La ubicación era excelente y las habitaciones estaban limpias y cómodas. También había un baño público grande, algo que agradecí, y pude usarlo tanto por la noche como por la mañana. El desayuno también estaba delicioso. Sin duda, me alojaría aquí de nuevo si vuelvo a esta zona.

Ubicación: Excelente ubicación, justo enfrente de la terminal de autobuses de Nohi, ¡a unos 5 minutos a pie! Muy práctico. Servicio: El personal de recepción del hotel fue muy atento, amable y profesional. Instalaciones: El nuevo hotel cuenta con instalaciones bien equipadas y las vistas desde las plantas superiores son fantásticas. Incluso hay un baño termal en la azotea, ¡muy cómodo! Limpieza: ¡El hotel estaba impecablemente limpio y ordenado! Tuvimos suerte: ¡vimos la primera nevada en nuestro primer día en Takayama! Nos despertamos con un paisaje nevado, ¡e incluso había un adorable muñeco de nieve en la entrada del hotel! El mercado matutino de Miyagawa estaba a unos 15 minutos a pie, donde disfrutamos de bolas de arroz con carne de Hida y una rica leche de Takayama, ¡una experiencia muy satisfactoria! ¡Recomiendo encarecidamente este hotel termal! Como reservamos con antelación, ¡la relación calidad-precio fue excelente!

I stayed for 5 nights, and first of all, the price is very reasonable for a backpacker hostel. Check-in is done online: you choose your language, scan your passport, and have a f2f call with the staff via an iPad. FYI, there is a mandatory accommodation tax in Japan of 100 yen per night. You can also request a paid ”Irori” service at a nearby sister branch, where you can grill your own ingredients over a traditional Japanese sunken hearth. Just a reminder: you can get fresh ingredients from the nearby market ”Family Store Satoh” or further away at ”Surugaya Asumo.” The common area isn't huge, and the kitchen is basic but functional with tableware, an electric kettle, ovens, a microwave, and a mini fridge. The tap water is drinkable; the mixer tap can be toggled to adjust the temperature, so you won't get a chill from the ice cold water in winter! 😂 In the back, there are a toilet, three shower stalls, and communal sinks, along with a washing machine and dryer that are free to use (you just need to buy detergent from the capsule machine or bring your own) Since it's a hostel, the dorms have top and bottom bunks. The bunks are quite spacious and come with two power outlets (remember your travel adapter!), an overhead locker (bring your own padlock), a towel, and two hooks. You have to make your own bed; it's a futon-style setup where you lay the linens on the mattress. A pillow and duvet are provided. During winter, they run the AC (split system) on heat mode to keep it cozy. In the room, there’s a luggage storage area and hanging rods for clothes. On the second floor where I stayed, there are two toilets in the room: one with a urinal and another unisex one with a smart bidet/washlet. To be honest, while it's very close to the Miyagawa Morning Market, it feels a bit far from the Nohi Bus Center and JR Station. If you don't like walking or tire easily, this might be a bit of a challenge. Overall, it's a great, affordable choice for backpackers😗

Puedes disfrutar de dos comidas en la habitación durante una estancia. generoso y los platos son muy exquisitos y hermosos. Mi familia está muy satisfecha.

No me sentí preocupado, así que me pasó mucho tiempo. Hotel de negocios, hotel de personas que trabajan, la impresión de la mañana es que más del 95% de los hombres, y el humor es un poco estúpido. La ubicación es decepcionante, porque está en el segundo piso, designada como una habitación sin fumar.

23 de noviembre de 2025. Después de un día de turismo en Nagoya y de cenar, tomé el tren a Gifu sobre las 20:00. Es un hotel de autoservicio cerca de la estación de Mino-Ota. Me enviaron el código de acceso por correo electrónico con antelación. Una vez dentro, escaneé la foto de mi pasaporte en un iPad para ver el número de habitación y el código de la cerradura electrónica; muy práctico y adecuado para viajeros solos. Hay ascensor. La habitación tenía baño privado, bañera y ducha. También nos proporcionaron toallas y pijamas, y había spray desodorante en el perchero; artículos muy limpios y prácticos. A la mañana siguiente, sobre las 5:00, caminé hasta la estación para ver el Buda Hotei (el de las gafas de sol). También es un hotel conveniente para llegar al Castillo de Inuyama.

Este hotel, completamente nuevo, consta de varios edificios de dos plantas. Varios edificios cuentan con dispensadores de agua. Las habitaciones son enormes para los estándares japoneses, están bien diseñadas y decoradas con buen gusto, con electrodomésticos modernos y colchones firmes. Nuestra habitación, en la segunda planta, tenía una ventana que se abría. El ruido de la construcción es prácticamente inaudible y por la noche reina la tranquilidad. El hotel se encuentra un poco alejado del centro de la ciudad, a 5 minutos en tren desde la estación y luego a 2 o 3 minutos a pie. Busque el nombre en japonés en Google Maps. La tienda de conveniencia más cercana está a 10 minutos a pie y el centro de la ciudad a 15 minutos.

Staying at Hostel Miyagawa by Murasaki Ryokan was truly one of the highlights of my trip — an unforgettable experience that beautifully blended comfort, tradition, and hospitality. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed into a warm, peaceful atmosphere that reflected the essence of a traditional Japanese ryokan. The design of the space is charming and authentic, with thoughtful touches that bring out the beauty of Japanese culture. Everything from the tatami rooms to the meticulously clean facilities made the stay incredibly comfortable. What truly made it special, though, was the feeling of calm and connection to local traditions that this place offers. It’s more than just a place to sleep — it’s a cultural experience in itself. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to immerse themselves in an authentic and beautiful ryokan stay.

Lovely little guesthouse only 10 or so minutes from Takayama station. The common room is so cute, with loads of ghibli merch, manga, comfy sofas and even a couple computers. Staff were all really lovely and the attached coffee shop looked to be quite nice. I booked a private room which was great for what I needed, more than enough space for a big suitcase, comfy bed and nicely heated for the winter. Was really nice chatting with the other travellers as well.
