Nice location. Beautiful view. Great service as well. Staff is nice. Breakfast spread is good - although many items were very salty. Same for dinner buffet. One issue - no lift. So people who cant take stairs are unable to go to bar above or spa below.

This is a very nice hotel that is light and airy, and gives you a sense of being in the country. The staff are wonderful and make the experience what it is. Breakfast and dinner are very good, although it would be great to see more variation. Dambulla town has quite limited food options, so hotels like this are often the only choice for guests. The location is good - near to Dambulla, Sigiriya and only 1.5 hours from Anuradhapura. It would be nice to go for walks near to the hotel including to the lake. It is possible but there are guard dogs for the homes on the path to the hotel which makes for a less than relaxing walk. Overall, an excellent hotel

I absolutely loved this hotel! The location was great, and the views were nice. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the peaceful atmosphere. My room was cozy and relaxing, and I especially loved the bathtub which was perfect for unwinding after a long day. The infinity pool was another highlight with gorgeous ocean views, though it was a bit on the cool side. I do wish it had been heated, but it was still a beautiful spot to relax. Room service was great too! Good selection and reasonably priced for a hotel. Cons: On my last day, I treated myself to a 90-minute aromatherapy massage at the spa. Unfortunately, I’d rate the spa a 5/10. Living in Thailand has definitely spoiled me with incredible massages, so I admit my standards are high! Still, I think the spa could use a bit of a refresh. The rooms smelled a bit old and weren’t very visually appealing. It was also quite cold during the body scrub and massage, which made it hard to fully relax. Breakfast was okay, but I wish there were more Western-style options available. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. Everything about the hotel itself was lovely, I’d just skip the spa next time!

El hotel es un buen hotel con una habitación espacial y hermosa, con un sabor refrescante y una piscina en el suelo, con un jacuzzi con agua caliente.  Minús del hotel: El taxi del centro de la ciudad es tan barato como para recogerme x2. El taxi del hotel es 3 veces más caro. No hay tiendas ni restaurantes cerca del hotel, así que dentro de los precios del hotel para comida x3, También después de las 6:00 es peligroso estar fuera porque los elefantes están caminando por ahí. En 7 años de viaje, este es el primer hotel que no tenía un baño, pantalones de baño, toallas y pasta dental en la habitación. En el hotel, el hotel está en una zona de la ciudad, donde se encuentra el centro de la ciudad. El hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado. No fue debido a la llegada de nuevos clientes, ya que el gerente ofreció ampliar nuestra estancia a un precio. En general, el hotel no es malo, pero el servicio y la flexibilidad del personal, así como el enfoque individual a los clientes, no corresponden al nivel de premio y requiere mejoras.

Room is spacious, have all amenities and toiletries (just missing the slippers). It have heater instead of air conditioner as there is mostly cold here. Centralized control system is a plus. Washroom is comparatively much smaller and just the basic size. Cons: The main thing was the management which was poor and mostly looked after only locals as we came to know by our driver. At check in the room key didn't worked 3 time and they have to call some technical guy to resolve the issue which was actually the issue in room door, still they gave us the same room. When we go to food court for breakfast in morning, it was only 4 set items only which also they decide they want to give or not. For every request it was a no even when we are willing to pay extra for the same. For the meal we had we asked extra sambhar they deny they can't give. We asked for sandwich or any breads which was also unavailable. But after sometime, they give sandwich to some other persons. When we confronted them, they told it is in different meal, we asked to give only sandwich they outright denied, when we said give meal they say come after 11. After complaining and telling at the reception his response was mostly defending and at last only told you can discuss with senior manager. It was our time to leave the city as per our itinerary so we left the place as it is.

Room was well decorated but the toilet was not well maintained. After one shower, hair got stuck at the drain and the water was stagnating at the base of the shower even after the whole night. The view from the room was spectacular but I wouldn’t come back

La habitación parecía limpia y espaciosa, pero tenía un olor fuerte. ¡El aire acondicionado era muy potente! El bufé, que se paga aparte, estaba buenísimo, no era caro y la comida estaba mejor que en China.

We loved this hotel to the point we would return to Kandy to stay here again! The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional, the hotel and rooms were all clean and well maintained and the food at both dinner and breakfast was delicous. Overall we loved out stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. *we also bought some jewelry from the shop in the hotel which was good too.

hotel has a history that makes staying here worth the price and experience, walking into the lobby, one is transported back in time to a space of 1800s as they have preserved the hotel in it's origin condition. the high ceilings with hanging lights, wide red carpeted stairs and antique birdcage elevators adds bring out the beauty and charm of old. we booked a city view room and was upgraded to a pool view room, where it's less quite and the rooms more exquisite. hotel breakfast restaurant overlooks Kandy lake, giving the morning meal another layer of admiration as we dine in wood furnitured environment. location is superb, Kandy Lake and Buddha Tooth Temple just across the street and the Big Buddha Temple less than 25mins stroll away. lots of good food places around for one to explore and eat. rooms are old but charming that way, the wooden floors creak and is uneven but that's the fun of staying in a hotel with almost 200years of history. staff are charming and friendly, always ready to help. a prestigious hotel in Kandy, highly recommended for anyone who visits this beautiful city on a mountain top.
