Cuando entré en la habitación, el olor innegable de orina perfume el aire. Busqué la fuente y, mientras estaba en la cama, la encontré. Era el MATTRESS!!!!! ¡Pido que nos ponga en otra habitación, que fue acompañada de una disculpa. En la otra habitación, huele menos como la orina. Sin embargo, levanté la alfombra y me di cuenta 2 sucias, Quiero decir sucias, SOCKS que habían estado allí desde quién-sabe-cuándo!!!! Esto significa que las hojas no se limpiaron, tampoco!!!! Teníamos que irse!!! Esta fue una excursión de emergencia y nunca volveremos a ir aquí!

El servicio en el hotel era bueno. El hotel estaba cerca de todos los lugares de comida para comer. La habitación estaba muy limpia. Cuando vuelva a Nueva Orleans, reservaré el mismo hotel.

I booked this Americas Best Value Inn & Suites @ Lake Charles I210-Exit-5. There was NOTHING that was comparing to a suite. In fact, it is more like a motel class. There were several factors that made us NOT HAPPY staying here, and will probably will not stay here in future. I am explaining why I rated this hotel/motel below its class: (a) first the hotel is on ”cheap” side. The towels provided were very limited, and there was no towel for the floor. The lighting in the room, as well as thru-out the property was annoying. Everywhere I see bright florescent day-time white light, so bright. The room has this same light from ceiling down. It was so bright, no adjustment. It's hard for a person to sleep, while the other person is awake and needs light. The room is a lacking several fundamental items for a hotel, no coffee machine. The shampoo/soap provided were some sample 1-person ones. The ”breakfast” area was a joke. The only thing proved was coffee, that were not good at all. Yet, trip.com's reservation had me selected either room with or without breakfast. So, I booked with breakfast. But there was nothing provided. I asked the receptionist, he said, they don't have breakfast, just coffee. The plus side was that, they provided a good size refrigerator. And they have the microwave in the 'breakfast” area. Although it seemed a recently built hotel, but it's just a basic motel, lacking basic necessity items in hotel room. Overall, I would not stay here again.

Ubicación, instalaciones, limpieza y servicio, excelentes.

Un gran lugar para relajarse y pasar un rato a solas. Ojalá limpiaran el piso a fondo mientras mis pies se ensucian.

Después de un cambio de planes terminamos con una noche extra en Nueva Orleans antes de volar, así que decidimos permanecer cerca del aeropuerto para hacer el día siguiente más fácil. Aquí se encuentra el autobús 202 del aeropuerto, que habíamos tomado desde el aeropuerto hasta el centro de la ciudad 3 días antes, que nos dejó en el monumento de los Veteranos Blvd. No hay muchas instalaciones cerca, pero el hotel tiene snacks etc para la venta, y un buen desayuno incluido. La habitación era acogedora y limpia. La TV tenía Netflix y la cama estaba muy cómoda. Disfrutamos de la piscina y relajación esa noche. This motel is special: I’m a motel fan and it is the first motel I’ve ever see that goes with an elevator! it gave me both a surprise and delight that I could easily carry my luggage to the second floor. You can tell the owner knows how to do business: it’s TV is even larger than the one I lived in downtown NOLA—and most important of all, the TV is working very well. Before switching to this motel, I lived in Aloft New Orleans Downtown for 3 nights, with nightly rate above $200, yet I felt quite inconvenient because Aloft lacked this and that. So really, amenities can be new or old, but the sense of the owner to invest in essentials to provide convenience does not necessarily mean that these things have to be “fancy” (but useless). While I wouldn’t say the level of cleanliness was also super—it was ok (though the blankets could have been nicer)—but overall in the world of motels, this one makes me feel that the owner does intend to offer you some needed service.

The location was near lots of restaurants so we didn't have to go far to find a place to eat. They were doing construction but it wasnt too bad. The room was upstairs and it was ok. I had to go ask for more towels. The guy at the desk said there were 2 in the room. I told him we had 4 people in the room. He double-checked to be sure then he gave me 2 washcloths and 2 towels. There was only 1 small towel to use on the bathroom floor after stepping out of the shower and 1 roll of toilet tissue, 1 bag that goes in the ice container. They have the bare necessities so if you need any extras you will have to ask the front desk to request more. During breakfast the 1st day, it was around 8:20 and they was no waffle mix at all. The waffle iron was there but no mix. The second day I didn't even bother to go to breakfast. The staff was cordial. The stay was ok for the time I was in town. I dont think I would choose it for my family to stay, maybe just myself alone.

Do not expect a five star stay at that historical place - expect a decent hotel, with one or other ”discrepancies”. The staff was at the check in and on the check out - verry verry friendly, already given some informations, about places to go and what is not worth to go. The room cleaness - was okay - the Hotel itself, they know, that they cannot - and i think they don´t want to match with big groups. A big advantage is a free parking space at the road, the Hotel itself, was quiet during night! Close to the Hotel - there is a starbucks coffee for breakfast . All in All - if you want to stay - as it was in former times - stay there.
