The Hotel locationis excellent. its on hill and views are amazing. Food was good only issue we had was during checkout when no one was available to get the luggage from room . Its 2nd floor with no lift.

La atmósfera es realmente bienvenida.No sólo me di cuenta del personal, sino que en la forma en que la bondad parece pasar por toda la experiencia de los huéspedes mujeres, hombres y niños sonriendo de una manera que es atractiva, natural y hermosamente insatisfactoria. Y síporque el lujo debería ser realmente pensabletodos mis bolsillos fueron llevados a mi habitación para mí. No hay basura. No levantamiento. Sólo cuidado insoportable, dignificado desde la llegada hacia adelante. Si buscas una estancia que pareja la hospitalidad de primera calidad con un espíritu raro y elegante, es Amba Yaalu. Es realmente inolvidable.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The location was great, and the views were nice. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the peaceful atmosphere. My room was cozy and relaxing, and I especially loved the bathtub which was perfect for unwinding after a long day. The infinity pool was another highlight with gorgeous ocean views, though it was a bit on the cool side. I do wish it had been heated, but it was still a beautiful spot to relax. Room service was great too! Good selection and reasonably priced for a hotel. Cons: On my last day, I treated myself to a 90-minute aromatherapy massage at the spa. Unfortunately, I’d rate the spa a 5/10. Living in Thailand has definitely spoiled me with incredible massages, so I admit my standards are high! Still, I think the spa could use a bit of a refresh. The rooms smelled a bit old and weren’t very visually appealing. It was also quite cold during the body scrub and massage, which made it hard to fully relax. Breakfast was okay, but I wish there were more Western-style options available. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. Everything about the hotel itself was lovely, I’d just skip the spa next time!

The hotel is in a quiet spot surrounded by nature, and we had a really relaxing time listening to the birds. We stayed in a room with its own pool and loved just enjoying the hotel itself. Breakfast came with an amazing view, and the Sri Lankan-style dishes were delicious. The staff were so attentive, always smiling, and made us feel truly welcome. We’d definitely like to come back. Just note that it’s a bit away from Sigiriya Rock and the town center, so you’ll need a taxi or tuk-tuk to get around.

The room is massive. The food served is good too, but there was a ceremony across the road, and it was so noisy. Try not to take a corner room or a room facing the road, as I have heard these ceremonies happen often. Otherwise, the staff is very helpful and I enjoyed my stay.

Hay muchos hoteles en la montaña en Kandy y la carretera es tan pequeña que el conductor condujo en la dirección equivocada varias veces durante la noche y finalmente llegó allí. Los dulces de bienvenida en la puerta no olían muy bien porque llegamos demasiado tarde y los niños estaban cansados, por lo que no prestamos mucha atención a la habitación. Sin embargo, estaba bastante limpia y el precio era muy asequible. El día siguiente también fue rico en variedad y había muchos cuervos afuera, desayunamos y comimos afuera. El cuervo se acercó y se llevó un trozo de pan, lo cual fue impactante.

Este hotel está en medio de la jungla y tiene un diseño espectacular, realmente hermoso. Sin embargo, no lo recomendaría para viajeros solos; está más enfocado en parejas y familias. Por ejemplo, me hubiese encantado cenar en un restaurante tranquilo, acorde al entorno natural y relajado, pero la realidad fue muy distinta: el restaurante era un buffet lleno de gente, con música muy fuerte y mucho ruido ambiente, nada de calma. Durante el día todo era muy sereno, pero en la noche el ambiente cambiaba completamente. Había una terraza que estaba muy linda, pero el menú era muy limitado y el personal no hablaba bien inglés. Tampoco tenían un menú con fotos, así que me costó pedir comida. En cuanto a la habitación, la vista era espectacular, el baño y el servicio, realmente extraordinarios. Todo muy cuidado y estéticamente precioso. Lo único que criticaría es el servicio en el restaurante y la falta de un espacio tranquilo para cenar o relajarse por la noche. No tomé desayuno ni cené en ninguno de los dos días justamente por eso.

Very nice hotel, not far from Kandy's city center. We actually walked into town one day along the 2 lane winding road. The pool is very nice, there is a weight room to work out and a spa if you want a massage. Its very peaceful, has a nice view of nature and a nice little bar with some quality cocktails. If you are going to Kandy and you don't mind being a bit outside the city, this is a real good spot. I would post more pictures, but the site limits the size and its a lot of effort to shrink a photo just post it here.

hotel has a history that makes staying here worth the price and experience, walking into the lobby, one is transported back in time to a space of 1800s as they have preserved the hotel in it's origin condition. the high ceilings with hanging lights, wide red carpeted stairs and antique birdcage elevators adds bring out the beauty and charm of old. we booked a city view room and was upgraded to a pool view room, where it's less quite and the rooms more exquisite. hotel breakfast restaurant overlooks Kandy lake, giving the morning meal another layer of admiration as we dine in wood furnitured environment. location is superb, Kandy Lake and Buddha Tooth Temple just across the street and the Big Buddha Temple less than 25mins stroll away. lots of good food places around for one to explore and eat. rooms are old but charming that way, the wooden floors creak and is uneven but that's the fun of staying in a hotel with almost 200years of history. staff are charming and friendly, always ready to help. a prestigious hotel in Kandy, highly recommended for anyone who visits this beautiful city on a mountain top.
