarrassing complaints from other guests.
UUsuario invitadoHotel is really very nice, very cosy. A wee bit out for Aviemore if not driving. Didn't eat there but the large restaurant was well used for both breakfast and dinner so I assume all OK. There is a swimming pool although I didn't use this. Overall I didn't use the facilities but they were well used by others. The Woodshed, which is an external bar on the grounds is good, great pizza. The entertainment - a few nights in the hotel and one night in the woodshed - is fine. I would go to this hotel again.
UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is definitely not a 4 star. Top range 3 star at best. The room was clean. It was advertised as a king sized bed, however putting 2 single beds together is very misleading.
The Italian restaurant, the staff are nice but the service is very very slow. Took me an hour to get food. The location is ideal. The sports centre is good and spacious. The pool is good fun. The gym needs a complete modernisation program. Not enough equipment and in a very small room. The sports centre could utiltse space more effectively and have a state of the art gym in the other bigger rooms. It would be used well, however this is sadly not the case. I will return and use this hotel in the future. The price is not cheep and if your expecting Hilton quality then this is not the hotel for you.
CCaroline028We had a fantastic stay at Kingsmill Hotel. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the golf course which was beautiful. The bathroom was cleaned perfectly with no dust or mould. The kingside bed was huge and very comfortable. We would stay again.
UUsuario invitadoExcellent location and cool swimming pool. The fitness centre is quite limited. Getting something to eat in the evening at the bar or getting a coffee in the morning is impossible. Also the bathroom was a little filthy, especially the shower cap full of mold. For 150 pounds per night I wasn't impressed at all. Staff not particularly friendly. It also looks past it's best days. I feel like management of this resort is weak and lacking and should be much better.
