Viajar en familia, hermosa habitación, 4 ppl en la habitación sólo 2 instalaciones, olvidar un día TD. Un rack limpiador dejado en la habitación. Tenemos un gran tiempo, el personal es amigable, el campanario es eficiente.

We stayed at Royal Canadian Lodge in Banff from March 26–29 with my 7-year-old daughter, and overall we had a great experience. Check-in was simple and straightforward. We arrived in the early evening, and Jason at the front desk was the most approachable and helpful hotel staff member I have ever dealt with. He remembered my daughter’s name, greeted her every day, checked in with us throughout our stay, and added little touches that made the trip feel extra special for both of us. The renovated room itself was fairly standard for a hotel room, but comfortable. Our room had two queen beds, which worked well for us. The bathroom had a shower only, with no bathtub, but that was not an issue. The pillows were big and lumpy, all 8 of the pillows in our room were too high/tall for my daughter to use comfortably. There are robes provided in the room, it would be a nice touch if they could also provide kids size robes. We had a mini fridge, coffee maker with coffee, and kettle with tea provided in the room. We ordered room service one night and tried the pulled pork poutine, which was the daily special from the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was not very good, and I would not recommend it. The TV included free cable and on-demand programming, as well as pay-per-view movies. I had brought my laptop and an HDMI cord, and we were able to connect it to the TV easily to watch our own movies. Watching on-demand, my daughter discovered The Simpsons and loved it (lol) The pool area was a big highlight for us. The pool is salt water rather than chlorine. The water itself was on the cooler side, but there was also a good-sized hot tub and a large steam room. My daughter quickly made friends with another family staying at the hotel, and the kids spent multiple hours a day in the pool together. The gym was small but functional. In the four days we were there, it was empty every time we walked by. Parking is $20 per day, which does add up. There is also free street parking behind the hotel if you are able to find a spot. One fun feature in the lobby was the robot, which the kids absolutely loved. We were told that after construction is complete, it will be delivering items to guest rooms. During our stay it moved around the lobby, told jokes, and handed out free apples. The hotel was reasonably priced compared with other options in the area. I chose it specifically for the pool setup, knowing we would be spending a lot of time there, and it worked out really well for that. Shops and restaurants on the main street were about a 10-minute walk away, or you could take the bus that stops outside the neighboring hotel for $2 per ride, with kids riding free. I would definitely stay here again in the future. The price, location, rooms, and pool make this a very family-friendly hotel option in Banff. Biggest thank you to Jason at the front desk for the spectacular service we enjoyed.

Me pareció que mis niños disfrutaron del desayuno buffet al menos que fue gratis por 5 & por lo menos.

Great hotel ! I have Stated here many times over the years! Furthermore the owners have made great improvement in the recent renovation. Good location but poor management (that’s why I have given it a low experience rating) Hotel bar has been closed for a while but not advertised when booking! This is a ski resort and we traveled as a large group (4 rooms) with mixed age group inc teens and kids so a hotel bar is critical for us! The fact that the main bar was closed and no apré ski drinks in the bar should have been advertised. Frankly I’m on holiday and without an operational / open bar I would have booked elsewhere! I was only informed via email after the free cancellation period was up which meant I loose money if I cancel and more so will be challenged to find elsewhere! I only found out after a email from hotel a few weeks before checking! When I challenged management via email, I was informed the bar area was moved to the restaurant, I said this is not acceptable and bar closure should have been advertised on booking … was told the above, and a sorry and subsequently ignored thereafter ! Not ideal as the restaurant is not a bar - more so it was pretty weird having drinks upstairs and more so when a few folk start to come up for dinner or the restaurant starts to set up for dinner buffet. Management did offer some of my party a credit, but not me and just ignored my concern.Shame really! I don’t want to take the good positive vide away from the hotel so would like to big up 1) reception staff- always great with a smile 2) house keeping - great job 3) restaurant staff - friendly and smiley (even though difficult trying to manage a so called bar and restaurant) in the same place 4) amazing refurbed pool

