My stay at Swiss-Belhotel Kuantan was just okay. The location is convenient and the hotel looks nice from the outside, but overall the experience was quite average. The room was acceptable and generally clean, though nothing really stood out. Some facilities felt basic and could use better maintenance. Service was fine, but not particularly memorable. Overall, it’s an okay option for a short stay, but there’s room for improvement.
Very old building, old facilities.. but overall still a good stay
1. The escalator was too old, it took at least 1min to get the door opened.. please upgrade a better lift
2. We stayed in Fushcia building, big room, with living room, dining area, a queen size bed, a dressing area, spacious bathroom, a bathtub - cost for RM290/night on a weekend. I feel is worthy. Given shampoo, shower gel, lotion, muji toothbrush and colgate toothpaste, shower cap, vanity kit and sanitary bag. Also, in the cupboard, there is laundry bag and slippers. Only the heater will automatically stop working after sometimes when we shower. Overall worth a 3/5 for me.
3. Talking about the activities, limited. No shows, no fun, no vibes. Suggest to revamp and reopen to attract more local tourists. Current situation is, most locals come for one day trip and foreign tourists only will choose to stay here. Without fun activities, there will not be much reputation built
The location is excellent, directly opposite ECM Mall. However, upon entering the room, I noticed that the refrigerator was switched off, which resulted in an unpleasant odor when it was opened. I recommend ensuring that the refrigerator is thoroughly cleaned and turned on when preparing the room for guests.
The breakfast offered a wide variety of options and was delicious. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kuantan.
The Chateau is a family friendly resort, it is also a great place for events like weddings or celebration.
When you arrive to the chateau, it feels as if you were in a fairy tale, castle in the woods. The condition and maintenance of the chateau is awesome, very cozy yet grand at the same time. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to their guests, providing top notch service. There are many different locations to explore and activities to do around the facilities, which make the stay a very eye opening and entertaining one. The room was beautiful, interior design to perfection, very comfy and clean, definitely had a good rest. The food provided at the chateau, one mouth watering meal, it definitely satisfied our taste buds.
Overall the experience at this hotel was fantastic, one that I would recommend to many. I would definitely come back again in the future.
Dapat free upgrade to level 28. Cuma nak ambil kunci. Parking dan ke bilik tu bertukar2 tower. Mcm amazing race 😂 mungkin lepasni kena inform awal cara nya mcmana. Sgt confusing. Nk return kunci pun sampai sesat keluar ikut tower bridge. Sebab kalau terus keluar parking , nanti kena bayar full parking . Jika sblm keluar dah return kunci, boleh swipe kad tng tu dpt free je parking. Katil semua empuk best!
I stayed 1 night at Grand Darul Makmur Hotel Kuantan during a business trip. The hotel and room size are quite spacious, which was comfortable. The room does look a little old, but overall still fine for a short stay. Breakfast buffet starts at 7am with plenty of food choices, though the taste was just average. By the way, even if you book and pay through Trip.com, you’ll still need to pay a small tax directly to the hotel — in my case, it was RM3. Overall, a decent stay for business purposes.
The location quite strategic, 5-10minutes driving from first world genting. How ever, for my stay, i think the water heater got problem. I shower with very cold water day and night even i’m not switch off the water heater suis. Another thing is our airconditioner remote bettry was finish. We cannot control the temperature that time. Overall the room was nice view and comfort.

Fabuloso
MmangosellerI stayed at Crockfords Hotel Genting in early October 2025 and was genuinely disappointed by the level of service — especially for a hotel that claims to be Malaysia’s leading luxury property.
On 3 October, I approached the concierge Duty Manager around 9:40am regarding the hotel Wi-Fi, which kept showing an “invalid credentials” error. Instead of taking the initiative to verify the problem — which turned out to be something as simple as incorrect login details given at check-in — he insisted that the IT team would need to come into my room to fix it.
Later in the day, another staff member resolved the issue within minutes by simply checking the credentials. It’s baffling how the Duty Manager couldn’t do something that basic.
Throughout my stay, I also noticed that many of the staff seemed lost and unsure of how to handle simple situations — almost like the blind leading the blind. There was a clear lack of coordination and communication among them.
The breakfast experience was another major letdown. I had breakfast there for three consecutive days, and throughout, the food was never hot — the noodles in soup were the only consistently warm item served. To make matters worse, the staff did not communicate properly among themselves. On one morning, we were told to wait while a table by the window was being cleared for us. After waiting a good five minutes, another group of guests was allowed to take the exact table we were waiting for. The explanation given was simply that “the other guests wanted the table.” Completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre.
The only saving grace was the Duty Manager working on 5 Oct and overseeing the breakfast buffet, who was attentive, proactive, and took the initiative to check if guests needed drinks or assistance. His professionalism truly stood out amidst the confusion elsewhere.
For a hotel that boasts winning the Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star Award seven years in a row, this experience was frankly a joke. The gap between Crockfords’ reputation and its actual service standards is staggering.
Truly disappointing and nowhere near what one would expect from a so-called luxury hotel.
PS: At least the view was great.
HHninicholasIt has been a very long time ago since I been to Genting as a teenager. Now I am back with my own family. This is my first time stay at SkyWorld Hotel, which is located slightly off the usual Genting Casino at the top. However, the SkyWorld Outdoor Theme Park is just right opposite the hotel! It is also within walking distance to SkyAvenue where there are a lot of places to play and dine in. The check-in is hassle free by using the self service kiosk to collect the room cards and also for whatever payment due. For the check-out, it is even easier with express kiosk for self drop of the hotel cards.
Our room is located at the Valley Wing, which is actually at another block of the building linked by an overhead walkway. The room is big and spacious, with 2 Queen beds ideal for family stay. It also has a balcony which has a very amazing view of the Genting Highlands landscape. Every morning, we are greeted by the sea of clouds! However, there is room for improvement for the cleanliness. Maybe it is due to the high altitude and humid of the area, there are mould everywhere in the bathroom.
The breakfast is at the Coffee Terrace, which is super far away from the hotel. One need to walk to the SkyAvenue side, take escalator 5 levels up, crossover to another building and follow by 1 more escalator. What make it worst is, the Coffee Terrace is combined with all the other hotels nearby, there is many many people during peak period. Despite the long Q to go in, we also need to find the empty table and take own utensils ourselves. The food is decent, nothing special.
We were given complimentary Cable Car Return tickets for 2 adults per day during our stay at SkyWorld Hotel, it helped us save the trouble to Q and purchase the tickets.
The overall experience is ok, nothing fanciful and the stay is decent for usual night sleep and rest.

UUsuario invitadohad a pleasant stay overall, but the pool could definitely be improved. When we arrived, the staff were still in the middle of cleaning the pool. Even after they were done, the water was still a bit cloudy and didn’t look fully clean. Hopefully the hotel can maintain the pool better because everything else about the stay was good

UUsuario invitadoPleasantly surprised by this hotel. It’s an old building that has recently been refurbished. The lobby is airy and welcoming, framing a spectacular view of the South China Sea beyond. The front desk was attentive and welcoming, especially Shima, who happily guided us around, showing the place. The room is amazing, the bed is nice and firm, exactly what we needed after a long day on the road. It is miles better in comfort, fit and finish from the Hyatt in Teluk Chempedak. The floor is nice and carpeted, plenty of plug points all around including those that fit non-UK plugs, as well as USB-A. All in all, very recommended
