Wow!! What an amazing hotel. We arrived in the middle of a power outage, to be met by polite friendly and professional staff, we were made aware of the situation and offered a seat by the fire with complimentary nibbles, we were kept up to date with the situation throughout until power was restored. Considering the disruption, the staff remained calm and all food was delivered promptly and was delicious. The rooms were very tastefully done, well equipped and spotless, beds were extremely comfy and the rooms were toasty warm on a night that got below freezing. Breakfast was really good and we were well looked after by all of the staff. We have to say it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and would 100% recommend The Melbreak to anyone. Well done everyone concerned

Absolutely bang on for central location, only a couple of minutes walk to all the eating places & bars, very nice buffet breakfast or continental breakfast if required, very clean rooms & friendly staff. Excellent service from start to finish. Will definitely be returning to the Belsfield in the future

El hotel está en el valle rural de Casik, el paisaje es hermoso y puede caminar al lago. Estacionar en el patio delantero, gratis. Hay un ascensor. La superficie de la habitación es pequeña, el calor es insuficiente, un poco frío. El desayuno es único, pero el pico puede ser uno, un poco extraño.

Fantastic little Inn. Stayed for one night between Lake District activities at honister and buttermere. Around 30 minutes drive from both. Around the road from bassentwaite lake which was perfect to cool down after an active day.

這個酒店對自駕的很友好，打車就有點遠了，下訂單的時候要注意，幾個人住就選幾個人，住的人數不同，價格也不同，小孩兒需要現場補25磅的加床費，服務員態度還好，但是對房間內多住人很敏感，多要床被子也需要來房間看看到底住幾個人，跟登記的是否一樣，酒店在山上，辦理入住的地方剛開始以為是一樓，辦完了發現是3樓，我們房間在一樓，沒有電梯，拎着行李走樓電下樓後，發現我家車就停在一樓旁邊，早知道就不把行李提去辦理入住多地方了，酒店帶個小池塘，有點小度假村的感覺，孩子跟池塘裏的鴨子玩的很開心，晚上在池塘邊可以看到漫天繁星，適合度假那種，酒店設施有點舊，泳池比較小衹適合幼兒園小朋友玩水，因為比較喜歡那個池塘和草坪，在酒店期間沒怎麼在房間裏呆著，都在户外了，所以衹有户外的照片

El Macdonald Old England Hotel está bien situado, siendo sólo una piedra tirada del lago y las tiendas en Bowness.
El personal es amable y obligatorio y el servicio se ajusta a su actitud.
El desayuno es bueno, aunque el personal puede ser un poco lento en la rellena de los turísticos.
No hemos utilizado el spa, por lo que no podemos comentarlo.
En general, encontramos que el hotel tiene todas las instalaciones que buscamos y nos alegraría quedarnos de nuevo.

La mujer que estaba un poco engrandecida era muy distante y no parecía querer estar allí. No se explicaba nada y no se me dio ningún folleto para leerlo en mi propio tiempo. Fue a la mesa para preguntar dónde ir a mi habitación y se le dijo “sólo siga a la vuelta”.
Muy inútil y desagradable, no estoy seguro de que esta dama debería estar frente al hotel.
Además, la habitación era hermosa y bien mantenida/limpa. Estaba también lado del lago, así que tuve que ver el sol con mi taza de la mañana. Muy refrescantes vistas.

