Clean room and friendly staff in a great location, however the bathroom smells of sewage and there’s no fan. There’s also no airconditioning so the room can get quite hot. If you want to leave the windows open, there’s lots of pubs below that are open until late so it might get too noisy. The pillows are condensed and way too hard and high. There’s a fridge and enough space in the room. Good but not worthy of the price, would not pay more than €80 (we paid €100).

Mijn ervaring bij The Social Hub Groningen was echt super fijn. Onderweg vanuit Duitsland helaas auto pech, hierdoor was het nog de vraag of we richting Groningen konden. Receptioniste was zeer vriendelijk en regelde een late check-out voor ons en raadde leuke clubs/kroegen aan, zodat we nog wat langer de stad konden ontdekken. Helaas niet zoveel van de stad kunnen zien, maar wij komen zeker weten nog eens terug naar Groningen en naar dit fijne hotel!

Muy bueno hotel situado. Buena para un viaje de corto fin de semana o un viaje de la ciudad a Groningen. Ellos tienen un parking bajo el hotel que cuesta más pero generalmente mucho menos que el parking en las calles. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y tienen todo lo que necesitas. El servicio es muy amable que tienen buenas recomendaciones para la ciudad y también planean actividades o reservas de restaurante si quieres. ¡En total, 100% recomendado para permanecer en Groningen!

The hotel is right in the centre of Veendam, and whilst it's not luxurious, it's clean and comfortable. The bar is excellent, their own beers are also very good, and there's a wide range of others available should you prefer. The food in the restaurant was also pretty good, being tasty and generous. We'll certainly be back!

Very kind people took over this place a few months back. It was the best hotel we could find in the area for travellers without a car, and it was a good choice! Honestly service and kind approach to a customer can make up for any stars. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. Coffee and tea available all day.

Great location to explore the city, conveniently located near big supermarket (Jumbo). Easy connectivity, bus line in front of hotel. Quick 15 min walk to the central station. Staff was helpful with storage of luggage etc.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt hier. Tolle Lage direkt am Wasser und in die Innenstadt von Groningen ist es (zumindest mit dem Fahrrad) auch nicht weit. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Frühstück sehr gut und reichhaltig und der Pool hat das entspannte Erlebnis voll gemacht.

Las habitaciones necesitan una mejora. La ubicación del hotel era excelente y el personal muy amable.

De locatie is super midden op het plein van Groningen! Hotel is wat oud maar wel onderhouden. Kamers zijn klein en gehorig.
