The spa - hamam, sauna and indoor pool (1m deep though?!) is the hotel’s best feature. There is no beach access though, so I went to Nea Hora and Golden beach. Rooms - too small, lack of storage space, complex buttons and unnecessarily complicated console. It was quiet even though I was given a 2nd floor room. The overall signage in the hotel is confusing too. Beds and pillows - huge and comfy. Food - excellent. Massage decent. Toiletries good. Only frontal views are of the sea, but cost 10x more! Otherwise - trash can views!😤 A la carte breakfast - too slow, you eat less, always a misunderstanding… and after you order they take away the menu… Rooftop pool - a scam! Sunbeds always occcupied and need to be booked to see the sunset 🙄 there is another rooftop on 7th floor but after 10min you want to leave, because there are no showers, a pool, toilet or a bar… Staff is young, fakely polite, too slow and not very responsive - obviously trained for certain types of guests (culturally unexperienced). So even to get a locker in the spa you had to wait to be explained how to unlock it (and pass a test?!), even though there are two people at the reception desk. My coffee capsules, sweetener, and teas were not replaced the following morning during the housekeeping visit and a used glass was not washed. The balcony pool is tiny and got a lot of fluff from the street, plus I didn’t feel comfortable using it with it being visible from the street and building right across the street. I was also called at 21:30 (I was asleep?!) to check whether I was satisfied with a complimentary 30min massage (due to the poor room view)… 🤷🏼♀️ I understand that it is a new hotel and they are trying their best but I also paid 800+€ for two nights and was frustrated during 50% of my stay… 😒 I attended a high school for tourism and hospitality, worked as a masseuse, also and worked in 5-* hotels Chania 30 years ago, but stayed in a multitude of 4-5 star hotels worldwide since. Especially in Asia where the service is top notch. Therefore, all of this is not acceptable for such a high price. Yes, the welcome drink is nice, and so is the complimentary massage, but you should do better, Hilton!

We stayed here for 4 nights. I had booked a sea view room, but they said it was upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi was nice and relaxing, the sea view was quite limited, which was a bit disappointing. The property is located in a remote and peaceful part of the island. It has excellent internet access and a decent outdoor gym. Since it is right by the sea, you can enjoy walking or running along the coast to the nearest town, Mavrikianon. One important thing to mention is that the property does not have direct access to the sea. To swim, you need to go to either Plaka Beach, which requires a minimum spend of €40 per person to use the sunbeds, or to Mavrikianon Beach, which is much more affordable at €5 per person for the entire day. Mavrikianon Beach is very pleasant and close to markets where you can buy drinks. There are also some good food and drink spots nearby, such as Rudi’s Bar, a British-style pub, and Porto Rino, which serves great pizzas. Make sure to skip Nico’s Fish Tavern and try the Ferryman instead — you won’t regret it. What we found most frustrating was the lack of mosquito screens on the windows. Sleeping with the windows open was not really an option, even though the natural breeze was wonderful. Our room had air conditioning, but we tend to get sick sleeping with it on. There was a ceiling fan as well, but it is a shame to miss out on the fresh air simply because of a missing screen. The breakfast was also a disappointment. There were very few options, the coffee was not good, and the omelettes were overcooked. The most inconvenient part of our stay was the parking system. You have to check in and out with security every time, which felt excessive and time-consuming. It gave the impression of entering a high-security zone, not a relaxing holiday resort. Overall, it was a good experience with some nice features, but for the price, it lacks comfort and convenience in a few key areas. .