AAlanPBooked in for 1 night to have a rest in some luxurious surroundings after a lot of travelling around the country visiting friends. Hunday Manor is a beautiful old house in a fantastic spot on the side of a hill with a great view. The hotel is very well appointed and the rooms are well looked after. The quality of the food for both an evening meal and the cooked-to-order breakfast was excellent. Perhaps the only facility I would add is a few overnight EV charge points in the car park.
The service however was rather comical, starting with check-in. After confirming my name, 1 night stay, and printing out the reservation sheet, somehow the chap on reception muddled up my solo reservation with a couple arriving on the same day who were staying for a couple of weeks and gave me their room. After settling in for a much needed afternoon nap in the very comfortable bed and 'locking' the door on the inside, the rather startled couple walked in having been given a card for the same room. From that point on I never really managed to relax. I offered to move room when I went down for dinner later on, but the chap declined and mumbled something odd about the length of stay and seemed to point at the paperwork suggesting I had signed it making it my mistake! Sigh.
Things didn't get a lot better in the restaurant. Myself and another solo traveller were given tables at the back (by the same chap), seemingly to keep us out the way of the couples who arrived later and were seated at the windows. When either of us asked questions about the menu there was lack of understanding about the dishes.. I was then asked around half a dozen times by multiple staff if everything was ok. Meanwhile I could hear one of the couples quitely chatting about their room, no doubt the room I was in. Upon trying to put the bill on my room, the same chap from earlier left me at the bar with a card machine asking whether I wanted to add a tip.
At breakfast the next morning it continued. When I arrived the first breakfast room was full of tables needing clearing so I was given a table in the same area where I had dinner. This time given a table at the window but right in front of the only other guest, a lady already eating her breakfast. My table wasn't set so inexplicably the waiter clumsily took a second place-setting from her table while she was midway through eating! After dusting a few crumbs from one of the plates I enjoyed my breakfast. Towards the end of eating the staff were discussing how to rearrange the room for an event later in the day and started moving things around. After hearing the same couple from dinner asking to be told when their room was made available, cleaners were hanging around at the bottom of the stairs when I returned to the room. Nothing like a bit of a hurry up to finish breakfast and get out of your room to make you feel like a valued guest.
Upon check-out an apology and a chat but by then the damage was done. No offer to comp a drink (or dinne)r after making a mess of things either. It's a lovely hotel that could offer a real 5-star experience, but the service ended up more like an episode of Fawlty Towers and needs a bit of a rethink.
Next stop China.

UUsuario invitadoRum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself.
We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area.
Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too.
We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful.
After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks.
We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

Rrockylee1, el hotel está muy bien situado, y el camino a la marina también está en 10 minutos, hay muchos restaurantes cercanos y la comida es muy conveniente. La habitación es grande y hay una sala de estar, sorprendente, pero la sala está en la cama, junto a la calle, algunas calles de mañana y noche, especialmente la velocidad del automóvil británico, son más rápidas y hay que prestar atención. El desayuno es un leche de yogur de pan preparado con antelación, algunos en el frigorífico, otros en el almacén, no se espera demasiado.
2, si vienes por ti, necesitas un carné de estacionamiento con la recepción, 3 libras al día, estacionamiento ilimitado, hay varios lugares para estacionar, en realidad es conveniente. Cuando te vas, puedes ir al estacionamiento primero, y cuando vuelvas, puedes colocar el carné y el carné de estacionamiento en la recepción.

KKristinMWEsta fue la segunda vez que mi marido y yo permanecimos en este lujoso hotel de estilo resort en/en las proximidades de Windermere. El desayuno es muy bueno como se puede comer de los dos desayunos buffet y también se puede comer de los menús. El personal aquí siempre es 10 de 10 excelentes para el spa y el hotel mismo. Es bueno tener tantas opciones de comer y beber en el sitio ... no hay que dejar. Me gusta el acceso clave para el Winner y adicional para las calles de la habitación. Hay parking en el sitio y un guardia en la puerta. ¡Sé que seguiremos visitando aquí durante muchos años!

UUsuario anónimoGreeted with a lukewarm warm reception upon arrival. No assistance offered to take the luggage to the room which was up three flights of stairs that got narrower towards the top. The breakfast server huffed and was visibly annoyed and upset when I dared to ask for a second coffee! I suggest that they invest in a coffee machine instead of serving single cup sized cafetières. The family room was a good size but had fairly low ceiling beams which were pointed out by 15 signs which made the room look more like a building site than a bedroom. No refrigerator in the room and the safe did not work. The location is around 6 miles from Keswick. Nice swimming pool but access via the door to the changing rooms does not work all of the time.