I'm not the one that leaves bad reviews but I have to do this . This isn't your typical holiday inn you're used to . Far from it . Stains on blinds, not the typical spacious room I'm used to . The heating system made constant dragging noise at intervals all night . We couldn't sleep . Not what I was expecting . Then I called to see if there was an option to get the room upgraded , the lady that picked up was too eager to shut me off . There was no professionalism . Microwave was making creaking noise and the tv wasn't working when I checked in though that was fixed promptly when I called them in . I'll give them a 5/10. I've been to other Holiday Inns in Edmonton, and they are top class with very decent people at the front desk . This is just one old hotel trying to live up to the franchise name. Not close !!!!! Never again!!!

We chose this hotel at random while driving down the highway. We were VERY glad that we did. The following day, we kept congratulating ourselves on the great choice. It was very easy easy to get to off the highway. But yet it was protected from the busy highway noise. The staff were absolutely 5-Star. Every single individual that we encountered, both hotel and restaurant, seemed to be genuinely friendly and professional. Specail shout-out to: Jei, Jasmeen, and Maltin. ( hopefully i got the correct names) We used the pool in the evening, and it was a surprisingly nice facility for the price of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed it until an excessively noisy family showed up with undisciplined kids. But that's not on the hotel. I don't know why the restaurant was empty because it was exceptionally good food and good service. Even the breakfast buffet was far above most free breakfasts that are on offer. The guestrooms were very quiet (even the a/c fan was quiet). Beds were comfortable. Good quality linens, pillows and towels. Beds were especially comfortable and seemed new. Carpet looked new. The only thing I might suggest for the rooms is that they might add a floor lamp to improve the lighting. Also, they might think about bringing up the quality of bathroom amenities to current trend in higher quality in larger affixed bottles instead of small disposables It's obvious that they're gradually upgrading an older property and haven't gotten to the hallway paint yet. But that doesn't affect the guestrooms experience. I highly recommend this property.

El servicio de recepción es muy bueno. Recomendaciones, buena ayuda, habitación limpia, pero no tengo la llave del casillero así que no puedo cerrarlo. Es posible que al mismo tiempo quede muy poco espacio para bañarse. Es posible que tenga que permanecer de pie y esperar. También recomendamos agregar champú, lo cual sería fantástico.

No es nuestra primera vez que nos quedamos aquí - pero nos dejamos con un sentido de frustración hoy! El hotel se encuentra en una zona de 2 horas, donde el servicio de la puerta de atrás no puede encontrar nuestra reserva.  La reserva fue encontrada en el momento de la entrada de la ciudad. Nos dejamos literalmente en nuestra habitación 2 minutos antes de que el agente de escritorio nos intentó pagar algo del bar de snack. No podía decirnos qué objeto habíamos “consumido” (no habíamos consumido nada - especialmente a esos precios!) y luego cuando se preguntó cómo podrían saber dentro de 2 minutos (de nosotros saliendo de nuestra habitación) que un artículo había sido consumido - se convirtieron en muy defensivo y no podían responder realmente a la pregunta de “¿Cómo sabes qué nos cuesta” y la respuesta fue “es para el informe al final del día - nadie dice que realmente tomó nada”. Except that’s exactly what the desk cleark said the charge was going to be for - “an item from the snack bar for a total of $4.20”. Después de rechazar la tasa, se nos dijo que no se pagaría ninguna tasa en la tarjeta de crédito. Me hizo sentir como si hubiéramos ”robado” algo cuando pedimos una mayor clarificación sobre la acusación. “No se disculpe ni le agradezco que hayas estado con nosotros”. Decepcionante. Nota de lado - El servicio en el casino fue excelente - incluyendo el restaurante.

Location is good, not far from the airport and the shuttle is great. There is some tiny noise from the train next to the hotel