And about transportation, you can choose either hotel's pickup that is expensive but convenient, or the local bus ( I chose KTEL, it's very comfortable but please check the timetable on the website). Las habitaciones son espaciosas, limpias y ofrecen vistas al mar, especialmente durante el atardecer. Me encantaba especialmente la piscina privada, que añadió una capa de relajación a mi estancia. La cena en el hotel fue un destacado restaurante, con una variedad de restaurantes que ofrecen platos frescos, deliciosos y de fuente local. Hay algo para cada palacio, y nunca tuve una comida que no era de arriba. Las instalaciones del resort son igualmente impresionantes, con un spa que ofrece tratamientos indulgentes, un centro de fitness bien equipado y varios piscinas perfectas para el salón. Si buscas un descanso relajante o una base para explorar Creta, The Royal Senses ofrece en cada frente. El hotel está situado en una zona de 4 estrellas, con una ubicación ideal para explorar la isla, con fácil acceso a las playas, a los pueblos encantadores y a los lugares históricos. En general, el Royal Senses Hotel es una combinación perfecta de lujo, confort y auténtica hospitalidad creta. We stayed in Sunrise apartments in the beginning of June. First of all I'd like to say a huge thank you to Nicko and Tonya, the hotel manager and his wife. They are amazing people,very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They made us feel at home during our stay. The hotel itself is located on a hill, but that's what gives you the best view of sunset and sunrise. They have a beautiful rooftop terrace with sunbeds, umbrellas, tables and chairs. It's a Beautiful spot with sea and mountain views to watch the sunset and have dinner in a relaxing atmosphere. The room was very clean and spacious with everything you needed and it was cleaned 4 times during our stay(10 days). All bedding and towels changed every time they cleaned the room. The cleaner was amazing too. She did such a great job. The pool was very clean and very pleasant, the water check was done by Nicko daily. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. The hotel was approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minutes walk to the supermarket, which was quite good and had everything we needed. Restaurants and taverns are all located within walking distance,but if you want to rent a car or scooter, Nicko will help you with that too. He is very approachable and helpful. We were very happy with our choice of accommodation and highly recommend Sunrise apartments to other guests. Thank you Nicko for everything you have done for us and put up with us all 10 days and made our Crete experience unforgettable.

The hotel is pretty clean and modern. We found the beds to be very comfy and the hotel's location was pretty convenient near the old town and port areas. The rooms are well appointed with a couple of chairs, a work area, a coffee/tea station, big TV and a large bathroom. There were enough plugs around the room and many switches with light settings to get it just right. We appreciated the balcony and the view outside but there were some cars that drove by with very loud music each night. The only significant complaint we had was that the bathroom shower leaked very easily in our rooms and got the floor wet near the toilet. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good with a variety of Crete foods like cheese and pastries. There was fresh scrambled eggs and a very good sausage available as well. The breakfast also had a large variety of preserved fruits that paired well with the Greek yoghurt and included oranges, cherries, grapes and figs. We appreciated that the hotel had inexpensive parking nearby at Central Parking which was 7 Euros per day with unlimited in/out privileges as long as we got a stamp when we got in. The hotel also had a restaurant that offered room service and there was a popular cafe just across the street. This hotel was a good base for exploring Crete with a convenient location near the airport and the price was very fair for us.

Daré esta revisión de mis estancias anteriores en este alojamiento en los últimos 10 años Años. Siempre ha sido un lugar agradable y cómodo para permanecer. Sólo una queja sin embargo. Por accidente, me reservaron las fechas equivocadas para permanecer, pero logré cancelar una semana entera antes de que me debiera quedarme. Ubicación agradable y limpia

Hoy he vuelto a casa después de pasar una semana increíble en este hotel familiar. Sin duda puedo decir que han sido unas de las mejores vacaciones que he tenido, llenas de gente agradable y un clima griego estupendo. El hotel está situado en un lugar muy conveniente, cerca hay muchas tiendas y restaurantes. Lidl está a solo 5-7 minutos a pie. Al lado del hotel hay una cafetería estupenda. ¡Sigue adelante! Al lado del hotel hay una parada de autobús que te llevará al centro de la ciudad de Chania para dar un agradable paseo y disfrutar de una deliciosa cena. El hotel en sí es de estilo apartamento con una piscina increíble que siempre estaba bien cuidada y limpia. Todos los días las chicas se aseguraban de que nuestra habitación estuviera limpia y tuviéramos toallas nuevas, y hacían composiciones impresionantes con flores y toallas. El director del hotel era muy amable y siempre se ocupaba de forma eficiente de todas nuestras peticiones. El desayuno estaba delicioso y, en general, nuestra estancia fue muy agradable. Definitivamente, visita este hotel para sentir la increíble hospitalidad griega.
