La ciudad de Suzhou es bastante extensa, por lo que no hay una zona que sea la mejor para hacer turismo. Lo bueno es que didi solo cuesta menos de 10 RMB por viaje desde este hotel, por lo que sigue siendo muy conveniente. No me molestaría en coger el metro de Suzhou, no es tan cómodo como el de Shanghai. Ah, sí, la televisión por cable tiene programación en inglés, lo cual está bien para un hotel en China. Su ubicación es inmejorable, justo al lado de la antigua calle Qili Shantang, lo que facilita enormemente las compras, la gastronomía, los paseos en barco y la visita al Pabellón de la Estela Imperial. También se encuentra a pocos pasos de otros jardines, como el Jardín del Administrador Humilde. Las habitaciones estaban limpias y ordenadas, con ropa de cama suave y cómoda, y las zonas húmedas y secas separadas estaban muy bien diseñadas. ¡Mención especial merece Xiao Liu en recepción! Fue atenta y considerada. We absolutely love our stay at Club Med Nanjing, and I can’t recommend it enough—especially for families who love the outdoors. The nature aspect of this resort is simply stunning. You can spend days just exploring the grounds, walking through the lush scenery, and discovering little hidden spots around the property. Our kids were constantly engaged, curious, and excited to see what was around the next corner. That said, what really made our stay special was the staff. I was genuinely surprised by how well the team speaks English. As foreign guests, we never once felt lost or unable to communicate. A very special call-out to Zai Zai, Diana, and Frankie—they have been incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. We later learned that they studied at university in Australia, which explains why communication felt so easy and natural. For any international travelers worried about a language barrier – don’t be. This team has you covered.. But more than just language, it’s their attentiveness to our children that blew us away. Diana, in particular, went above and beyond. She noticed how hard it can be to juggle three kids, so she would walk with us to the elevator and even push the button for us. It sounds like a small thing, but when you have your hands full with little ones, those little gestures mean the world. She also constantly checked in on our children, making sure they were happy, comfortable, and never left out. There were a couple of kids' facilities that were closed during our visit—slightly disappointing at first. But honestly, the staff turned that around completely. They were so accommodating, quickly pointing out alternative activities and making sure our children always had something fun to do. Whether it was a quick arts band crafts setup, a guided nature walk, or just extra time at the play areas that remained open, the team made sure no moment felt wasted. The kids didn't even miss the closed facilities in the end. Because of that, this resort is a fantastic holiday option for parents who actually want to relax. You can finally sit back, enjoy a coffee or a quiet moment, knowing your kids are not only having a blast but are also being genuinely looked after. The peace of mind that comes with that is priceless. If you're a family that loves nature, values warm service, and wants a holiday where both parents and children come back happy and rested—book Club Med Nanjing. The Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou** underwent a renovation and upgrade in 2022, retaining some elements of Jiangnan-style gardens while blending in modern design. The overall aesthetic reflects a contemporary Chinese style, with partial preservation of traditional garden landscapes such as water features and pavilions. My stay at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove was quite satisfying overall. What I loved most was the breakfast here—the hotel offers a wide variety of high-quality options, from Chinese dim sum and Suzhou-style local delicacies to Western dishes, all meticulously prepared and exceptionally flavorful. The richness and refinement of the breakfast spread could even rival that of top-tier five-star hotels in Shanghai, providing guests with a premium dining experience. The selection was diverse, and every item was perfectly executed. The freshly made Suzhou-style noodle soup had a delicious broth, while the eggs Benedict from the Western breakfast station were authentically prepared. The fruit section featured fresh seasonal choices daily, making it enjoyable even after several days of dining there. The service attitude of the staff was truly commendable. The front desk handled check-in efficiently, and room service was quick to respond. Most of the hotel employees were young and eager to assist guests. Rachel added me on WeChat, so whenever I had any room requests, I could simply message her before heading out—very convenient and thoughtful service! The room itself was moderately sized with a practical layout, comfortable bedding, and well-scented amenities. The bathroom had strong water pressure, and the housekeeping staff kept everything spotless daily. The hotel’s location was convenient, within walking distance to several major attractions. The public areas were well-maintained, clean, and cozy—especially the lobby lounge, which was perfect for waiting or getting some work done. While it may not be the kind of jaw-dropping luxury experience, the fact that every aspect was executed flawlessly, paired with attentive and considerate service, makes it a hotel I’d gladly choose again. Thanks to all the staff for their dedicated service!

The location was directly at the tourist attraction very convenient. Hotel amenities are great, love the Dyson hair dryer and the hot water dispenser save time to boil. A very warm feeling staying in tte hotel as they will serve evening drink into our room and on the check out day they packed us a small bag of titbits which elevated the whole staying experience that they care for every guest. The staff were very friendly and polite, have to give special credits to 小海 and the 小姐姐 at the front desk whom served us on day 1. Despite my endless questions, they still patiently attended to me. Last but not least the wonderful shuttle service that they provide and the driver gave us good advice. Thumbs up to him!

💯The lady who checked us in on Day 1 was very good, but the staff did not wear any name tag so I can’t remember her name. We found that she is the only one who was prompt and alert to guests needs. She helped upgrade us to a room that is more handicap friendly, as my husband was on crutches. She also helped us order takeaway using her private mobile phone when the restaurant on site was closed for lunch as we had no china mobile phone number to order take away. 💯The location is great by the lake and near the Tianmu Lake scenic park. 💯Outdoor hot spring staff on duty are attentive and polite. She even instructed the buggy driver to the nearest point to pick us when she noticed that my husband had difficulty walking. However the buggy driver did not pick us from the recommended point as she gave the excuse that her buggy driving skills are not good enough. Therefore we had to walk a longer way to be picked up, which puzzled everyone as there was more than enough space and a road for buggy entry…. ❌ Not enough staff, especially at dinner and breakfast. Food is slow to come at dinner even though we pre-ordered. Waited 30 mins and more. Staff are loud clearing the crockery, and had no sense of regard for those still dinning. ❌tour groups arrive in the evening by the bus load. The hotel did not feel premium with the crowd who were very loud. ❌the private hot spring in the room only had a fixed temperature of more than 40 degrees which made it very uncomfortable when the external temperature is more than 30 degrees. The solution was to mix it with cold water via tap, which was very slow and impractical. The hot water needs to be filled up by the staff, and you have to call them. ❌not suitable for those with difficulty walking or elderly. ideal to have your own car. 🤔Overall, I did not feel that I made a good choice with this booking. There are others private hot spring room near Yu Shui hot spring / Bamboo sea area for a better value and premium feel. 🫥I would also caution against the 100 yuan fish coupon - it is a discount coupon to offset about a third of the price of the dish, not a complimentary coupon for a fish head casserole. I did not receive the welcome gift so I can’t comment. The public hot springs has 4 pools.
