A very comfortable night’s sleep in a very quiet and beautiful location.  The hotel is beautiful and kept to a high standard.  We went to see the Kynren in Bishop Auckland so it was a perfect location to stop on the way up and stay overnight before coming home.  The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

Ideal for a stop off on our way south from Scotland to London. Hotel has character and the room booked was super with a nice bathroom including spa bath. The spa facilities were really good too with pool, decent hot sauna and steam room. Only let-down was dinner. I’d like to meet the chef that puts his name to the ‘signature’ burger - it just wasn’t very good at all. Breakfast buffet, on the other hand, was really quite good. Will stay again.
